he6rt6gr6m Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Give me 1 good thing steve kean has done as amanager that would make players want to join this team? Beat Liverpool and got screwed out of 3 points against Manchester United. Shhhh.

budha Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 But how can he judge wether he is interested or not? If he is on £100k wages, and we for some reason decide to offer £150k he would be interested? Like I said, he should allow ROVERS to sell our club to him, not Schalke. It's like Burnley asking YOU to have a chat with Chris Samba about a move to Burnley... They ask him "Do you want to move to Blackburn?" and he says "No"? It's not like he needs a few extra grands a week. And surely we've made our offer via the informal channels.
he6rt6gr6m Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 We just got beat at home by Wolves. WAKEY WAKEY! Time to wake up and smell the curry. Without three first team defenders, and a midfielder in defence as cover. Idiot.
RoverPedro Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Beat Liverpool and got screwed out of 3 points against Manchester United. Shhhh. Oh ill also give him the win against WBA and Wolves which we were very close to blowing. But apart from that? I bet Raul salivated when he saw them reaults
he6rt6gr6m Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 To the person who said we'd beat Schalke, the team that beat Inter Milan 5-2 in last year's Champions League Quarter Finals, I have no words. Fine with me. One "strong" Italian team used to playing dire opposition vs. Schalke, who only concentrated on European football last year. With a fully fit squad, this team would take Schalke. Just like we should have took United.
Balwer Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Without three first team defenders, and a midfielder in defence as cover. Idiot. You really think that we would beat a Champions League semi finalist? With players like Huntelaar, Raul, Metzelder, Annan, Farfan, Fuchs, Edu and Howedes? If they only beat Inter they must have been very lucky to get through the Group stages (and top their group).

I bet Raul salivated when he saw them reaults He probably didn't but at least we weren't humiliated by one of the best teams in the world under Kean, whereas Schalke were torn apart. I admire your blind optimism. Rather that than be a pessimistic old trout.
chocky Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 You really think that we would beat a Champions League semi finalist? With players like Huntelaar, Raul, Metzelder, Annan, Farfan, Fuchs, Edu and Howedes? Oh and if they only concentrated on European football they did well to come 2nd in the Bundesliga then. And if they only beat Inter they must have been very lucky to get through the Group stages (and top their group). Look at Manchester City's team, Manchester United's , Liverpool's etc. I tell you what let's just use fat Sam's tactics and not bother with them 'cos we aren't going to beat them anyway and just give them the three points. Negativity on this board is unreal.

Negativity on this board is unreal. How is contesting the idea that we would beat Schalke negative? Most would call it realistic. Besides, the team that heebergeeba is talking about, the one that drew with a United team that needed a point to win the league and were happy to play keepings off for 10 minutes, is missing two starters, the Jones x 2, so it's not really a fair comparison to use that as a reason why the current team would beat Schalke.

Rather that than be a pessimistic old trout. Im not pessimistic. I really wanted us to get him. But tbh it was never going to happen. Maybe if there is a change around the club with regards to management then i think we will really struggle. Im optimistic in the fact we wont get relegated!! But i draw the line at beating schalke.
Nelsta Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 anybody else seeing Sav and Jase Roberts on twitter, Sav's comming across as a bitter man!
Balwer Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 anybody else seeing Sav and Jase Roberts on twitter, Sav's comming across as a bitter man! anyone seems bitter compared to Jase's unending enthusiasm for all things Venkys. Perhaps he could offer to get Sav a walk-on in the next chicken commercial, that might calm Robbie down.
he6rt6gr6m Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 You really think that we would beat a Champions League semi finalist? We drew with the finalists because of a bullsh*t call from the linesman. On our day, we can take most down. We'd struggle with Barca and Madrid, but I'd back us against Schalke, most definitely.
Stuart Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 anybody else seeing Sav and Jase Roberts on twitter, Sav's comming across as a bitter man! Don't think there'll be an "Audience with..." any time soon! Fantastic banter. Jason Roberts @RobbieSavage8 Do One Sav...you had a touch like a Baby elephant and breath to match!!
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Yes I think he's lost it a bit since hanging up his boots. It's fine when he's taking the ###### out of Ferdinand but some of the stuff he's sending JR is beyond a joke. Jealous much springs to mind.

I respect your opinion and admire your enthusiasm, and perhaps I might agree with you if this were the same team that played against United, but as it stands I think we would miss the Jones boys too much. I wish our day would happen more often.
scunnyrover Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 anybody else seeing Sav and Jase Roberts on twitter, Sav's comming across as a bitter man! Nah I think its all a bit of banter really
gazsimm Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 anybody else seeing Sav and Jase Roberts on twitter, Sav's comming across as a bitter man! he's winding Jase up, but what makes me laugh is that he is talking the truth ha ha. Now that Raul looks likes he has rejected us, who's next?? I really hope we have a defender signed up before the weekend too. People suggesting the yak from everton, don't be daft we already have big jase for that role. We need a proven goalscorer not another Roberts!!!
Balwer Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 It is no different to all your continual negativity to all things Venky's... Well considering only one of myself and Mr Roberts gets paid by Venky's then I'd say it's completely different, but then since Venky's aren't really bothered by my feelings about them one bit it's kind of a moot point...

A Tugay Substitution Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 So the last two days I've read on here that Valdes is an awful keeper and that our first team would have no trouble beating Schalke (which I'm sure is a wind up) And people still think Rovers fans don't deserve Venky's and Steve Keen ??? I know its a minority and that its been said on here before but so many Rovers fans or either as miserable as sin or just plain thick But thats probably true of all footy fans world wide I guess! I for one am losing all hope, the Raul thing is just plain bizzare and after the whole Piatti and Witsel saga it all points to being a miserable transfer window and a real struggle this year to not end up being embarassed, never mind staying in the premiership! Still, as a fan i can't help but hope that eveything will magically work itself out!
Athlete Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Let's face it. It will be on transfer deadline day that we sign two previously unknowns that the usual lot on here will be doing their best to 'big up'. Don't worry though...on this board...come transfer deadline day....the time to judge Venkys will be....January. judge Vekys now...waste of Time completely
briansol Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 On a personal level we really need to buy some strikers with great FIFA(the game) attributes. Losing Santa Cruz(80) and Mame Diouf(77) will really impact my game if not replaced, when FIFA 12 comes out.
