I think he meant the guy has played in one of the top 2 leagues in Europe (outside of England) not that he has played in 2 top leagues.

The guy who gave the Rondon link is the guy who said that, so why would he give false information?

Aah, I see. Well as someone said (given the apparent budget) lets be realistic.

It is most likely to be Valdez. Would cost about 4 m.

He has played in Germany and Spain, so fits to what we have been told.

If I was to have a guess I would say Pablo Daniel Osvaldo but that is more a logical guess than anything.

We just have to dream about him signing for us. would be amazing signing but he won't be coming to rovers.

It seems my earlier info on Rondon possibly moving to Blackburn was incorrect, the fee will be £18mil not £15mil, with add ons.

It is most likely to be Valdez. Would cost about 4 m.

He has played in Germany and Spain, so fits to what we have been told.

We just have to dream about him signing for us. would be amazing signing but he won't be coming to rovers.

its a young player and someone that will excite the fans dont think valdez comes into that category

In the last 12 hours there HAS been significant progress on the stiker front, No point asking me who it is cos I have been warned and its my final warning to keep one's mouth shut,

He is a really good player and will be a massive improvement on what we have, He will also be our big signing of the summer in terms of the impact he will have on the team.

As I have said elsewhere if people are not pleased with this one, then nothing will please them.

The player has indicated he is keen to join Rovers, so that is half the battle won, Not known Rovers to do too much over the weekend in the past so i expect Talks to take place early next week,

Quite interesting that Goodwillie got number 25, and with Niko's imminent departure that will leave a very special shirt available for that player.

I wasn't going to post this on here as Kammy ect like to bring you the news, but i couldnt Dm him on twitter so thought i'd just post it, Enjoy ur weekend guys, Back to family time for me

Is this a player who's decent considering that we're paying a low price or is he genuinely a seriously decent player who we're spending real money on??

Either way, positive news at least.

Kamy time you posted and brought some sense and reality to this topic.

I have taken a vow of silence, won't post anything until we have a bid accepted for the player which at the moment we have not, we are not talking about a £15 million player from what I know.

Possibly, but hard to say because from what I am told no fee has been agreed.

As soon as I have it confirmed that a fee has been agreed then I will post a news story on the front page, but at the moment no fee has been agreed and from what my source at the club tells me the signing is not imminent, of course that can change quickly if a fee is agreed.

wont be very good, nicko said we are only looking to spend a piddly £3-4 million on a striker, raul talks arent going very well. Funny isnt it? we are willing so splash out 4 million on left wing, an area we arent too bad in and yet we are probably going to spend 3.5 mil on one area we are desperate on, go figure. We might get a league 2 player in then, shame venkys and kean have no brain.

Aren't there two transfer budgets? The Rover budget, which only has a few million left in it, and the Balaji budget which has at least 40 million in it, if Balaji gets excited about a "marquee" player (which isn't causing me to hold my breath). If so, maybe Balaji is putting the money up?

A top striker and a solid defender (two, if Samba goes) is what we really need at this point. I really hope we get both (or all three).

And as wild guesses, which have no factual basis whatsoever than my [imaginary] psychic powers, the "top" striker I think we're going for is either Ola Toivonen (of PSV) or Fernando Llorente (of Athletic Bilboa).

ROVERS Kalinic deal not sealed. But closer. Once that happens a serious striker chase can start. Only expect a 3 to 4 m striker arrival.

From before.

i havent trusted a word coming out his mouth for a long time to be honest, he only ever reports negative stuff on rovers now, i dont waste me cash on the mirror anymore shocking newspaper
