AmazinTim Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 It is permanent. Norwich got shot down a month ago with a £1.5m permanent bid. Looks like we'll have to top that to have a shot. That should add to our trend of ~£2m signings this summer.

stu07 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Found this about Ibisevic on global news when spurs were linked with him last year. Would be happy if he could show this for us. "The Bosnian forward is a big, strong player who is great in air. He also has good vision and dribbling skills, and can peel off well to the flanks due to his pace. When on song, Ibisevic is a ruthless finisher. He has scored four goals this season, and found the net 30 times over the previous two campaigns. He has also scored seven goals in 26 appearances for his national team. Ibisevic - who speaks fluent English, French and German - is contracted to Hoffenheim until 2013." Get fit soon lad.
rogerjonesgloves Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Just scrolled back in the pages but couldn't find the post about QPR manager Warnock having british targets. I think this shows the difference - experienced manager Warnock wants to bring in proven players - who will affect the side on the field. Keen targets players who aren't proven in the Premiership - now don't get me wrong just cause they haven't played here doesn't mean they wont make an impact but you can certainly see why Warnock has been in a job for years. I dont see Keen staying in a job for as long as him. I wouldn't necessarily hold up Colin as a role model manager. Proven PL midfielder for 2M, good luck.
Oklahoma Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Any news about the striker from Holland? Bryan Ruiz has been linked to several teams but Twente doesn't want to sell, at least until they know if they can get in the Champions league or not (my guess). They also have Marc Janko and Luuk de Jong, both good strikers. But I think Matavz is a more realistic target, already scored 3 and has 1 assist in 2 games this season and his team is probably more willing to sell him.

tony gale's mic Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Out of all the potential signings, if we can get him, Lansbury would be far and away the most exciting one for me. Can someone in the know clarify just how likely it is we'll get him on a permanent deal? A loan would be nice but TBH he won't be anywhere near his peak right now so I think he'd just be useful. However a permanent transfer would be brilliant.
Tricky Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 problem with goin for Lansbury, they might demand Samba as part of the deal
Hughesy Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 So he can top up his duty free allowances What a crafty git he is, had he told me the other night id have asked him to bring me back some Tabacco for my dad!! Out of all the potential signings, if we can get him, Lansbury would be far and away the most exciting one for me. Can someone in the know clarify just how likely it is we'll get him on a permanent deal? A loan would be nice but TBH he won't be anywhere near his peak right now so I think he'd just be useful. However a permanent transfer would be brilliant. It would be permanent from what I was told. And here is why - just need to be careful with Arsenal's sell-on clauses. Out of Contract next summer
Backroom Tom Posted August 18, 2011 Backroom Posted August 18, 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14582385.stm? Hoilett close to signing. Why does Kean have to go all the way to Toronto at the weekend? Can he not video conference with Senior Hoilett or something? Seriously? Even in what could be the best news of summer people still find something to throw at Kean
