Flavio is from Italy and Bernie is British, there is a third owner from India at QPR of course but why let facts get in the way of a jibe.

The decision on who we sign is down to the owners and we are not at the point the door has closed yet. Lots of clubs are taking their time but too long and some will lose faith sooner than others, not that everyone had faith in the owners from the day they came in.

Why would I? OK so he has only a 20% stake, my apologies for my opinions.

How the apathy is spreading. Just after 11.00 and only 40 using this thread instead of the usual 200+. A very sad sign of the times.

Most likely due to the lack of transfer information (even if it did miss the mark 90% of the time) now Nicko does not contribute so much.

The last game of the season at Wolves - i was very optimistic for the 2011/2012 season. The first 45 minutes were the best i have seen for a few years. We ripped Wolves apart with experience, youth, pace and power. The way Kean wanted to play was finally coming through the players and we had the nucleus of a very good team: Robinson, Samba, Olsson, Hoillet, Jones, N'Zonzi and so on.

A month after the season ends we are linked with some quality signings and i am thinking with a few extra additions we really could challenge a top 8 spot in the League.

I also start working at BRFC and everything seems rosey - we are going to be marketing on a global scale across Asia, plenty of money to spend, Paul Hunt joins to steer the ship, new head of youth development and the club feels good.

I just finished at BRFC (won't tell you in what capacity) but the place has a weird vibe around it at the moment.

Pavone is not a bad player - i would welcome him to the squad (not a starter)

Hopefully Venky's will suprise us but i was fed some very good information during my time there and i was to believe all would come good (read my past posts) but that has now gone.

Thanks for your insight Vintage, it has been useful to find out what has the inside mood has been like, and I hope you have moved to something else or find something quickly.

Thats precisely it. I remember earlier in this window there was a link from somewhere saying the asking price was in the region of 5 million, which for me, would be fine. I really liked JJ and his boundless energy, but you have to wonder even if he was going for 5 mill, would we have even stumped that up.

I am sure that if there were genuine Rovers transfer activity, nicko would be posting.

@PhillipL or anyone else: have you heard anything, or do you have any notion on the Inaki Aguirre link from Saturday night? The story didn't appear in fleshed out form in the People. My guess is that either the editors didn't run with it (not glam enough) or it was a non runner that got proven as such before the People went to press.

I agree Phil, but it is strange that he hasn`t been posting on anything, not just transfer stuff - he has still been writing his articles for the paper though, so a bit strange.

Nicko - if you are lurking, can you shed any light, or have the sources dried up after all the internal witchhunting ?

Good to see that the rumours on this one are actually real lets hope we can finally see a deal through and get this Serb in the famous blue and white halves. :rover:

I think people will be slightly more relaxed when we make our first cash signing and one that seems like an improvement on current players - I certainly will breathe a sigh of relief as it means that they are spending !

But as usual with all Rovers related stories the trail soon goes quiet hence the comments about nothing being heard for the last 24 hours etc etc

I think Nicko stated that he would no longer be providing lengthy commentarys on his articles.

Wasn't that due to the "rattle out of the pram and I'm taking my ball home" reaction to his post being hacked? ;)

Petrovic would be a very good addition..exactly what we need and a better option than Jones in my opinion, only just gone 22 too, him and Nzonzi together with Hoillet and Olsson supplying the ammo once we get a decent striker in..perfect!

I dont think they could have predicted just how shambolic these clowns would have been!

If you sold your house for the asking price would you care if the neighbours hated them??
