Chicken farming owners, under siege to sell Samba, unlikely dream of Wellbeck.

Compare it to the Guardian article. Journalism V Hacking.

If you don't understand the difference it says a lot about you.

None of the above is untrue and is written in a different style from the Guardian from the Mirror as you would expect from a tabloid against a broadsheet but is not a "dig" or a "sneer".

The Guardian in fact had an extra "dig" at Rovers by pointing out that Ferguson may not wish to do business with Venky's because the owners sacked his ftriend Sam.

Now try again. Where are the "digs" and "sneers" ?

Not getting into pantomime argument, no doubt your intent.

The highlight is reasoned speculation, not a dig.

It's noticeable the number of sportswriters in the national papers predicting Rovers not only to be relegated this season but actually to finish bottom of the league in 20th place. Last year I doubt if one writer had us to go down. Shows how much the club's stock has fallen over the past year and their view of the abilities of the manager.

How good will it be to prove all those knobs wrong though? I know this site has more than it's fair share naysayers but we'll prove the so called "experts" of the media who clearly have their own agenda/vendetta against Rovers and the negative ones around here wrong.

You cannot get into an argument because you don't have one mainly because you do not understand basic English.

You are also one of group of fans who cannot accept any criticism of Rovers. Time to grow up

Ever heard of punctuation?

Thought not.

No I'm not, I am critical where I feel it justified.

Feel free to throw out insults from behind the protection of a forum.

Do they have an "agenda" or do they merely reflect the general perception of the club among football fans around the country since Venky's took over ? Of course it would be great to prove them wrong but it's hardly surprising that we are seen as relegation candidates in view of our inexperienced manager and weaker squad than the one that finished last season.

I'll be critical of other people's opinions where I feel it is justified. Your criticism of the Mirror article was wrong.

So no transfer rumours, just the usual bitching and name calling. This site is becoming completely unreadable and unbearable.

I'd like Wellbeck here anyway. Not sure about Gibson, not seen much of him.

To be honest I don't think there have been any legit transfer rumours for 3 or 4 days.

I've always disliked Kean so really giving him this window to convert me.

But still I think we will beat Wolves and then he has another week to keep good to his word.

If we sell Samba and don't sign any players I'd be slightly worried that this was a case of asset stripping.

But anyway I gave them the window and still a chance of last day/week deals.

I happy to wait to get the right players at the right price but we have a manager I don't trust who is a little deluded.

It's odd.

Suddenly I feel a lot warmer in regards to our owners.

They have spent a tiny amount of the money brought in but we are sponsored by a charity.

We are still managed by an inexperienced manager with a terrible record but we have renamed a stand after a player.

Maybe i'm just happy because Kean kept us up last season, despite getting us there in the first place.

Perhaps my positive attitude is based on the fact that anything negative these days, instantly gets a -70 rating...

Anyway, the truth is...we were starting to look better towards the end of last season. Long may it continue. I've decided that it is pointless complaining about anything anymore because there is nothing I can do to change a thing and people just get mad to stop themselves becoming concerned. So what's the point? We are Rovers fans and those of us that have been around for a while know that supporting this club is a rollercoaster ride without a safety harness.

I think we are going to get some players in before deadline, I'm confident of that.

But for now, let's just start with playing Wolves off the pitch again...

Tomorrow will be the first time in a long time that I have not been at Ewood Park. I'll be sat here at 10am watching though. To those at Ewood tomorrow, I'll envy every one of you.

With all the rubbish posted on this site lately its refreshing to see someone post anything positive. Its time to forget all the negative and start supporting whoever is in the beautiful blue and white.

One man's reasoned speculation is another man's dig. Basically both articles point out that we are looking to loan players. The implication is that we don't have the money to buy so we are using the loan system and both articles would appear to be correct from that viewpoint.

I find it hugely funny that Nicko has gone from the font of all knowledge and never to be challenged to arch enemy number one because he's stopped posting on this site. Clearly, many fans only want to read what feeds their dreams - biggest transfer pot ever - and aren't so keen to read about the realities.

Personally, I'm much happier knowing that we have set our sights lower with the aim of a top ten finish and are not talking about spending silly money but looking at loans, free transfers and bargain signings. It suggests that the owners have finally realised that they don't have the finances to challenge the top six and are now cutting their cloth accordingly. I see nothing wrong with that. It was the strategy that the Trust used to ensure a decade of Premier League football and suggests that Venkys are not going to plunge the club into debt.

McCheeseburger HAS been negative and bitter towards rovers recently. Funnily enough, it's been since he had his chips peed on after he messed up several rovers stories. He stopped posting on here after members stopped treating him like some demi god. I notice he's on twitter now getting his ego massaged off fans from all over the country. Sad tw@t.

not sure if Wellbeck is what we need right now imo , yes he's a very talented player , but with Blackman Rochina Formica and Goodwillie all untried at this level the only experience we have up front is Jason Roberts :o

Im pretty sure wellbeck is experienced enough at this level. Hes got an england cap as well. Been out on loan a few times as well for the past few seasons. He has enough experience

Totally agree, getting Wellbeck still gives us an inexperienced look.

Never thought much of Gibson, not good enough for UTD but he could be good enough for us.

Sad to say but true.

It is funny. He has gone from having knowledge to seemingly having none.

If Venky's had come in and ruined part of your income stream wouldn't you be bitter?

He could come out tomorrow and say we are going to spend £50m again and I wouldn't believe him. It's not what he is saying but his veracity that's the issue
