Sounds very good. What's the fee for Lansbury and Ibisevic though? and this John George fella?

Exciting, but I'm slightly worried about two things. 1 Ibisevic having a bad injury record. 2 we have a lot of new players, but not much Prem experience. No time for them to adjust.

I'm sure that the FM players are pleased. He looks like another good prospect but we are desperate for some PL experience and quality to go with all of the potential in the squad

Can I also make a polite request. Can all of the hyping up of the new signings be tempered a little? It's always the same over-whipped frenzy followed by the more reasonable "he sounds like he'll be good".

I'm not trying to be miserable but with the guesses and BS which follows is not good for anyone.

I know that Andy Cryer gets a lot of stick on here, but want to say well done to him on the Vukcevic story in the LT, great scoop for them. This summer Andy and the LT have been pretty much spot on.

Hopefully Vukcevic passes his medical etc. I think that he will turn out to be a very good player for us, as I posted earlier having watched him for a number of years he certainly has the pedigree. I am told that a couple of other Premier League clubs including Bolton were after him.

For what it's worth I think the Wolves match has shocked the club into action, they finally saw how paper thin the squad actually is and have speeded up transfer activity, I am told it was hectic at Ewood yesterday and I suspect it will be the same again today.

Thanks for the PM's but the striker I will only post the name once have had it confirmed until then as far as I am concerned it is speculation, and this summer I have learned that it not worth putting out rumours/speculation because it unecessarily get's people's hopes up and then if it doesn't work out people get angry!

Nor is all the negativity. Not saying you are being negative, and not saying your point isn't correct but 'he looks like he might be good' is hardly getting majorly carried away. Some of the players do look like they may be good. It's certainly useful getting some bodies in, we'll see their true abilities when they play but right now it's natural to make predictions.

Your right, also lets make sure they sign first. It all sounds very promising but until they sign on the dotted line then it doesn't matter how good they are. Some of the players will need tie to adjust to the physicality and the pace of the league. Some foreigners adapt right away but they seem to be players who come from French and German leagues.

Is Makey11 Unleaded's twin brother? Seems well informed (doffs cap).

Woke up this morning dead excited about Vukcevic, can't believe he's only £2mil Will be the bargain signing of the season (please sign after all this!).

Regarding the possibility of Lansbury, I thought he had failed to agree a new contract with Arsenal and was available for around £2mil...surprising if they loan him out again.

A tad disappointed with Ibisevic but haven't seen much of him, had one prolific season, rest seem average.

Simon Vukcevic is a very good player and will certainly bring more class and passing ability to our team. I'm delighted that we are apparently trying to sign Vedad Ibišević. He's a player I've said on numerous occasions we should try and bring in. He's been a regular goal scorer in the Bundesliga and for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Henry Lansbury was very impressive for Watford last season and would be another good addition to the squad. I have no idea who George John is, but if the other rumour about Marc Wilson is true that would be a decent signing. He showed a lot of potential at Rangers and probably moved too soon. At least he would give is desperately needed cover in defence.

Liverpool fan sent me this below on Wilson.

Looked okay in Europa League last year, against West Ham for his first (and only) Premier League start back in March he looked out of his depth. (Just got the impression he needed another 6-12 months at reserve/lower league level).

However he gets 90 minutes for Scotland, and scored on his international debut. Plus he played half a season in Scotland for Rangers at the age of 17.

Just a bit inexperienced at the moment. I do think he’s one for the future.

Happy with Simon Vukcevic, could be a incredible signing.

Ibisevic though? What's the point of signing somebody who probably won't be fully ready until the new year? That mean's we have the put up with Roberts bumbling around until then.

We need a forward who can come into the side now and hit the ground running.

Everton bid as well. Interesting.

Watching SSN this morning. Bill Kenwright gave an interview how they have no money at all and moyes will make no new signings.

Yet they are apparently bidding for this lad at £4m +

Seems to me Kean is telling fans all sorts of names.

I know of three completely different names, two defenders and one midfielder plus a striker (he wouldn't name the striker) that he gave someone else.

Onuoha was one of the defenders.
