Exiled_Rover Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 That West Ham side was relegated.... We've seen where bad management takes you. They had one of the worst. Man for man we're not much better.

Speedie Dived Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 We've seen where bad management takes you. They had one of the worst. Man for man we're not much better. I would only take Parker from that side. The rest are awful. We have a better goalie, better centre halves and better attacking options (Hoilett not Roberts)
Iceman Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 We've seen where bad management takes you. They had one of the worst. Man for man we're not much better. Our management ain't the greatest, but if you say man for man we are not better, then as a squad or group of players, we are better. Our players stood up to the challenge as a team, while players such as Parker and C Cole were not able to pull their team to safety. never under estimate the power of togetherness, no matter what people might have said otherwise.
Billy Castell Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I wonder if the ITK crew can tell us how far negotiations are, whether he'll be in for the Wolves game etc. It won't be Benzema, or anyone that fancy surely.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I would only take Parker from that side. The rest are awful. We have a better goalie, better centre halves and better attacking options (Hoilett not Roberts) I'd take Parker, Nolan and Cole straight away. Oh and Taylor is much better than Pedersen too.
Speedie Dived Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I'd take Parker, Nolan and Cole straight away. Oh and Taylor is much better than Pedersen too. Nolan is a tap in merchant, his contribution to general play is minimal. Taylor is ok, but v similar to MGP. But these players were signed this summer, so you cannot compare them. Think Cole is overly rated, head drops and is lazy. Not a natural finisher either.

They're playing for West Ham aren't they? Nolan puts in a shift in midfield. He's a poor man's Lampard in my opinion - works hard and bags his fair share of goals. Taylor's final ball is much, much better than Pedersen's. His set pieces are far better. Cole is overrated, but we have Jason Roberts upfront. Jason. Roberts. Cole is bigger, faster, more skillful and has a better footballing brain.
Amo Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I'd take Parker, Nolan and Cole straight away. Oh and Taylor is much better than Pedersen too. Not from last season's stats, he's not: Matt Taylor Apps - 36 Goals - 2 Assists - 3 Pedersen Apps - 35 Goals - 4 Assists - 6 You're making me defend Pedersen. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Because we were talking about the West Ham side that was relegated. Ok take your point on Taylor, but Olsen is a better left winger than MGP and Taylor. Cole is better than Roberts, but on a par with RSC for me (the poor one in the second stint, not the class one we had first time round). If Robinson, Samba, Olson and Hoilet played for West Ham they would have stayed up, irrelevant who was manager.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Well both Pedersen and Roberts are looking like being replaced (The unknown striker and Veirinha) so besides those two I'd say that our first 11 is far far better than West Ham. A West Ham side which is currently being outplayed by Cardiff may I add. If you saw West Ham's current line up in the premier league, you'd laugh.
beastlove Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 didn't expect anything different from you, your starting to become a bit predictable now, but I agree with everyone, if you think Benzema you all need to wake up from your dream, José Salomón Rondón seams the more likeable option with his age and they way venkys seam to be going down that route with all there signings, it might even be a name none of has even mentioned , I rather not know if it means it gives us more of a chance of seeing him in a rovers shirt, lets just sit back and enjoy the ride ,but if we go into the season with the squad we have no matter what people think I will be still be there come 3pm on Saturday cheering on the boys to hopefully victory, COYB I heard a rumour on José Salomón Rondón at the start of the window but thought it was the usual ######. He would be a good signing but not a big name. What about the lad from Palmero? Hernandez?

SAS Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Commentator was questioning the destination of west hand two England internationals green and Parker. Can't see any team wanting green in the prem..

chocky Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Not after howlers like that, no. Lol, great start for the chosen one.
daveoftherovers Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Lol, great start for the chosen one. Hmmm... Jellied Eels don't taste too good tonight do they? Beaten at home by a very ordinary Cardiff side. Poor game also Thought the "Prem" players didn't at all look they were... p.s. Who does everyone think we will get in on loan? I have a feeling we will see both RSC and JJ back... How would everyone feel about that? Also, Bentley being linked again this morning (Loan or sign)
dubdubdub Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Get in kenny miller. Aye.. much better side than us.
LeChuck Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Aye.. much better side than us. Don't think anyone said anything of the sort.
BuckyRover Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Don't think anyone said anything of the sort. They definitely did
chocky Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Don't think anyone said anything of the sort. Read some of the posts on the page before..
Scott18 Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Somebody said they would definitely give us a run for our money, nobody said they were better than us.
Balwer Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 West Ham's midfield is strong, but their defence is weak, goalie is inconsistent and their strikers can't finish. Did love The Big Sam's comments on Twitter straight after the game. Whoever does that is hilarious. Meanwhile De Gea doesn't look fit to lace Edwin's boots.
LeChuck Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Somebody said they would definitely give us a run for our money, nobody said they were better than us. Exactly. 'A run for our money' does not mean 'better than us'.
BuckyRover Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Somebody on the other thread said this West Ham team would finish ahead of us and Bolton
