Is no-one else fearful of the Hoilett contract situation? I've been calm about it for too long and it's wearing off on me now. Starting to get very worried, something is not right else it would have been sorted months ago. I think the fans who have renewed (such as me) deserve to know if this lad is going to be here next season.

Olsson put on his twitter last week that hoilett will sign. So im going with that. Im guessing its the buy out clause maybe thats holding it up? Or he is waiting to see what happens regarding transfers this summer before he signs. But like i said. I think he will sign off what olsson said

on facebook Patrick Coleman has said this:-

on the news here in ireland robbie keane will sign for blackburn rovers by the end of the week hes been talking on tv3 news

he's a good player, imagine wages are horrific though, would'nt grumble signing keane but hardly the exciting new striker we've been built up to expect

We should stay away from Keane in my veiw, at 31 he has one, maybe two good years left in him at this demanding level. Fee and Wages would be important, anything over 3 mill would be a no-go and he would have to lower his wages to join us. No doubting he is a good player and his record speaks for itself he is a goal scorer, but i just feel he isn't the type of striker we should be looking for. I'd much rather a bigger striker who can provide a focal point to our attacks.

At this rate i'd take Santa Cruz on a permanent if we cant get another striker on board in another week or two.

I'm thinking this will; be benjani's replacement as he doesn't look like he coming, we are 4 strikers short of last season, we have brought one in ,keane hopefully the second and then the mystery striker

I'd sooner we sign no one than sign him again. Just shows the differing opinion on the board eh.

I watched the keane speaking about his future on rte...pretty sure he didnt mention us specifically, all he was doing was talking about how he hopes to sort something in the next week or so and avoid dropping to play in the championship so i wouldnt read too much into that facebook comment chaps..

Keane..but i think i think we should be looking at a more complete striker.

keane wont be the main striker but we need squad players were running thin, with just goodwillie and roberts as recognised strikers we have 4 less strikers from last season but we cant go out and spend 6 million on them all we have to try and get a few bargains, keane would fill the void left by benjani and in my eyes is a better player to have come of the bench than benjani so I would accept that as an improvement on last season

Pedersen is right footed, plus right footers play on the left these days because they can cut inside.

It was rochina who roberts was to have said "He's got a left wand".But yes wingers often do play on there weaker side these days to cut inside and shoot.
