Retribution?

OK 'drog, if Muhammad won't go to the Mountain, so to speak...

Marple leaf takes a middle of the road view of Venky's at Ewood.

Two things catch my eye:

- he quotes them making £12m on £100m turnover; that is the publicly quoted business

- he reveals Venky's London Limited's loan is against the security of its assets.

So Rovers' loan is secured against Rovers' income and the debt which Venky's London Limited transferred to itself is secured against all Rovers' assets.

This means Rovers became far more vulnerable to the banks within six weeks of Venky's buying than the club ever was under the Trust.

I think this is looking downright scary.

Nobody should be coming on here thinking poor Mrs D or why has the Bank turned against Rovers.

This is utter mismanagement by Pune- pure and simple.

It has nothing to do with the strangeness of running a football club- it is straightforward business incompetence.

If you were the bank, you would have seen:

- a sale agreement that was supposed to guarantee the future of Rovers systematically dishonoured in every phrase of the agreement

- a long standing well-established business lose its entire management team and be replaced with nothing

- the new owners take out mortgages which DOUBLED the Bank's exposure to the Rovers

- £49m come into the club's accounts which was left unused and untouchable

- a security line expire and receive no communication about the continuing debt which remain unpaid

This is an absolute no brainer. Of course the bank would call in the debt.

not sure if this is anywhere yet but Ive just been sent this news from a source

A source has revealed and not just to me but to other respected source getter's the following astonishing news

OK I was not going to post this but and I have had many chats to the merit of doing so. so here we go grab ur beers and and hot dogs cos this in a Vbers exclusive

Steve Kean has been removed as Blackburn Manager with immediate effect, He has been put on Gardening leave after i major explosive argument the club owners had with Kentaro

Kentaro are Keans agents however they have got frustrated with Kean after he continued to promote his friend Barry Mackintosh as the preferred agent Rovers should use. He was the instrumental in the capture of Formica and had also pushed another one of his clients to the front in Pavone, The player was expected to complete formalities this week, but in a surprise twist Huber of Kentaro recommend to the new owners that Kean was out of his depth and the board hadn't used a resource on offer to them by signing Kentaro clients.

However Mrs D reacted angrily to this recommendation and has not only severed ties with Kentaro but they have decided Kean must go too as they have been lead up the garden path. His bullet proof role suddenly changed when an unnamed premier league player rovers wanted told Venkys through his agent that he we would rather retire than sign for a team managed by Kean, Kentaros outburst was the bullet they needed to pull the trigger

John Jensen's rolling contract will not be renewed at the end of the month in a further twist and Rovers have already highlighted Kean's replacement.

Mrs D hopes to have Mark Hughes in place before next Monday so he can lead the club in Asia in the upcoming Asia cup. Hughes is keen to return and has been promised full control of transfers with no interference from Agent agencies, The group WILL make transfer funds available to make this window a success and have now changed their stance of their original statement a couple of weeks ago that they hope to complete things within 2 weeks , its is now hoped Hughes can identify his targets and they can get them concluded before September the First

The knock on effect is Pavone has had his hotel room removed from him and has been sent packing.

 Now this is funny, i can just imagine him fast asleep at 2am when all of a sudden the staff barge in on him, turf him out in his boxers, and then saying "your not welcome in here pal"

Brillient.

As for the rest of it, not a chance of it happening.

You under estimate the pull of a club such as ours, even in these trying times.

They'd be queuing up for Keans job.

As for the bad news, if its Samba going then so be it, means Hanley will have to step up earlier than we'd like, but we'll manage.

We'll have to. Gav you are plumbing new depths. You now surely know that your opinions are completely worthless? Nobody worthwhile as a manager will even look at the BRFC job now and if you think Hanley can replace Samba in the prem this season you are having a laugh.

btw After all you wrote last winter. After all your hatred of the management, all your ignorance concerning the business side of the club and arguing that black was white as the club descended into the mire you are still coming out with increasingly stupid statements. Can I just ask....

