With regards to the idiots at Schalke they got their A$$es kicked tonight. 2 nil against HJK Helsinki. Maybe Raul should consider leaving

Agreed, you would have to say him and Friedel were two best bargain's in our history and got be 2 of the best signings in the history of the premier league. Both great servants.

Add in Tugay & Hendry + Stead (Kept us in the PL for £1m was it?) And I'd totally agree...

Nelsen is nowhere near one of the best signings in the history of the Premier League. He's been a solid CB for us - it's a shame he tore his knee to shreds because he looked to be more than that at one point.

If George John is anything like Nelsen we'll all be very happy.

Brownie creating rumours on twitter of Olsson being sold.....WHAT!?

This better not be true otherwise it's one step forward, two steps back.

I meant in terms of the fee - both him and Friedel were free. When Hughes got him in he was one of the players who helped take the club forward.

Agree with the Hendry deal, he was immense for us and Stead did well for the season as well. Gutted for him since as he hasn't done anything of note. Where is he now?

Tugay was a legend, brought a tear to my eye when he retired, should have kept him involved in some way.

Always reliable twitter.

Not saying I believe it. Just better not be true that's all. Can't see it happening really.

Plying his trade in the Championship with Bristol.

Diouf? Useful with the ball at his feet, but absolutely no ability to beat a man these days and he doesn't like to track back. Not worth the trouble he brings.

I still wonder if his listed age is correct. He's lost ALL of his pace.

Been positively craziest day ever here. Three bids seems to be accepted and they all seem decent players. Vukcevic and Ibisevic are actually very good players and realisticly thinking best possible targets for Rovers. Happy if atleast those will happen. Boyata has been in my thoughts for some time and very happy if that one goes through with an option to buy. Lansbury I haven´t seen.

simple - Spit the Diouf!

We're looking to play a faster, high-tempo style of football.

Diouf's speciality is dwelling on the ball and drawing fouls. Would be okay as a bit-part player, but he's too expensive and too disruptive for that role.

Yes i recall now, he was doing well at Derby. Shame really his goals kept us up. Remember us beating Fulham 3-2 and him scoring. He played well with Cole but as soon as he left he just didn't do anything. Also I dont think Hughes rated him.

Really hope we can sign Onuoha, I think he is possibly the most important for me. Ibisevic is a very good striker and is a realistic choice for Rovers. Vukcevic, another good player as is Lansbury. If these four all sign then we can be excited for the future of our team, for me I feel we won't struggle at all if the potential signings happen.

Hughes didn't rate him because he wasn't good enough.

He was awesome in his first season with us because his confidence was sky high. Once the league adjusted to him though he disappeared. Much like Roberts.....only somehow he's still plying his trade in the Prem.

Woah there guys. The Diouf comment was in response to a post rogerjonesgloves made about neil warnock wanting an established prem midfielder for £2 mil.

It was an ironic post - relating to Warnocks love in with Diouf after the QPR game last season.... sheesh
