Rover & Out Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I think they're grooming Roberts to be Keans assistant. You'd struggle to find a winner in a positivity contest with those two!

I thought the general consensus from the friendly was that he looked distinctly average? The general opinion was he did fine it's just the usual doomsday crowd said he was poor.
den Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 The general opinion was he did fine it's just the usual doomsday crowd said he was poor. Eh? Some said he did fine and some said he was poor - but the one's saying he was poor were wrong and doomsdayers?
Backroom Tom Posted July 21, 2011 Backroom Posted July 21, 2011 All I'm saying is the people I spoke to at the ground all said he did fine. The previous post was potentially a little hasty but the general opinion certainly didn't seem to be all bad.
A cup of beans Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Has he signed? rovers are seriously considering signing him. he hasnt gone to asia. i cannot believe we are happy at signing 28 year old brazilians who cant get into their club sides.
neophox Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Is he on wiki or does anyone got a picture of the chap?
alexanders Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 rovers are seriously considering signing him. he hasnt gone to asia. i cannot believe we are happy at signing 28 year old brazilians who cant get into their club sides. Do you know if he is one of the 2 players supposed to be having talks with the club in London?
Ruaney Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Do you know if he is one of the 2 players supposed to be having talks with the club in London? Sorry, I've been away for a few days!! We're having talks with 2 people in London?
Ripleys love child Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Do you know if he is one of the 2 players supposed to be having talks with the club in London? Ithink he's with the squad in hong kong he's still on trial

The previous post was potentially a little hasty but the general opinion certainly didn't seem to be all bad. He looked pretty nondescript to me at Morecambe, but worst of all he seemed very small!
davulsukur Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 From the LET: Brazilian trialist Bruno Ribeiro has returned home but, having ended his contract with Gremio Prudente, could yet be signed by Rovers permanently. The right back would prefer a move to Ewood Park but also has a number of other options in Brazil. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9159223.Blackburn_Rovers_in_talks_with_Serbian_midfielder_Petrovic/
owenrilla Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Jason Roberts and Zac Aley have posted pictures of "Bruno" and David Goodwillie doing their welcome songs. I'm assuming this means Ribeiro either has or will soon be signing. Roberts Aley
67splitscreen Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 How strange, thought he'd gone home unless it is from weeks ago.
bennyboyt11 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 How strange, thought he'd gone home unless it is from weeks ago. But Goodwillie is doing his...
owenrilla Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 How strange, thought he'd gone home unless it is from weeks ago. It looks to me like the Bruno and Goodwillie did them at the same meeting, which would make it recent. Could be wrong though.
goodwillie_style Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 bruno ribeiro has signed ,thats what zac aley says on twitter

No i think you are right, most seemed to think he had been sent packing, from the Dunk at least, guess is bill is getting bigger by the day. Perhaps he went home while we were in HK and has returned.
Backroom Tom Posted August 5, 2011 Backroom Posted August 5, 2011 We may need hi, Salgado has limped off in Paul Scholes testimonial Notch another one up for Roversinsider, wasn't it just today he said Ribeiro had gone home?
Hughesy Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Yep think the initiation songs were today, so looks likely. Good to see the good spirit our players seem to have!
Balwer Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 happy to have him as we have no fullback depth although it seems a stretch to think he'd push Olsson and Givet out, even if both of them are suited at different positions. Can he play on the right or is Emo still the #2 there?
