Summer Transfer Window Part 4

There is so much going on right now that it is hard to keep up.

A remarkable [new] target that might come off.

A major summit.

More Kalinic drama [which has actually moved on since I wrote it two hours ago].

Some Diouf stuff that isn't even going to make the paper.

And, by the way, the bank problem is 100 per cent right - confirmed to me by someone who would know tonight.

Not much going on then... ;)

maybe this explains pavone ???

Aren't Schalke in cahoots with Gazprom? Their problem is a bloated squad, not finances...

The target is Raul.

Nicko, Are Kean and Jensen in India talking to the owners?

Nicko What about Keans interview, which he claims we have sizeable bids in for 2 players ?.

Fact or Fiction.Cheers Nicko.

I don't what 'sizeable' is any more. And anyway it's signings not bids that count.

The priority now - as it has been for about three weeks - is sorting out the finance problem caused by the bank and getting the owners to get the money out.

The bank's trick was dsigned to damage the owners. It has worked. But they should be more determined and get their cash out rather than sulking.

Hopefully moving for Raul suggests they have had a surge of enthusiasm.

Some big issues here.

I don't think anyone is 100 per cent sure whether selling Samba or Kalinic would see the money spent on new players...or how much would be there.

THAT is one of the subjects being discussed at a huge summit in India tomorrow...manager and assistant [strangely] are there.

I know there are rumours both will be bumped. But I am told they will also be asking questions about the budget.

Raul would probably be a good 3/4th choice striker. I'd love to see Kean try and sell him to us as our 15+ goal a season man! That guy could charm the wool from a sheep..

End of the day though I'd love to see another Bernabeu legend strut his jerry - hatrick stuff at Ewood.

Pretty sure when he signed Nicko said he needed another twelve months in this country to qualify, he's done his time, he signed for Pompey in 2006, is the qualifying period not five years?.

I can't believe we are even discussing Benjani. I thought those days of austerity had gone...

Anyway, he has been offered a deal on low dough. He tried to get a better one elsewhere and didn't. So he might still stay.

On the passport, he needs to stay here a bit longer - ideally in employment - to get one.

Neither can rovers pay his wages.

Got to say I thought that might be the case earlier in the day. But I wouldn't be certain now after what I have heard.

It will be a frank meeting.

Like - what is there to spend? what happened with the budget? what happened with the tour? what happened with the shirt sponsor? and WHO is making the calls on signings?

Hopefully the answers will come out of that and stop the current problems.

Have we not been here before????

Raul would be a great signing, he just turned 34 but he's a hard worker and knows how to finish. Would bring back some enthusiasm back to this place. Not holding my breath though, but hoping we can pull this one off.

Heard from someone in the know that Kean will soon apply for an Indian citizenship as he's been visiting Pune frequently in recent months. Can anyone confirm this?

Raul? Again??

I'd like it. Won't happen. Already moved on.

black burn.. are you on commission for mentioning Vital ??

not being egotistical in the slightest... all i was saying is my stuff gets backed up! your v mates havent got anything right yet.. av they ?? :P if they have no one has backed it up!

Nobody's been right in here since this thread was started, so as far as I'm concerned, most have been wrong, apart from those with an opinion, and not a "source."

I'd say the only person here that's given us any insight that has been good has been Roberto Policano.

Reports are that we've already but an offer in for Raul (Daily Mirror)

Can't see why we keep going for the as-beens. :(

What about building a team for the future which if it keeps going like this then there won't be much of a future. :(

I am sure we looked at Raul last summer, Salgado in some way helped convince Raul to come but the trust said no, I am sure this came out a few weeks after Sam left, could be wrong of course.

One word on this bank subject - and no more.

I have heard who was advising them to pull the plug on the relationship. The owners have heard the same thing - that has now reached me via a circuitous route.

I would dearly love to have proof, but nobody is going to own up to that. I hope the owners come out and point fingers if they have any proof.

There are other clubs getting the squeeze from the bank this summer.

Rovers just got squeezed harder.

Can someone translate Niko for me?

BLACKBURN Rovers have now made a formal offer to Canadian starlet Junior Hoilett as the club make every attempt to secure his long term Ewood Park future.

Rovers offer Hoilett formal deal

roberto is a great guy.

there's no pleasing some people.. "speaking in riddles" but then when i come out with the stuff i get "he's being a tit and an egotist!" i cannot win.

i can quite easily not post what i hear then ?? if its not valued. or just PM a select few ??

he wasnt at rovers yesterday, fact! i believe jensen and kean travelled to london yesterday.. and then were due to fly on to india from there! ;)

I don't think we need to pay the Raul story much attention. Horst Heldt says contract negotiations will be held in January/February.

what you take of this info,i speak to this guy alot and he knows alot about schalke , i would trust him over you anyday
