rog of the rovers Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Blackburn-news-Fixe... Nothing story. Hes not a registered agent, so what? Because each player mentioned in the dossier has their own agent. The alarming thing for me is how liberal Ince and (St.) John Williams got with Grella and Andrews' contracts.
goodwillie_style Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 why lately is nicko just trying to drag are club threw the dirt, he the only journalist reporting all this and seams to find enjoyment doing it also
Backroom Tom Posted August 8, 2011 Backroom Posted August 8, 2011 why lately is nicko just trying to drag are club threw the dirt, he the only journalist reporting all this and seams to find enjoyment doing it also To me it comes across like a scorned, bitter ex lover! Maybe he had his sources cut off to an extent with regards to incoming players.
Scott18 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 why lately is nicko just trying to drag are club threw the dirt, he the only journalist reporting all this and seams to find enjoyment doing it also It's his job to report on the goings on at Ewood whether that be good or bad. Just because it's not been positive news the past few days, doesn't mean he's enjoying reporting it.
67splitscreen Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Nothing story. Hes not a registered agent, so what? Because each player mentioned in the dossier has their own agent. The alarming thing for me is how liberal Ince and (St.) John Williams got with Grella and Andrews' contracts. Nothing story are you sure. FA regulations: These Regulations come into effect on 4 July 2009. A. GENERAL 1 A Player or Club must not at any time use the services of, or seek to use the services of, pay, or seek to pay, either directly or indirectly, an Unauthorised Agent in relation to any Agency Activity. 2 A Player or Club may retain only the services of an Authorised Agent or Exempt Solicitor in relation to any Agency Activity, or represent themselves. 3 A Player or Club must take all reasonable steps to satisfy themselves that any person carrying out or seeking to carry out any Agency Activity, whether directly or indirectly, is an Authorised Agent or Exempt Solicitor and is entitled to act under a valid Representation Contract or Exempt Solicitor Terms of Representation. Edit: I wonder who the agent was that gave his opinion. A starter for 10 J...... .......... Guessing of course.
Bob Dewhurst Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 To me it comes across like a scorned, bitter ex lover! Maybe he had his sources cut off to an extent with regards to incoming players. I'd keep your pet rabbit out of Nicko's clutches if I was you!
yeti-dog Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 why lately is nicko just trying to drag are club threw the dirt, he the only journalist reporting all this and seams to find enjoyment doing it also Well,I've always enjoyed Nicko's posts in the past but going on tonights story and a few others recently I'd suggest that it looks like his source(s) have well and truly dried up. The best analogy I can come up with for his recent 'efforts' are that he seems to be vigorously buffing up an unresponsive turd...
saxo1man30 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Well,I've always enjoyed Nicko's posts in the past but going on tonights story and a few others recently I'd suggest that it looks like his source(s) have well and truly dried up. The best analogy I can come up with for his recent 'efforts' are that he seems to be vigorously buffing up an unresponsive turd... his stories are coming across as very bitter towards the club. i wish he`d just feck off and write stories about bolton and his lover owen coyle. it`s clear his sources have been cut off anyway, so what use is he to us anymore?
A cup of beans Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Despite over 100 people on the board, it seems to have gone awfully quiet on the transfer front over the last week. I'm hoping beyond hope that it's the calm before the storm? youre right, jisty. its very quiet. i'm worried we'll leave out dealings til the last few days of the window.. hope im proved wrong and i have some good things to post.. but as it stands; at 23:30 on 8/8/11.. im hearing nothing worth posting! just being honest..
goodwillie_style Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 youre right, jisty. its very quiet. i'm worried we'll leave out dealings til the last few days of the window.. hope im proved wrong and i have some good things to post.. but as it stands; at 23:30 on 8/8/11.. im hearing nothing worth posting! just being honest.. so whos the defender kean was on about today we have bid for ?
