Looks like the exodus may be slowing down: linky

I like the bit where it says;

"We've been talking to Gavin but we really need some feedback from Blackburn as it seems to have gone a bit quiet," said Well number two Kenny Black.

I guess we've noticed that too.

we should give gunning a chance! he's got real ability! can play LB or CB. NO BRAINER FOR ME!

As a doom-sayer with a pro-Sam, anti-Venkys agenda, could someone less hysterical than me tell me when it is time to panic?

the time is getting closer to the start of the season and the potential 6 pointer with Wolves even the pro-venkys posters and optimists are now having doubts.. :rover:

Well you got your wish 47er and venkys took over the club, hasn't worked out as you imagined though has it ;)

By the way, the time to panic is surely when the transfer window closes, we're now at the worry stage.

Still got 40 days to sign some players. I'm not sure I believe a full preseason is that important at first, but guess it's completely down to the player.

No need to start the hysterical "we are going down" crap. I'm a positivist so it comes naturally to me to believe that even without any new signings, we could have a great season. Jason Lowe, nick Blackman, junior, zac aley, olsson, hanley, Josh Morris, rochina, Formica etc etc

These could all have an impact this season. We still have more quality in our squad than the promoted teams and with some luck this squad could be top 10 without signings

Call me delusional if you want. I'm still gonna be sat in my seat cheering on next season regardless of what the puppet show in executive clothing is telling me.

See - even as a positivist I never believed we would spend a fortune this summer..no matter what the PR machine was telling us. Common sense dictates a team with our financial capabilities will never spend more than 5m on a player again because of wages.

Unless it's straight out the owners pocket... Not

Likely.

Being pro-rovers is the only reason to panic. Can't imagine people going to Ewood just to blow kisses at Sam and groan about Venkys ;)

I think you mean you're an 'optimist', a 'positivist' would actually be feeling pretty glum by now.

A positivist believes the scientific method is the best way to conclude physical and human actions and the science right now points to us having incompetent owners, no money, no pulling power even if we did have the cash and a due for a major struggle next season.

Absolutely amazing beyond all comprehension.

I think people forget that a football club is a real life business, not just an untouchable entity that can not be affected by anything in the real world.

In February, I was lucky enough to accompany a group of Year 10 students to Ewood Park. Whilst there, they learned all about how the club works as a business. They said that 95% of the clubs income in based around being in the Premier League.

With this in mind, do you really think that with our current owners not wanting to spend any cash that taking away 95% of the club's income would be beneficial in any long or short term way?

Anyway, I've bought a decent amount of stuff at the club shop today so maybe they'll free that cash up for transfers....

Exactly right Brian.

There is a lot of information being falsely leaked that people are still believing to be true.

I don't think we are actively looking for anyone at the moment. Not a good situation.

Weren't you the one saying Venkys were selling and the takeover would have happened by now?

I'm pretty sure that the majority had lost interest and I don't know what's going on now to be totally honest. I am past trying to keep up or understand it.

As things stand right now, this coming season will probably be like the end of last season. We may not be relegated, but it'll be very very close. Unless the younger players turn out as well as Phil Jones did, then we're screwed with the current squad. The Raos had either put money in or sell up, because if they had some sort of long term plan about promoting the Venky's brand through a successful team, they're going about it in an odd way indeed.

especially during this transfer window, we have heard it all to often from venkys/kean/ jason roberts on twitter....that we should trust the owners, be patient etc etc. the reality however, is that they given us (Please don't use that word again) all. all the possible transfers that have come and gone and not been closed out....we're being told to be patient. the pablo piatti thing was a (Please don't use that word again) up and a disgrace of the highest order. then there is the "hitch" with other players like mongongu and pavone.

for me, i will start to believe when they start to deliver, and i don't mean spending 3 and half million quid on a lad who aint gonna play for 8 months.

It's called having an opinion. I think you're in complete denial, but you're free to have that view to your hearts content.

Kean may be a poor manager, but I dont see what he's done wrong over the past month or two. In fact I'm surprised he hasn't walked away with all the nonsense that is going on around the club.

Where would he go to?
