Promising if all the mooted deals materialise, of course nothing has actually gone through yet so it's a case of fingers crossed.

After years of having no or barely any creativity in the side it seems quite unbelievable that we could soon be faced with an embarrasment of riches in that department with the likes of Dunn, Hoillet, Olsson, Rochina, Formica, Ibisevic and Vukcevic all potentially vying for places in the side.

Ibisevic has only just turned 27, so still has his prime years ahead.....IF we are getting him for £3.5m, when he's valued at £6m then its very good business.

My mum values me at £37 million but Blackburn can have me for a pie and some mushy peas. Would that be good business?

Players return from ACL's in basketball and Australian Football all the time, most with little residual impact. I'm not too worried about the lads injury.

Virtually all who have this injury lose at least half a yard of pace.

It's great that, at long last, we are getting some new faces in, however, it will take time for 4, 5, 6 or even 7 new players to settle and gel. Better late than never though.

Medically there is nothing to support that. Knee injuries that require surgery in general tend to be prolonged and can have an effect later in the players career. One thing for certain is that the knee is actually stronger once repaired after an ACL operation.

didn't slow me down when I did my ACL and broke my leg in 2 places at the same time, was 26 years old, came back stronger, quicker and banged a whole load of goals in!

I know a few semi pros in the same situation, all came back strong!

I think we need to face facts, all footballers get injured, he won't fail a medical because of a thigh strain, would have to be something rudimentary to his career and value to fail the med.

well done the blues, lets get the boys signed and can't wait for the next home game already - up the blues

What Nicko says about the Ibisevic fee '3.5 rising to 6. Good way of paying slowly. Even 3.5 will be in stages.'

Ur mum would sell you??

Good to see some movement (finally) on new players - if they all materialise - but they are all young and new to the Premier League and will take time to settle into their new environment. It's a pity they were not idenitified and signed 6 - 8 weeks ago and the club could have hit the ground running in the new season - as things stand however it could be October before the team starts to gel by which time we will probably be struggling near the bottom and it will be very hard to recover.

Kean is finally doing things we have been shouting out for through Hughes, Ince and Sam!

Youth, creativity, pace and change in style!

He has also released some dross and loaned out keef!

Ticks from me! Let's hope people give him a chance to manage the team! I believe Xmas is reasonable!

Very happy with the linked names thus far!!

Show me a player who has come back after such injury and not suffered a drop in pace.

Look at three Rovers - Shearer, Reid, Emerton. Before Shearer suffered his cruciate, he was very, very quick - anyone remember the goals against Norwich & Arsenal at Ewood in that first season (they couldn't live with his pace). More recently, no one can argue that Emerton's pace hasn't dipped since he returned.

Interesting take take on the potential Raul transfer

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8709622/Blackburn-Rovers-manager-Steve-Kean-says-he-is-determined-to-sign-desperate-Schalke-striker-Raul.html

It's just great to have an article to show all those prats who are convinced Raul turned US down. He wants in fella's! Good times!!

Is this not considered as "tapping up" ?