1. Gav are you happy with the position of BRFC now? Really happy? Do you think we have progressed or regressed with the brave new world that you embraced so eagerly?

2. If you had the chance to turn the clock back to Nov 16th would you?

3. Why don't you now just walk away from here? Resiliant that you are you must surely know that your opinions have been proven an absolute joke... albeit I can't hear many people laughing, and that any credibility that you may have had once is now shot to pieces.

I'm sure there is still room on the next flight to Cambodia.

It's not all bad. Sam is no longer our manager

My mistake.

:o

Do we still have messageboard gold?

Try having a pint, going for a walk or spending time with loved ones, works a treat.

What will be will be, you have to make the best of it booth, and on that note I'm walking round to gordons house for a pint and cuddle.

After all you've come out with since Nov? You'll have to do it on your knees and involve lots of broken glass Gav.

I took you off ignore because I felt eventually insanity would take over you, can’t be much fun replying to someone who has no interest in anything you’ve got to say, week after week, month after month.

Blackburn Rovers managerial position, regardless of the owners incompetence, would still be a sought after position if Kean was sacked, and that’s not just my opinion, that’s a fact.

As for Hanley replacing Samba, we’ve got no choice in the matter if we’re skint and Sambas sold, so we’ll have to go with it won’t we, I was making no other point than that on Hanley.

Hope that clears things up gordon, the rest of your post is complete and utter cr@p, something never change eh :D

Have had some communication with Venky's. No sale of the club imminent, not actively looking to sell the club, will do a story for this site hopefully Wednesday which will give background to what is happening.

With respect Kamy they were always going to deny that one. Asking them that is not worth the price of the phone call.

Its goign to be pretty easy to see if the stuf fon Vital BLacknurn (or Rovers) website is correct - anyone know what time the skysports press conference is today with Steve Kean ? if he is there, he hasn`t been sacked basically, otherwise that would be ludicrous, if its cancelled or re-scheduled that it may indicate some truth around it. Either way, we should find out today if not confirmed from any "sources" beforehand

We must remember, part of this was reported on here by Nicko, Pavone had been told to leave the hotel, this would be consistant with the parts mentioned in the Kean sacking post!!

I heard last weekend of something to do with Mark Hughes and his backroom team but really didnt pay much attention to it.

Desperately disappointing if we are genuinely in difficulties, and can't afford to bring in any new players of any note, thought and hoped that sad state of affairs hsd departed with the Walker Trust. It must be said that that the lack of incomings and being linked to people like Tony Warner and resigning rubbish like Benjani are consistent with the rumours about the Bank and totally inconsistent with a transfer kitty of c30m being available.

Key questions: Are the Bank suddenly demanding repayment of our longstanding c18m Bank overdraft or merely new borrowings taken out since January? Nicko seems to think it's the former and if so it's very odd and the question that has to be asked is why? Are the Bank simply uncomfortable that former key personnel have left the Club or is it the case as some have suggested that Venky's have missed or overlooked an interest repayment which has automatically triggered the demand for repayment? If the Bank are suddenly requesting repayment of the original overdraft for the former of those two reasons they are surely being completely unreasonable and the owners deserve a degree of sympathy. If however they've run up a mountain of debt since January with little tangible to show for it, or have overlooked a simple repayment deadline then both of those situations are completely avoidable.

Here's hoping the situation can be quickly resolved by the Rao's either injecting some of their own personal wealth or negotiating new credit facilities. If we are in a mess however responsibility lies fairly and squarely 100% with Rothschilds and the Walker Trust who were charged with passing the Club on into safe hands - in particular the Trustees who were of course responsible for the well being of Jack's businesses.

Family will surely always come first and a prem club is a money pit. Owning a Prem club these days is for billionaires not millionaires Simon.

I'll ask you the same question that nicko didn't answer re: the Barclays situation. If it was your money would you be happy to lend it to BRFC in the current situation and under the current regime? I bloody well wouldn't.

I hear Kean has a press conference also, if he's there then business as usual, if not Glenn better feed the hamsters.
