Mattyblue Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Good old Rovers loving 365! I've read some badly written, ill informed @#/? in my time but that takes the gold medal.

John Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Bit harsh.... Lacking quality at all levels of the pitch, Blackburn could be truly awful. They have a couple intriguing players and have a lot of pride, but don't seem to have the defenders, the midfield linkup or much proven scoring ability. Kean doesn't exactly inspire confidence on the sidelines, either. Given much of the team's recent success could be explained away to Sam Allardyce's methods), Blackburn's a good bet to be the worst team in the league, a distinction that never lasts for more than one season.
philipl Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 RobbieSavage8 Robbie Savage My old clubs predictions Crewe bottom half, Leicester promotion, birmingham p/off, Blackburn relegation ,derby surviving just ,BAHA top half

Unless the squad is beefed up a bit with some decent signings and another manager - sadly this article could be right. I hope not though.
Amo Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Let's face it, we're an easy target right now. Even without major re-strengthening, the promoted sides are not stronger than us. That doesn't mean we won't be scrapping with them, though. But I wouldn't call us dead certs for relegation. If it helps create a siege mentality, then bring it on.
deftangel Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 The Guardian piece was very fair. I'm worried about our ability to score goals. No idea what this Goodville lad is like but if we're to have a chance we're asking three players with virtually no Premiership experience to all perform off the bat. I like risky but...it's a toss up between 17th & 18th for me as one of the promoted sides will be more than comfortable.
John Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I think even without making a signing in the window it is far too harsh to say dead certs etc for relegation. We have just enough in the squad to scrap and stay up in my view. Of course, if you have a limited squad, more emphasis on the manager to excel.
philipl Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I think Rovers will be more adventurous this season. It is the defence I am seriously worried about- I fear we are going to leak some awfully bad goals.
CaliRoverNYC Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I say we will be 15th, I think we will sign a mid and CB not sure if they will carry us but they will at least provide cover for what we have. I think we finish above Wigan, Wolves, WBA, Norwich and Swansea.
FourLaneBlue Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 As things stand, bottom four is very likely. I would say 19th sounds about right. Unfortunately, I'm usually pretty good at predictions. Hope I'm way out this time. If anything, I think I was being too optimistic...
