chris Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 You're right - Ronaldo would be a far better addition to our team. We should go for him. Whats you point? you value Ronaldo at 2 million do you?

Taggart Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I agree with using MGP at left back. He could be useful in freekicks, throwings and set pieces and use Olsson at wing with his pace. MGP is quite good in defending too. Tosh - he can`t tackle for toffee, would be horrendous at left back - he shirks challenges as he is scared of being hurt. If we have to resort to MGP at left back, then things are bad !!
LeftWinger Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Whats you point? you value Ronaldo at 2 million do you? My point is that it is pointless comparing him (or the fee) to Ronaldo. Rovers can't sign the top level of players - we have to players who've lost their way a bit who may be available for a decent fee. Santa Cruz, Bellamy, McCarthy - even Tugay to an extent. If this lad hadn't fallen out with managers in the past etc - there is no way he'd come to Rovers.
A Tugay Substitution Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Sporting Lisbon changed their board of directors in April and their manager in June. Vukcevic had some problems with the previous managers and was a problem they had to solve. He wasn't part of the team this year and they want to get rid of him since it's his last year of contract. So they will be happy to sell him for something. Thing is he has fallen out with every single manager at Sporting so far. He'll probably replace Diouf on the field and also in the "training alone" section of Brockhall!
Veevs Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Not heard mention of a fee yet.. anyone know how much Ibi is going to be if we sign him?
m1st Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9203295.Agent_claims_Rovers_have_bid_for_Onuoha/ Apparently we've bid for Onuoha Well, if you read what Andy Cryer's actually written, his agent says we have. Which isn't quite the same thing. It's his job to "big up" interest in his client. And, as members of this Board who were around in the 1960s may well remember, Mandy Rice-Davies once famously said [although not about football agents!], "Well; he would say that, wouldn't he?"! I wonder if there's a similar thread on the Message Boards for Everton fans and QPR fans.

alexanders Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Not heard mention of a fee yet.. anyone know how much Ibi is going to be if we sign him? Havent heard it mention, but transfermarkt value him to €6m. Vedad Ibisevic
JAL Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 You are a complete fool JAL. Who do you want? Beckham? Ronaldo? 34 year old has beens? Look at our signings, if we get Vukcevic (an absolutely QUALITY player) that will make it David Goodwillie (young, full of potential, fans favourite at his previous club), Petrovic (young, full of potential, fans favourite at his previous club) and Simon Vukcevic (young, full of potential, fans favourite at his previous club). Add to that Formica and Rochina who are like two new signings after spending last season preparing for this one and I think it's a good start and it's all being done in the right way. Your problem is you see us being linked with top expensive players then moan when it doesn't happen even though Venky's never even mention the players in question...it's shoddy journalism and they get blamed. Luckily most fans aren't as clueless as you and can see we are signing some good young players full of potential. Only fools laud Myles Anderson, only fools like Ribiero, only fools like Stephen Kean, only fools like the Raos! Wake up ! FFS.
Ralfinho Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Havent heard it mention, but transfermarkt value him to €6m. Vedad Ibisevic here is his website Site
sparkspakespoke Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Well the Rovers Fans ridiculously waded in with their negatives, despite knowing sod all about the linked players, while the rentamob wisely hold back until they have actually seen them play. BTW - there does seem to be a common trait to these potential signings, - they're all unknown and cheap. Nope there was a ridiculously negative comment from someone who you admit is unlikely to have seen the players in question. It was rightly marked down as by your own admission few are in a position to judge the players. Try to keep an open mind and not let let the position you have already cleary decided to take cloud your judgement.

How can someone be minussed, for saying they aren't convinced? Explain that one please. What position?
braddock Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Only fools lord Myles Anderson, only fools like Ribiero, only fools like Stephen Kean, only fools like the Raos! Wake up ! FFS. Do you mean laud?
rover23 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Has anyone heard anything about Nelsen breaking his arm? Heard it in several places now... Could be the reason we are linked to 3 defenders!
Roberto Policano Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Just watching CL on Sky (MH V GK) - very impressed with Vladimir Dvalishvili, great scoring record too! Mohammad Ghadir(milan keen) & Eyal Golasa(Belgian passport) are the 2 Haifa players you should be in for, both would be cheap too. Golasa is better than Biram Kayal at Celtic.
alexanders Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Has anyone heard anything about Nelsen breaking his arm? Heard it in several places now... Could be the reason we are linked to 3 defenders! Nelsen's lad
mark1875 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Has anyone heard anything about Nelsen breaking his arm? Heard it in several places now... Could be the reason we are linked to 3 defenders! the reason given for him missing the awards the other night was his son had broken his arm?

No offense Den but your knowledge of European football is pretty limited if you have never heard of Simon Vukcevic. Petrovic was someone I had never heard of but a number of posters have followed his progress for years. £6 million plus for a striker is not exactly cheap either.
Makey11 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Has anyone heard anything about Nelsen breaking his arm? Heard it in several places now... Could be the reason we are linked to 3 defenders! Nelsens son broke his arm....

Didn't he miss the awards thing the other night because his kid had broken his arm? That was what Hughesy said I'm sure.
alexanders Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Nelsens son broke his arm.... Any news for us Makey?
True Blue & White Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 £6 million plus for a striker is not exactly cheap either. Yes it is.
SirLarsIII Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 If its Vukcevic I am taking credit for it! Mentioned him to Vineeth Rao about a week ago! Consider mebtioning Simon Kjær from Wolfsburg to him - very talented CB eho wants out - and club wants to sell. Danish Intrernational - better than Agger. :-)
