Isn't Gunning a CB? If we dont think he's going to cut it then let him go. Anderson wont get pitch time this season either so its hardly an issue. Not worth getting too upset over. Far more important issues to be resolved this summer.

Gunning played both Centre Back and Left Back for Motherwell!!

He is great at taking throw-ins that Myles guy. Dont know about Gunnings throw-ins.

Absolutely spot on.

Gunning 'looks' like a footballer unlike Anderson who, IMO, wears Teflon boots and is so cumbersome.

This is not being paranoid but merely realistic. As I said earlier, IMO, Anderson would not have been offered terms anywhere in the Football League let alone the PL.

IMO, one very, very poor decision and the other a complete nonsense.

Im not denying that Anderson shouldnt be here, but its not going to make a difference provided that he doesn't get into the first team, which he wont. There are far bigger issues going on right now. Don't think it is a minor issue.

Anderson being here means there is one less opportunity for someone more capable - it should be based on merit.

You only need to see Anderson in action for 10 minutes or so, IMO, he is so unnatural for a footballer, a total mule.

Now this is the one I dont get, a young under 21 international who has performed well in the Scottish Premier League is sold to Dundee United, Myles Anderson, who plays the same position gets a Rovers contract after 2 mins as sub when Aberdeen were winning 5 - 0 and failed to even make the bench on a few occassions!!

Somebody explain, if we needed a player for cover there, Gunning was the man, instead we have Anderson!!

What is happening?

Kean rates Anderson, he doesn't rate Gunning, simple as that Kelbo.

Didn't realise we were selling Gunning- thought it was a loan job.

Bad move IMO.

Just out of interest, has anyone either either seen Anderson play or heard anything of him that is in any way positive?

An honest question because I actually have no idea - Is Myles Anderson actually so horrendous that ANY other club wouldn't touch him? Have people seen him play? whats he like? Or is it just because he is JA's son?

I actually dont have an opinion on him so i'll wait to see what he is like IF he plays...

Think you echo the thoughts of 98% of Rovers' supporters.

Difficult to see much happening next week with Kean in court on Monday (even the possibility of a custodial) and international week.

Assuming Petro's w.p. comes through, at best, he'll be on bench as no time with squad. Also, expect to see Willie on bench which means, we are likely at this stage, to kick-off with no new players on the field.

Sick of all the talk, talk, talk. All we hear, IMO, is shyte, shyte, shyte.

It seems to now be gospel that transfer fees and wages for a marquee signing will be paid for from Venkys' own pockets and NOT from Rovers cash.

We still do not know for a fact if Venkys have actually spent any of their own cash apart from the initial purchase price to the Walkers and I don't remember any direct quotes from the family about marquee funding.

If we end up funding a marquee from Rovers funds then we are heading down the Portsmouth route.

Unfortunately, we haven't had much to be positive about since Venky's took over !

I'll give credit where credit is due.

In actual fact, I think investing in young UK players like Willie is a good option.
