Milito on those huge wages would be a risk. He's starting to get on in years (which is sad to say, because he's younger than me) and if he's going to be picking up a lot of nagging injuries going forward there's no way he'd be worth the investment.

He is good but £115,000 a week and 8million transfer fee on a two year contract that's 20million+ including bonuses and agent fee's he is good but he isn't worth 10mill a season.

We should run a mile from that. He would have to get us into the Champions League to be worth it and there has to be a huge risk that either:-

1) He won't be that effective in the prem

2) He gets consistently injured

Would be a crazy transfer for that money at 32 years old.

I don't care if he is Diego Forlan. He, and 99.9% of the target mentioned on here, isn't worth that kind of money.

I agree, £150,000 a week is far too much for someone who is unproven in the PL, and someone who will only have 2-3 years to prove himself.

Agreed. But 2-3 years is pushing it. Unless Milito is a totally committed professional, we are looking at 1-2 years, tops.

I actually also think that there is a good chance we will see a couple of familiar faces return on loan (JJ and RSC) if the additional striker doesn't land.

I would be 100% in favor of JJ on loan. Or purchased, if the price were right.

RSC was, and will always be I am afraid, a waste. We made a profit on him once. Let's not tarnish that piece of good business because of nostalgia over what he once was but no longer is.
