[Archived] Rumour: Venky's To Sell?

Recommended Posts

Nicko, do you know the names of any players on the C-list or what position we are looking to fill first???

The names being worked on most recently are Vieirinha - the little Portuguese lad - and Valdez - the Paraguayan striker. Both will cost more money than you have been prepared to offer or can currently afford.

Pavone is gone.

Mongongu seems to be off the radar...if yesterday's statement is to be believed.

It's a long drop from the £10 million Venkys cash plus sales proceeds that was the case just two or three weeks ago.

A very long drop.

What worries me is what comes at the end of a long drop!

Vieirinha looks a good skillful player.

Valdez is decent. good work rate and pace.

Pavone not a lost in my view, rather have Valdez then him.

Mongongu is a player we should be looking at. We need cover at centre back unless we are going to play Matthew pearson this season.

We need at least 3 or 4 players this season. A defender who can play anywhere at the back, midfielder, striker, then a winger.

I hope we do not sign Benjani.

Is Reo-coker or Santa Cruz a target for Kean, considering Reo Coker is on a free?

It's absolutely shocking the way our club is being handled its like one extreme to the other in less than 12 months. What a laughing stock, its embarrassing.

I know this post is just a pointless rant (and probably repeated by most rovers fans) but forgive me.

I have tried to stay optimistic for as long as possible but all this business today has tipped me over the edge!

Genuine question: at what point did Pompey hit the headlines regarding the goings on at the club? And where there similar warning signs at an early stage?

We haven't even had the enjoyment of 'living the dream', over-extending ourselves, having great players at the club, winning the FA Cup.

We've just gone to the bit where it all seems to be coming apart at the seams.

Portsmouth tens of million, we have spent minus 17 million.

Nothing like Portsmouth.

Worst case scenario Samba and Hoilett. I can't even begin to think how gutted I will be if that happens

put it this way.. the writing is on the wall. heard from 3 people, that someone else has been added to the owners payroll! and its not good news.

no point having a transfer thread!

this is beyond depressing!
