Can anyone find that clip from Myles Anderson throw in for me? Cant find it.

the one against Kitchee where he was a like a mile behind the line

I'm sorry but this is mostly BS. I don't know who this guy is but I seem to remember he did something similar last week with a whole bunch of names, none of them checked out and subsequently no bids for them.

is the Raul thing BS too Kamy

Would you prefer Big Sam style of play or Steve Keans style? I have to say that we play much more attractive football under Kean than under Fat SAM!

Is it anyone than me that believes that Mark Hughes could be involved at rovers? He's still unemployed and a lot believed he would be in at Chelsea. Watch this space!

Here we go again, Big Sam, Kean, now Hughes, Seriously stop harping back.

Fact no more Sam = so stop it. (We were never in fear of relegation little or no money to spend)

Fact Kean = crap so far, give him 10 matches with potential new players (Always in fear of relegation, he has had more to spend than Sam)

Hughes = Wouldn't mind him back.(Never any fear of relegation, had relatively plenty to spend during his tenure).

2 out of 3 Hughes wins hands down. :brfc: :brfc:

Interesting BBC piece on free transfers. Former Rovers Robbie Savage and Simon Barker interviewed.

Thanks for the article Philip, it is interesting, how times change eh? Perhaps the game is starting to sober up a bit financially?

As for the people on the list, I saw mostly mediocre bench warmers to be honest so no real value on their current wage demands, and Jason Koumas, what a waste of a talent he was, shame, at one stage I thought he'd be a belting CM

You would describe his management as crap?

No not really his management of Blackburn Rovers (that's what he's paid for)is appalling atrocious, nearly gets us relegated and spins that into a positive, may go to Jail next week if the judge wants to make a name for him/herself,in any case has done himself no favours so yes I stand by, appalling atrocious.

If he goes to jail for that then i'll go to jail for spitting and driving at 33 in a 30. Negates the rest of your drivvel. He's not a bloody paedo.

Last 7 days in terms of players in have been positive. We have wrapped up Goodwillie deal, Petrovic is done (subject to work permit) and now pressing on with Verinha (sp) deal. That is very good going and shows new procedures are working well.

Now if they can sign Veriniha (sp), then push on with getting in a striker and possibly a defender then that is good going.

That would be an understatement!!

Managing is doing just that, not being the owners puppet!!

You have no idea how he manages, absolutely none. You dont like the guy because he represents Venky's, as far as management goes, the jury is still out.

He took us into a relegation scrap and got us out of one. He got more out of Hoilett then Sam ever did and looks like he did well with both Rochina and Formica. For me, the test as to whether Kean can manage a premier league side starts next week. He's had the summer with the squad and has had enough time to get the players to play his way. There are no excuses from now on. That's the difference between now and when he took the job on.

Quite frankly Im surprised he hasnt voluntarily walked considering how he's been messed about with by the owners. If he leaves, who the hell would come in??

Anyway, hope there's some progress made with the portugese kid soon. Really sounds like a decent player.

I really tried not to get involved :D BUT.....if Kean was so bad, he wouldn't have kept us in this league, and don't start going on about players managing themselves because thats bunkum!

Couple more players in and we could all be singing the mans praises come Christmas.

Name me one manager who would have three, maybe four players plus himself buggering about in Pune less than two weeks before the season starts, a crucial time for pre season training and a cruicial time in the transfer window!!!

The reason he hasnt walked out is this, he wouldnt get another bloody job!!

Can barely understand a word of that but reading between the lines, the criticism Kean gets is harsh. Ince was appalling, Kean did very badly but then got the team together, produced results whilst under extreme pressure and kept us up. I dont see how anyone can argue with that.

To get us into the mess we were in was undoubtedly his fault, but if he is as bad a manager as so many people believe then he wouldn't have kept us up. In my opinion he gets as much credit for getting us out of the relegation scrap as he does criticism for getting us into it in the first place. That is why the next 2/3 months will ultimately prove whether Kean can cope at this level.

Playing being the operative word, Mighty Myles has 2 minutes of pitch time in his whole professional career and magically in those 2 minutes showed enough to be labelled the next Chris Smalling and a premier league contract.

We either have the best scouting system in the world or they are being ignored and transfers are being influenced by guess who?

Daddy.

Not_This_Shit_Again.gif

We signed him...get over it, nothing we can do about it now.

And to be fair about Kean; if it wasn't for an awful penalty decision for Blackpool and an obvious push in the back of JJ in the build up to Birmingham's equaliser (not to mention the potential offside), it wouldn't have gone down to the last day and people may (possibly) change their tune just a little.

Providing the striker is of decent quality I'd be very happy with those incomings and would be genuinely excited regarding the season ahead.

For me, the signing of Vieirinha would be the most exciting since Bellamy.

Do you think Kean wanted to be there?? Perhaps it was the owners who demanded the players travel to Pune. Do you know otherwise???? I can't blame Kean for that because I don't know whether he organised that trip or not, and I doubt whether you know that either. If the owners told him to be there then he had very little choice.

With the level of interference from Venky's I dont think we'd be able to attract a single respectable manager. As I previously stated, I wouldnt have blamed Kean for walking away a few weeks ago under the circumstances.

And as I said, his reputation in the game I KNOW he would really struggle to get another job!!

As for the owners insisting he went to Pune, a good manager would say NO, I am manager of Blackburn Rovers, in case you havent noticed, we are a football club and this is the most crucial part of the season, my job is to do the best for this football club and in Pune I am not, I need the players for pre season training. If he had done that he would have commanded some respect!

To be fair to the guy.

Football Style - his style of football is totally different to sam's lump it up and snatch something tactics. Was he the one who sacked Allardyce? No. Teams take time to adjust to a different style of play, so granted it wasn't the best idea to start his style of play straight away, but he pulled us out of the mess.

Playerwise - He has brought junior and some of the other young players along amazingly well, and has brought in, from what i've seen so far, some good young talent in rochina and formica and didn't just lump them in before he deemed them to be ready.

Money - He may very well have been told he had a substantial budget. Because the owners took it away or haven't let him spend it yet isn't really his fault.

Puppet - Having a go at the owners publicly wouldn't do him any good in anyway. He could get the sack. Team becomes less attractive to propspective transfers. Removes any sort of trust between owners and club. And to be quite frank none of us truly know what is said at these meetings he ahs with the owners. And I do believe he was in India to get funds and get the owners to come over to show support for the transfers being made?

So what excuse do we have for (at the time) our only striker, Pedersen, Nelsen etc riding in flash boys cars instead of getting ready to hit the ground running with the season commencing in a weeks time?

So, back to the transfer thread, we are now told, £3,000,000 to £6,000,000 for a striker tops, we need another midfielder and a defender to cover for the loss of Jones, how much have we left to spend?

Any idea Kamy?

Even more importantly, whhich striker could we get for £6,000,000 nowadays and would he be good enough?