A cup of beans Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 so whos the defender kean was on about today we have bid for ? not got a name for you.. im afraid. if that changes i'll post it rumours of onuora all summer.. my brother knows him very well, but cant see us spending the money on his transfer fee.. and i hear he's been offered fantastic deals by bolton and sunderland. bolton might be playing a dangerous waiting game.. delaying until they sell cahill, but i know for a fact his agent had discussions with bolton last month. hear he has changed agents now.
modes98 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 The alarming thing for me is how liberal Ince and (St.) John Williams got with Grella and Andrews' contracts. Grella was a highly rated player, £30k isn't that bad a wage to get him on to be honest, it is easy to look back at his injuries and say that he doesn't justify it but JW didn't get that chance. Andrews was signed at a much lower wage but promised a certain wage increase upon playing a certain amount of games. He met that and earned his contract increase. It stands to logic that if he plays more he would earn more. If there's a mistake anywhere it was employing Paul Ince. Good to see a transfer related story from Nicko. I don't think advertising players wages counts as agent related activity. I would think the regulations apply to being involved in an actual transfer.
goodwillie_style Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 not got a name for you.. im afraid. if that changes i'll post it and do you know the mystery striker that glen commented on over the weekend and the gibson rumours ?
A cup of beans Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 and do you know the mystery striker that glen commented on over the weekend and the gibson rumours ? the mystery striker.. (if you mean the big marquee signing...) no. what happened to kamy's new number one target ?? was he ever named ? i didnt really believe there was one.. better than milito etc... ???? only strikers ive heard about are the whispers of matavz and david ngog raul is still a goer.. from what i hear... cant believe how long that's taking.
scov Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I read much more than I post here and have been distressed and depressed by the goings on over the last 9 months and more at Rovers. Reading the varied opinions of posters here is mostly enjoyable - the good, the bad, the mad, the semi-literate, the well informed, the think-they-are-well-informed, the outright fantasists, the bullshitters, the rabble rousers ....... ultimately the great majority care about Rovers and, whilst I don't necessarily agree with what some say, I respect their passion and applaud the fact that they can freely express their views. I've been tempted many times to vent my incredulity and disappointment at the lunacy that seems to be engulfing Ewood, but have chosen not to. I want to keep my counsel and see what the outcome is at the end of September. But this latest torrent of venal effluent from Mr Nixon is a step too far. I used to respect his opinions and look forward to his seemingly well informed posts, but now it looks like it's personal. A crusade of this nature against Rovers is surely going to destroy what small amount of credibility he has left on this message board. Who ever mentioned the 'Bunny-boiler' syndrome in an earlier post may well be spot on.
goodwillie_style Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 the mystery striker.. rovgers Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 It's his job to report on the goings on at Ewood whether that be good or bad. Just because it's not been positive news the past few days, doesn't mean he's enjoying reporting it. Of course it's his job and I can honestly say that Nicko's post was one of the main reasons why I started coming on this site but his recent articles have quite a few sarcastic comments in them.
A cup of beans Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 and what about gibson on loan is that going to happen ? nobody has confirmed the gibson story to me. i would be surprised if he signed. not to mention massively underwhelmed!
cruz Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 On Kamy100's latest striker rumour Well fancy that. A new weeks starts with yet another no-name mystery striker being tenuously linked with Rovers. What are the odds on his name not being revealed, the trail going cold and YET ANOTHER no-name mystery striker being revealed next week? Well fancy that. It's all gone quiet
roverandout Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 hardly a surprise, get the feeling we going to start the season with jason, flippin, roberts up front
Kamy100 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Well fancy that. It's all gone quiet What's your problem? I've noticed you sniping at my posts, if you have a problem use the ignore facility. I did not say anything about a mystery striker. I was responding to what Glenn had put and saying that there was NOTHING imminent re a striker as no fee had been agreed. If bothered to read back, I posted on Friday that as far as I know Raul and Milito deals were not going to happen and that I believed that £3-£6 million would be spent on a striker.
