[Archived] Rumour: Venky's To Sell?

Recommended Posts

Roversinsider has tweeted this:

2/2 have separate businesses. Venkys London (rovers owners) are completely separate. Most money is in assets 4 all of them not cash #Rovers

Make any sense to anyone?

Gumboots we have to pack our stuff into crates too, wonderful BSF project!

Just remember: "hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." Shawshank Redemption.

Is your school shaped like a christmas tree and does it have a lime green doughnut for a reception desk? Ours does - it arrived today much to the excitement of the kids. And i haven't given up hope of better things happening at Rovers - I just can't see where they are going to come from at the moment.

11'o clocker, the only bright light at the moment.

Just read Roversinsider on Twitter, he said positive talks with the bank about a new mortgage facility- could this be the positive news Nicko is alluding to?

No.

There is the sale of a player close. Well, close-ish.

It has come to the boil a bit today but then the tour collapse chaos kicked in.

So you will have to look hard to find it in the middle of that nonsense in the paper.

'Positive news' about new mortgages... this wasn't the dream we were sold, was it?

Can we assume that this is good news because it will allow us to purchase players?

It will be very interesting to see where the money goes.

In the midst of all of the tour stuff and the Kean rumours garbage of today there have also been whispers of 'moves' for players.

So perhaps the sale would fund those.

Or maybe Venkys are going to dip into the pledged funds.

As for the Phil Jones cash, better ask the bank manager about where that is...

I can't imagine this will be great news though?

Since if it's Samba yes we'll get spending money but we'll have had our defence ripped out..

And if it's not I can't see how we'll get enough money from the sale for it to make much difference?

It would be good news because you would get a fair price for an average player.

Where that money goes is going to be intriguing.

It might help you up one of your low bids for the C List players you were working on last week.

The financial ruin everyone keeps eluding to, is incorrect and should be used as chip shop paper, Individuals with a lack of business acrumen and finacial understanding have written this stuff to sell papers.

That post was way too long a quick update you call it, blimey I've aged 50 years.

Good point here, I 99% expect this to be the case.

It better be Grella and Andrews for £20m for this to be "good news". We can't keep selling players when we can't even afford free agents.

By the way - hanks for posting the news you heard, Black Burn. Hopefully there's some truth to it.

I'm guessing Kalinic.

Still, it's not going to do anything for the Jones money. Can't believe these idiots have managed to lose it - even if the bank didn't help in the matter :angry2:

POSITIVE NEWS TOMORROW...cant add more yet, as for now that's enough for today #Rovers

I hope we keep Kalinic. The best finisher at the club at the mo. Played well on Saturday aswell.

I reckon the player that Nicko is on about is Pedersen or Andrews most likely Peds.

Nicko, do you know the names of any players on the C-list or what position we are looking to fill first???

If Kean sold Andrews his popularity would go up.

Even Tony Gales Mic would love him.

We would all be saying 31str August, ok we sold Jones, Samba and Kalinic and not signed any players, but at least we also sold Andrews.
