Step 1 - Call Diego Forlan, tell him you want to sign him to play up front with Raul.

Step 2 - Call Raul, tell him you want to sign him to play up front with Diego Forlan.

Step 3 - Book them both on flights to land in Manchester at the same time.

Step 4 - Sign them both.

Step 5 - Win League.

Piece of ######.

Greatest. Idea. EVAAAAAAAAR.

Just can’t see the point in Bentley. We have lots of exciting attacking midfielders. What we lack are strikers, central defensive midfielders and central defenders. I would see it as negligent if we blew our money on a player we simply do not need as much as in other areas.

Well said. The amount of RW'ers at this club now is bordering on silly.

Asked a bloke in the know for Juve stuff how much Iaquinta is currently on in Turin, and he said 2.5m Euros. Works out at £42k a week. Not 100% sure of the tax rate in Italy, but I'm sure he won't be happy with the 50% tax rate here, as I've said before was the reason Grosso and Camoranesi didn't move to Birmingham last Summer.

EDIT: Italian tax rate is 46%. So not much difference between the two.

EDIT EDIT: @EnglishSchalke says Blackburn asked Schalke to pay the difference on what they were going to give him and what he currently gets, which means Rovers offered Raul 70k Euro's, and wanted Schalke to pay 30k a week for the remainder of his Schalke contract.

Kammy positive about some new signings on twitter, said names may/will be revealed tonight :brfcsmilie:

Yup, things have been busy at Ewood.

I am told we are in for 2 defenders (One on Loan from a Premier League club, one permanent), plus a midfielder and a striker. Hopefully at least 2 of these will be here before the Villa game. Hopefully names will come out soon. The defenders are ok, not huge names.

how good is the striker? is he from the PL or overseas? is the fee in the region of 3-6 million pounds or bigger?

They did convince you that they had no interest in signing Raul though Kamy ;)

ha ha yup they did, got to give it to Zac he was 100% right on the Raul thing, I guess Venky's wanted to keep it quiet because they didn't want another Ronaldinho situation and credit to them for that, although in the end it was to no avail as Schalke leaked the story.
