I think that is the reason we got our extra 4 million from the sale of Phil ! i think we as fans should let it be now, we did well out of the deal, and Phil needs a lesson in media communciation from the Red Devils it would seem - very silly to come out with that after all the fall out and the dust had settled !

Dwinddling by the minute Den - i have gone from being very Pro-Venkys to sitting on the fence, to now being scared as hell for the start of the season and the thought of watching Rovers struggle every home game with a depleted squad - my only hope, is that they get some players in, and then sort out the ###### in the background

Just copied this from an interview with Phil Jones on Sky website - is this not tapping up of the very highest order???

Honestly I am NOT having a go at you Dan, but there is something (highlighted) in that quote that just does not ring true with me. SAF makes fairly regular visits to Dunfermline Athletic FC where he started his career and played for them for some time. I have actually met him there myself on one of his visits and he is always treated as just "one of the lads". There is absolutely no kow-towing or veneration of ANY kind and everyone (self included) just refers to him as Alex. I really get the feeling that he would never refer to himself as "Sir Alex" in the context of the quote you refer to.

You seem suprised lads... Id say that how fergir does all his dealings, he knows the respect he has in the game and will fully use it...mystery of the "how did they know about the 16m clause" revealed!!

Hi Fife, this was literally copied and pasted directly from Sky Sports so either Jones is mistaken or Sky have used a little artistic licence or maybe SAF thought it would impress a 19 year old from little old Blackburn. Who knows??

Maybe that is a bit too old, but if they want a younger player of quality going to cost them.

Kean may be a poor manager, but I dont see what he's done wrong over the past month or two. In fact I'm surprised he hasn't walked away with all the nonsense that is going on around the club. If he does go I doubt anyone remotely credible would want to work here.

Season starts in a little over two weeks. Big Chris Samba up top for a few games anyone??

Sick of the pro venky's posters saying time to judge is end of augast,it's an absolute disgrace the way the clubs been run and the fact Kean has to keep running to pune for meetings to i presume beg for funds,if there is NO MONEY the fans should be told,we have missed out on some really good players because of venky's indecisiveness and i'm sick of it,Honda linked just before the asia cup smacks of yet another pr stunt.

The goon cant believe his luck! manager of a premier league club with zero experience, be like you or me gettin the gig, would you walk?? they say jump and he says how high? complete waste of space and an all round joke! I see Kean as a problem in the fact I think he is a bit of a nobody and its very difficult to play for someone with no high level achievements as a player, assistant manager or manager.

SO I don't think Kean will leave purely for the fact I bet his pay has at the very least doubled.

Anyway like he said by the end of the window we will know what was re-invested.

To judge now is like asking someone to sit a 3 hour exam and then after 1 hour saying, I'm gonig to mark it.

Argh....worst thing is we can't do anything about it!

One pretty obvous reason why they won't come over here.. If you have just upset a large percentage of a small town (and your about to upset them just a little bit more), would you pop on over for a visit?

I don't expect to see much of them next season.. but still surely we have a computer that can manage a video conference or conference facilities.

Couple of weeks to go and no movement on the transfer front, manager away again and the biggest action atm seems to be us trying to sell players we don't want at inflated prices.

The fans have been told through Kean there is money only 72 hours ago, but you choose to ignore it.

If you are expecting them to come out and say the exact budget then thats follish.

Or if you want them to tell you that same thing every day thats foolish.

The fact is any information they give is turned on them.

And I'm not pro Venkys, come August 31st I will hate them to death if we have no one decent in.

and I'll judge Kean on his first 10 games, because to be honest, I think he might flop, I'm 50/50 on that.
