P_Rover Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 This is the exact reason why I haven't really been active on here, VB and Twitter. So many people claiming the same BS "I know who we are after and it's exciting, but I am not going to tell you who they are, instead I will choose to string you along and pretend I knew who our targets were all along, as and when we sign them" it's utter ###### and posts like this are pointless. What use are they, really? They reveal no information at all, we have been told by Kean that we have active bids, and a million people have already said we will break our transfer record if one of them comes off, so please, stop posting speculative posts unless you are going to provide info different to the othe 1000 people "in the know" on here and Twitter. Spot on. I have a friend of a friend of etc..... My source is reliable etc etc. What a load of rubbish. How many times have people claimed to be in the know and then nothing's come of it. Nothing's come of it because the muppets running the club have no clue, no money and no ambition.

JW11 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I have some inside info from training ground about two signings that are close. I have been told that they will be spending £13m on two players and one transfer will break our record. I am not going to tell the names yet as they are not 100% signed but when i am sure that they are coming i will name them. My source wont allow me to name anybody yet but they may have been mentioned on here before. If these two players came i think we would be looking at a top 10 finish. I know someone who is mates with Ewoodnews and have been told that the above post is nothing less than total BS. Bored in his summer off from Uni he thought it would be funny to make a story and post it on here as the truth in order to create some excitement. sorry if people believed any of it
alexanders Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I agree. Torres would allow givet to be backup CB and in the long run he could replace salgado at RB. Olsson could then also play LM. Would solve some of our problems.
Dariomarcolin Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Leicester linked with Beckford, would anyone have him as a squad striker? Decent pace, good in the air. I think he'd be a good option
tchocky Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Alright, putting the glass-half-full hat on for a second - lets say we manage to sign M.Torres and Rodallega. Even then we'd still need a couple more at least, and with premier league experience. Make it so, owners!
roversfanben Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Leicester linked with Beckford, would anyone have him as a squad striker? Decent pace, good in the air. I think he'd be a good option No, Nay, Never. I would rather pick up an average player on a free, like McFadden.
chris Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Do you got any references? Have you been right on any names and inside info earlier? Does he have hair? Does he wear glasses? Does he have a beard? Is it Richard?
Torgeir Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Leicester linked with Beckford, would anyone have him as a squad striker? Decent pace, good in the air. I think he'd be a good option Sure, but don't think he'd come as a squad striker. And at £3m I don't think he's worth it.
scunnyrover Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 He scored ten goals last year, more than any of our players, and you don't think hes worth 3 million?
Dariomarcolin Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Rather have yakubu than beckford Yakubu is a lazy donkey though, and we need strikers not support strikers like McFadden
alexanders Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Have we been linked to Iaquinta earlier this summer? His name is being linked to Rovers through the italian media.

So its 2 out of a possible what two or three hundred players names that have been mentioned on here before! After the summer rovers have had, I don't believe anything anymore, would love to be proved wrong.
Veevs Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Have we been linked to Iaquinta earlier this summer? His name is being linked to Rovers through the italian media. Well 4 goals in 20 games last season.. def sounds like someone we would target lol
ultrablue Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Time for bed here. I always wake with a feeling in my stomach that Rovers have done something while I was sleeping. Then I realise Rover was the name of the dog I ate the night before.

roversfanben Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_7105945,00.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter get a bid in i say, then get raul to play long side him and things look allot brighter, we can dream cant we lol you might laugh but he still better than anything else we have at the moment Or, rather than making unrealistic bids for players looking for on last pay day. Venky's need to stop being stingy ###### and bid £12m for Daniel Sturridge to test Chelsea's resolve. He won't play enough games at Chelsea, and I am sure AVB will sell him for the right price.
goodwillie_style Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/raul/blackburn-macht-angebot-19426334.bild.html Schalke superstar Raúl (34) is about to depart for England. The Premier League club Blackburn Rovers make an offer to the Spaniards. This was confirmed by Schalke manager Horst Heldt (41) compared to BILD.de Heldt: "We have yesterday (Monday the editor) an official request from Blackburn Rovers received by mail. Then we have taken with his advisor. We will meet today with Raul and his advisor and talk about it. Actually, we want to give him, but when he tells us that he wants to go, we will deal with it and enter into negotiations. There will be a timely decision in this matter and that no later than tomorrow, 13 clock. "Schalke then climbs onto the plane to Europe League play-off match in Helsinki.
A Tugay Substitution Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/raul/blackburn-macht-angebot-19426334.bild.html If true and if my German is as good as it was at o level (15 years ago) then wow! I'm not sure which of the above is more unlikely - it being true or my german being any good!
Stevo Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 If those quote's are genuine, then we might even have him in before the Villa game!
Nelsta Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 If those quotes are true no wonder our transfer dealings are taking so long if we do it by mail! Hope to god it's true!
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Can any of our 'insiders' confirm this website?
rog of the rovers Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Thats the name on the back of the shirt sorted! Still not going to let myself get carried away, but in the past, BILD has been a reliable source and the pull of the Premier League and his mate Michel, this could happen!
RibbleRover Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 From Bild.de translated to English...... Schalke superstar Raúl (34) is about to depart for England. The Premier League club Blackburn Rovers make an offer to the Spaniards. The Spaniard (contract in Gelsenkirchen in 2012) came last summer when King transfer from former coach Felix Magath, who was instantly fan favorite. In total 55 games for the Royal Blues striker scored 22 goals. WHY BLACKBURN ? Behind the Premiere League club are the Indian brothers Venkatesh (45) and Balaji Rao (38). The immensely wealthy club owners from India would present a very big names. Raúl's former real-mate Michel Salgado (since 2009 in Blackburn) is to make him palatable to the change to the island. Last year acquired the multi-millionaires 99.9 percent of the shares of Blackburn Rovers for a bargain price of only € 27 million. Now the record player of the Champions League will probably be added. The League would be poorer by a sensation.
goodwillie_style Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 the bild are the official reporters for schalke and always been spot on even with the jones issue, they have denied it to me for months when questioned them about it, this is the first time they have admitted it might happen
