Gav Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Didn't someone else on here reveal that we had agreed a fee for Onouha a while ago? (Can't for the life of me remember who?) and it was shot down by somebody who knows his dad or something?! Anyway, i don't think we'll get him but i think he's a decent player who desperately needs to get away from City to fulfill his potential. Zac spoke to Onouha, and he told him that no bid had been made from Rovers that city had made him aware of, but Bolton had an interest. Thats a while ago now though.

Kamy100 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Talked to Rovers they deny Onuhua and Gibson links. Doesn't mean info is wrong but officially at the moment it is nothing doing Re Onuhua and Gibson.
Torgeir Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 has anyone else got a feeling that Rovers are going to pull a massive rabbit outta the hat before the end of the window that will make us all take note and take the owners more seriously? Yes. Before I sober up and get a grip on myself.

PAFELL Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Wow, would defo improve our team, both of them, lets hope they both get sorted, and then Petrovic, Veirinha or Bentley, and a goalscorer. I never do this, but what the hell........... Robbo Salgado Samba Onuha Givet Nzonzi Gibson Petrovic Hoilett Olson / Vierahina A.N.Other Subs: Goodwillie, JR, Peders, Rochina, Hanley, Bunn, Formica Keeping all what strikers Goodwillie, Roberts, Rochina, Formica, we have on the bench not a good idea in my opinion.
Steve Moss Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 has anyone else got a feeling that Rovers are going to pull a massive rabbit outta the hat before the end of the window that will make us all take note and take the owners more seriously? I really hope so. It would be reassuring to know that our supposedly naive and amateurish owners are actually Machiavellian geniuses. On the other hand, I'm not betting on it at this point.

You know how easily folk on here can get excited.
mark1875 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Thanks for the update, Kamy. Would it be Rovers policy not to comment until bids have been accepted? when interviewed in hong kong, steve kean said it was wrong to comment on any player we had not had bid's accepted for, he told the press once the bid had been accepted he would only then talk about individuals
Kamy100 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Thanks for the update, Kamy. Would it be Rovers policy not to comment until bids have been accepted? Most times they do deny stories until everything is agreed, but without confirmation this stays as a rumour at present.
PAFELL Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 has anyone else got a feeling that Rovers are going to pull a massive rabbit outta the hat before the end of the window that will make us all take note and take the owners more seriously? I would like to think that, but sadly no. But it was reported over the weekend that Man City would be willing to let Bellemy go out on loan again, with city paying half his wages. Nice if Rovers were interested.

BigBar Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Friend of mine lives in Yonkers NY and ran into Gibson, his mate owns the pub they drink in. This was around the time Sunderland looked a cert, said they offered to double his 40k he is currently gettin at united. Yes 80k a week.. Said he had 2 other offers on the table at the time, Everton and Newcastle...that was roughly 4 weeks ago..

He did say it was only a rumour and that he couldn't confirm it. I suggest that covers everything. Kamy heard a rumour and chose to share it.

Don't listen to him he would say that. I think its possible too. I'm 50/50.
Speedie Dived Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 has anyone else got a feeling that Rovers are going to pull a massive rabbit outta the hat before the end of the window that will make us all take note and take the owners more seriously? A massive rabbit is about the only thing we have not been linked with this summer.

Why would he travel all the way to Yonkers for a drink when he was in pre-season training with United?
dubdubdub Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 A massive rabbit is about the only thing we have not been linked with this summer. Sure someone will have mentioned fat Ronaldo at some point...
jim mk2 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 A massive rabbit is about the only thing we have not been linked with this summer. John O'Hare was a cracking centre forward .... getting on a bit now though.
BigBar Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Why would he travel all the way to Yonkers for a drink when he was in pre-season training with United? Did you see him feature in 1 pre season game for united?? He was told he wasnt required on the tour, oh and he was on his hols and happened to visit his mate...just telling you his situation 4 weeks ago, never said anything more...
Ralfinho Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 A massive rabbit is about the only thing we have not been linked with this summer. Im sure Mrs D was seen in the background of Undercover boss when it was in Anne Summers in Blackburn buying a rampant rabbit

Not trying to be a dick, just thought it odd if he was in training to head to the burbs for a drink. If he was on holiday I understand.

Cannot see , our manager signing Craig Bellamy , he should be all over it in theory . But no way , he couldn't handle Bellamy or his talent One or both would have to leave after a month !! Then again if it was Kean who left , whose bothered ??
BigBar Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Not trying to be a dick, just thought it odd if he was in training to head to the burbs for a drink. If he was on holiday I understand. Yeah odd alright, but couldnt believe the 80k a week talk, unless he was tryin to be a big lad but thats crazy wages for him, even the 40k is alot...id welcome him though, decent premier league standard imo... Bit of height is needed in attack too, big fan of Junior, Olsson, Ruben etc but we need someone who can take a hit and rough up a big 6ft 2'' centre half week in week out and JR aint the man...

He's had a full preseason...let the man have a crack at managing. Clean slate et al. Him leaving would not be a good thing unless we're bottom with no points.
