roverandout Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 he6rt, r u taking the p*ss? we dont need any strikers after obviouslty being woeful up front? did u watch the game today? what possible explanation could u have of us not needing any striker? unless your taking the mickey for real which i hope your are sorry eddie, formica scores one goal and you think hes our answer to lack of goals? hes not even a striker, roberts is sh*t, goodwillie displayed some nice touches but had one blocked shot, of course we need a striker, it was even more obvious after todays game than ever before, we played rubbish but when you have a class striker, they can paper over cracks, we had noone up front who even came close.

Billy Castell Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Goodwillie may become pretty good, but we need another striker fur shhhure (as Shteve McClaren would say).
daverich Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I just wish Audrey Roberts would just jump for the odd header or two, instead of doin his best impression of John cena! surely we must be able to find a better striker out there-even for 2 or 3 million.
Emge Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Oh. My. I dont even know what to say. After a miserable day like this, and now Samba off to Arsenal? Dunno if I shall laugh or cry........!!! Buckle up Myles Anderson, you are our new star in defence. Wohooo!!
BRFC1995 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 a. 12m is theft if true, seriously lescott 24m, i want to cry but i have a lot of time for big chris and would wish him the best at arsenal class footballers deserve better than kean and venkys. b. most blatent piece of asset stripping ever seen if true. c. venkys on a par with ashley for sucking the life out of a club d. game over man, game fooking over if true
daverich Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I don't believe even venkys would be so stupid as to sell samba for £12m, especially given the current state off affairs in the CB position
Emge Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I don't believe even venkys would be so stupid as to sell samba for £12m, especially given the current state off affairs in the CB position Lets hope you're right! If we sold Santa Cruz for 18 mill pounds, then I dont think it would be unfair to claim at least the same amount for Samba, as he is better than Santa Cruz IMO (I know you cant compare a striker with a defender, but hey I just did! )
True Blue & White Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Let's hope the Samba thing is bollards, I don't expect any of it to be re-invested, we haven't even spent the Kalinic dough yet let alone seen any of the Phil Jones money and I'm still waiting for this record breaking signing Kean promised us at the start of the summer. If we sell Big Chris to Le Arse for £12m the bookies might as well pay out on our relegation now. Forget strikers, midfielders, defenders we need one new owner and one new manager first!
Backroom Tom Posted August 13, 2011 Backroom Posted August 13, 2011 I just wish Audrey Roberts would just jump for the odd header or two, instead of doin his best impression of John cena! surely we must be able to find a better striker out there-even for 2 or 3 million. He sells far better than Cena. But I thought Roberts did pretty well today at least for 45 minutes, no other striker we've had in years would have created the goal today
daverich Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 We simply need to tell samba that it isn't possible for us to sell him and he HAS to stay, he's worth £20 of any ones money, but take in the r factor being worth £40m or whatever it is nowadays and the chance of total oblivion should that happen, IMO you can't put a price on his head, he is literally priceless!
roverandout Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 your right tom, he holds the ball up, makes a nuisance of himself and works hard but theres no goals in him whatsoever, we NEED a flaming goalscorer badly and its time the venkys pulled out all stops to buy one and they cost money but money should be no object otherwise we are going down.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 If we sell Samba at this stage in the transfer window we're slitting our own throats. It's as simple as that.
roverandout Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 thats why theres no way i can see him going, if he does, we are as good as relegated.

No he doesn't. He was absolutely monstered by the two Wolves centre halves today. He's a useless lump. He's a 6 foot odd brick ###### that can't jump or track a bag of cement. Should have got rid years ago.
roverandout Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 fooks sake, i post something positive for once and i get jumped on for it, cant win, your right though he is useless at alot of things but he does make a nuicance of himself.

Yes he makes a nuisance of himself, and every now and again he will use his strength to create a good chance like he did today for formica's goal, but apart from that he is a total liability
rovgers Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 It says in the Sunday Mirror that Arsenal are after Cahill from Bolton, hope this means they prefer him to Samba! Aresnal target Cahill
daverich Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I would go as far as to say I would prefer peskey to Audrey!
tony gale's mic Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 If we sell, we are selling our PL status.
roverandout Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 just wish he would shut his mouth and stop arguing with the referee.
jny Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 It says in the Sunday Mirror that Arsenal are after Cahill from Bolton, hope this means they prefer him to Samba! Aresnal target Cahill Then again you've got the problem of Spurs even if we do dodge that bullet, and no doubt 'Arry will somehow worm Samba into their team. Knowing Spurs, what we'll get is a bum deal of mediocre players or a meagre amount of cash from their self-righteous set up. However, if we keep Samba and manage to get a proven striker and more cover in defence then I'm optimistic about the coming season, it all really rests on this transfer and how much investment (if at all) there is in the team.
Hughesy Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Kean has told us he is the one who decides if a price is right or too much, therefore IF we have accepted, he must have told them too. £12m is pathetic and one which Il be very annoyed with if true.

Really can't see it myself, plus hertha Berlin will be due a % from their sell on clause, whatever that may be, we might only end up getting £10m ish out of £12m, that really would be crazy.
