Veevs Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brek_Shea Brek Shea Amazing how good scouting network this messageboard have? Must be best in the world Personally I just searched for him on google (plenty of articles out there if you know where to look.. and well it kind of is my job to know the web).. know nothing about the American league, but the two chaps who rated him as a potential are both American based and apparently follow the league out there, so doubt they got it from just the wiki and Kamy and Makey are the chaps who both pointed to an American from Dallas in the first place... both reliable sources.

Torgeir Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Anyone heard of humberto suazo? He seems to have banged goals in at every club he's been at. Maybe he could do a job for us. He's Chilean aswell so would boost venkys profile in south America. Not sure how much he would cost tho and he was at loan at real zaragoza last year Yeah, I suggested him earlier in the summer. Knows where the goal is and probably wouldn't cost a fortune.
Mercer Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Amazed that nothing has happened this week. It seems we are getting increasingly desperate to sign anyone now and if Kamy is right, two more young lads to be roped-in with it all to prove. IMO, Kean is the only one who doesn't seem to know what is required. The big risk is that our squad will be so unbalanced and found wanting very, very quickly.
Ricky Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Mercerman I think Kwan knows what we need hence his post match comments, appears the owners don't know what we need though.
Kelbo Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Don't get the Lansbury stuff.. he is a young creative player who can play RW or in the hole.. don't we have enough promising youngsters and a couple who can already play there? Although I reckon we still need a defensive midfielder with experience (now watch me jinx him) I have an odd feeling Petrovic will come good for us. Rovers-baz its the default rating as he has not played a game.. they all start in the middle at 5. WE have so many players to play in the hole we may as well hire a bloody brothel Now, my concern now, if these rumours are true, we are not looking at getting the correct balance in the squad and that is quite scary, we would have too many square pegs, ask any worthy coach and they will always say the same, you need the balance of left sided players, right sided players, wide players etc. just making up numbers, however good they may be is the road to disaster!

Sorry to disagree here Mercerman but to me the owners are the ones who have got us to this position. Kean probably knows what we need (original list was ace) but he can't attract them and can't afford most of them. Personally reckon we would be allot closer to a good side if the original list had been realistic in terms of money... instead we wasted half the summer chasing fools gold.
Kamy100 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 All I'm going to say is people are going to be very happy tomorrow. Can't say anymore but will do a 7am'er tomorrow morning!
Mercer Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Mercerman I think Kwan knows what we need hence his post match comments, appears the owners don't know what we need though. But have you the confidence in him to identify the right type of players we need. By that, I mean we do not need inexperienced wannabes with it all to prove or Johnny Foreigners who speak no English and would need time to adapt to our game. Frustrating thing is that so many have slipped under the radar who could have significantly strengthened us without costing a fortune eg Johnson, Reo-Coker, O'Hara and even Elmander!
chocky Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 All I'm going to say is people are going to be very happy tomorrow. Can't say anymore but will do a 7am'er tomorrow morning! Nice one Kamy I will look forward to that..

Interesting that Kean's name hasn't featured a lot of late. Can he be held to account for such a thin squad? He doesn't appear to have much cash, has next to no admin back up and an erm interesting financial stake to play with. He might or might not know what's required but he's not playing with a strong hand at the moment.
Ste B Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 All I'm going to say is people are going to be very happy tomorrow. Can't say anymore but will do a 7am'er tomorrow morning! Raully happy ?

iammikec Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 All I'm going to say is people are going to be very happy tomorrow. Can't say anymore but will do a 7am'er tomorrow morning! Ooh, you big tease!
scotty_beam_me_up Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Surely the window will kick off soon. Just been looking at the players City and Spurs want rid of and you can make a decent side! Gomes Hutton Bassong Onuha Bridge Wright philips Jenus krankjar Bellamy Santa Cruz Crouch/Pav Surely anyone of these would strengthen our squad and very few of them will get a squad number this season and their clubs. The players being talked about hardly whet the appetite.

You are a bigger tease than Nicko - at least we only had to wait until 11 Raul would be good - Raul and Jones would be excellent. I suppose there is also the Hoilett contract yet to be signed. Not going to be able to sleep tonight - be Christmas all over again
imy9 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Kamy you said VERY happy, very excited as you are one of the most reliable posters, reckon a good striker has been signed- Raul and ill be overjoyed. Edit- thinking about it the ONLY thing which will make us ALL happy is Kean to go...
Dunnfc Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 RSC Loan deal to Leicester apparently accepted by Man City.
