A cup of beans Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Can't see it, only probably have 2-3 players who would being in any decent cash for a start..... and how good are we as it stands.. with those 3 players! ??? its not the fact that the facilitator has been brought in.. he wont help at all.. but its what he's there to do that bothers me more!

nicko Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 are star players going to be sold nicko or just the grellas and goulons etc I know for a fact that the manager has resisted approaches for Samba and Hoilett in the past few days. In his view there is no point in selling those players. You CAN sell Kalinic if you accept a decent fee. You might sell Andrews if he was not on big wages. You won't get a penny for Grella who is on even bigger wages. The fee on Diouf's head is also laughable. I think some people inside the club need a very quick reality check.
Taggart Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Nicko / Zac - nay idea what the twitter chap is referring to with Positive news tomorrow ? the advisor chap, is he there for buying players as well as selling ?
Speedie Dived Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hmmm, i doubt that. If it was to sell our prized assets then why do we need someone to try and make that happen? The best players sell themselves. Agents sell players, common sense. Nicko just confirmed Zac's info
Ripleys love child Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! i give up! well your the one who mentioned whats the title of the thread, VENKYS TO SELL
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 The owners have brought in an 'agent' - known to them but to few others in the game - to sell some players. Zaccaius's info is correct. In the meantime there IS a buyer for a player [Kalinic] but he can't go for a few days because ANOTHER Venky allowed a daft agent to get a mandate to sell him for £12 million. Importantly - is his scare mongering correct. None would be too upset at seeing certain players leave - indeed it could help balance the wage bill all the better - but Samba or Hoilett being sold on wouldn't go down too well with the masses. Indeed I would be tempted to ask for me ST money back (only joking - but it would be a big blow to the club)
roverandout Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 whatever players these sc*mmers bring in, wont be good enough. Anything they do now for me is worthless, they have lost the little support i had for them. I just want them out of our club. I would rather rovers not buy anyone than have them bring in a half decent player and people hail them for being miracles workers.
Speedie Dived Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Nicko / Zac - nay idea what the twitter chap is referring to with Positive news tomorrow ? the advisor chap, is he there for buying players as well as selling ? The positive news is that they have found Diouf and he had the Phil Jones money after all
Gav Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 i hear he specialises in PR aswell! Good solid information once again Zac, backed up by our resident journalist. After all the rubbish thats been posted last night and today, your information is a welcome change to the usual attention seeking cr@p that some people post. 10/10

I heard earlier tonight on SSN that a club is interested in Diouf, any ideas who that might be and how much we may get? I'm thinking Venkys have already seen this money come and 'used' it already.
Taggart Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I like +1 The positive news is that they have found Diouf and he had the Phil Jones money after all
Ricky Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I guess the owners are looking at prices we are being quoted and suggesting similar fees for our players. Seems to be the only reason they could ever think niko was worth £12m
patrickvalery Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Agents sell players, common sense. Nicko just confirmed Zac's info Taken very literally Speedie! What i meant is, its a strange remit to have. Why bring someone in to flog our best players? The good ones we have left sell themselves. Samba is wanted by Spurs and Arsenal and Hoillet could have his pick. If the bloke is coming in to start a Carpetright 'everyting must go' sale on some of our duds then it would make sense. If some of the remaining people at the club can't extract the maximum for our best players then they must be daft.

Nicko I am even more baffled. Just what will this guy do? Go through an A to Z of football clubs around the world like some tele-sales worker trying to flog the deadwood like Grella and Diouf? Surely if someone wants one of our players they just pick up the phone and try and strike a deal. Also doesnt the players agent do a lot of the donkey work? Sorry if im being stupid/naive here but I am totally confused about what this 'agent' will be doing?

A cup of beans Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Nicko / Zac - nay idea what the twitter chap is referring to with Positive news tomorrow ? the advisor chap, is he there for buying players as well as selling ? well, there may be good news.. on juniors contract tomorrow.. but dont expect we'll keep him beyond jan!
Gav Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 You weren't his blind date were you Gav? Has he told you about that he's been banging on about it all day

Sorry, i was not meaning in terms of doing the paperwork etc. As far as i am aware it's common practice in football, selling agent would put word out to agents that a player is for sale, even with the top players. They all want a slice of the pie
A cup of beans Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Perhaps we work in the same building So your point is? brain cells are at a premium! check our IPs now, steve!
donnermeat Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I know it's not much of a barometer but the Vieirinha fella looks one hell of a player on You Tube! Bags of skill and would definitely get Ewood excited. But a supposed release clause in his PAOK contract of 13 million Euros will surely put him way beyond our reach. Bummer. Just cause that's his release clause doesn't mean they can't sell him for less though. That figure just means they have to accept when it is reached
chris Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Perhaps we work in the same building So your point is? I thought you were a janitor? or is that just a rumour?
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Maybe the good news is they have a buyer for Diouf? Hes at the club having meetings tomorrow regarding his AWOL and future. Fingers crossed. Although no doubt we wont see the money on transfers.
