Parker is still at West Ham, why has nobody put a bid in for the player of the season in the PL.

Doubt we will because he is not under 22 or over 34, but would be a great signing.

Just surprised he is still there.

Stoke made a bid but Parker reject it.

Parker wants to go to Spurs. Plus WHU want 8 million pounds

he would be a very good player for us. he is only 28 years old.

http://en.wikipedia....akubu_Aiyegbeni

Hmm... suspicious about this one. Three years ago he was one of the top ten strikers in the Premiership. Now he can't get a game for Everton when they are short on forwards. Why is that?

11 goals for Leicester in 20 games is great, and definately better than what we have but a few questions need to be asked...

ask David Moyes why???

I know what you are saying Joey what the only people who knows why he is not playing is Moyes and Yabuku.

We should steer well clear of Yakubu.

Agreed. I know Everton season ticket holders who think he's a joke. They had poor opinions of Beattie - but they think far less of Yakubu nowadays. He must be 40 - look at him (That's years not stone).

Looking at that photo I'm not sure he's 40 years old, but maybe nearer to 40 stone.

If we end up with the Yak as our new striker signing I'll not be best pleased.

Because he only scored 10 goals in his last 53 games for Everton?

And that's before you consider the quality of the midfield supporting him.

I would be happy with either of these strikers :

Rodallega

Iaquinta

Raul

Bendtner

Rondon

realistically the list venys have more likely reads

beckford

yakubu

becchio

beattie

hulse

even then the venkys lot would be disappointed that they'd expect paying

that 1st list is never happening, as much as we are all biased as supporters to outsiders we are about as attractive a proposition as past sunderland and wba sides, good players playing well ain't coming here

I think the majority of strikers Rovers will be looking at will divide opinion and be to a certain degree a gamble given our price range and pulling power.

We've a history of reviving the career of strikers who have, for whatever reason, lost their way. Benni, RCS, Bellers, Andy Cole etc so if the Yak is being looked at hopefully he could reignite his career here. At least he has scored plenty of goals in the prem unlike some of the other rumoured targets. Plus he's took in a change of club at LCFC and bagged more than 1 goal in 2 there, so he's carrying a bit of form from last season.

Can anyone find out who the official owners of Gary Nevilles old house is? Just wondering if it was bought out of Venkys or rovers pocket?

I belive its Phil Nevilles not Garys. Phils is near burnley! i believe garys ried to turn his into tellytubbies house but got knocked back on planning permission.

I might be wrong tho lol

I stand corrected was Garys No likey, no lighty

Today i'm not going to care about transfer news, i'm not going to care about who's coming and who's going... I'm going to remember Uncle Jack.

"They called him Jack Walker... They called him the king of the land, on that bright summers day, on the 14th of May... Stood there with that cup in his hand".

Just watched Man City's squad and notice some players who can't even get a place on the bench:

Craig Bellamy

Roque Santa Cruz

Dedrick Boyata

Nedum Onuha

Vladimir Weiss

Wayne Bridge

All these would be good signings for us.

All over paid though, probably 70% more then they should be on.

It's becoming pretty obvious we're unable to negotiate fees for players, so here's what we do.

If Samba wants out, tell Spurs we want Bassong and Bentley, plus a bit of cash. It's the only way Spurs can get him anyway since any money they have is required for a striker.

Bring Hitzlsperger on a free transfer to add bite to the midfield. Too much weight is being put on Petrovic's shoulders, he might take time to settle.

Get Roque back from City. God knows where he is in the pecking order - surely they'll just want rid at this stage, even if they have to contribute to it financially. He did look good in spurts last season and I think he'd fit perfectly into the new system we play.

Get some cover for defence. Onuoha on loan would be ideal as he can cover right across the back four.

Robinson

Onuoha Bassong Givet Olsson

N'Zonzi . Hitzlsperger

Bentley .. Formica .. Hoilett

Santa Cruz

Bunn, Salgado, Nelsen, Hanley, Bruno, Emerton, Petrovic, Grella, Dunn, Pedersen, Rochina, Roberts, Goodwillie

(Anderson, Henley, Lowe, Morris, Blackman)

See...easy. The only outlay there is wages, but as we've let 11 players leave and only signed 3 (can't imagine Goodwillie, Petrovic, or Bruno being on that much either), that shouldn't be a problem.

Raul hasn't flow out with Schalke today.....very interesting, must be that a deal is near. What if he would be ready for Villa game? No need of international clearance. Raul is a perfect lone striker.

This team:

Robinson

Salgado, Samba, Givet, Olsson

Formica, Petrovic, Nzonzi, Dunn, Hoilett

Raul
