Kamy100 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Do we reckon Vukcevic is going to sign and be announced today? Hopefully. Can't see him being in squad tomorrow though.

Neal Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Do we reckon Vukcevic is going to sign and be announced today? Just put that question to Cryer. No reply... Yet.
Wilko Rover Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hopefully. Can't see him being in squad tomorrow though. Fair enough, cheers for that. Give him a good week to settle down, train with the lads.
Doaksie Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hopefully. Can't see him being in squad tomorrow though. To play in the weekend's games, new signings had to be registered before 12pm today
dubdubdub Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 To play in the weekend's games, new signings had to be registered before 12pm today Can't say i'm too bothered so long as we have two centre backs who are centre backs (not Myles...didn't play last week when we had N'Zonzi so he must be ######).

Apparently which may support some of the rumours Givet is still ill and hasn't travelled. Samba and Nelson both have, thats according to Lancashire news. Hopefully the signings will give the club a lift, drop Pederson for tommorrow's game and play Petrovic and obviously Emerton misses out through injury. Move Nzonzi into midfield.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Out of interest, are our scouts from the old Yugoslavia? Or did they just spend their holidays there this summer?
alexanders Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Out of interest, are our scouts from the old Yugoslavia? Or did they just spend their holidays there this summer? Old Yugoslavia is a popular tourist place nowadays I go with alternative 2.
donnermeat Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 So is this silly Olsson rumour a load of s**t then?
Fife Rover Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 You're forgetting that Jim doesn't like 'Carlos Kickaballs',whatever that actually means... It means if they are not English born and bred he doesn't like them. Simple innit!
chaddyrovers Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 So is this silly Olsson rumour a load of s**t then? He is in the squad for tomorrow game against Villa
donnermeat Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 He is in the squad for tomorrow game against Villa That's good enough for me! Cheers!
Guest ljb Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Schalke_UK Schalke UK fan club Rangnick on Raul today after training: "We all want him to stay. Raúl knows that, and so does his agent. I hope he stays."

BangkokRover Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 His agent wants money and so does Schalke! and both PSG and Malaga have oil barrels of it.
Makey11 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Any possibility that we will get both - and that gives us cover whilst Ib gets fit in 4-6 weeks ? Personally, I just want Rovers to get some more signed up and integrated in the squad and training so as we can start playing as a unit with the new team(s) as soon as possible and get some points on the board. Makey has been quiet today - usually a spot on source of what is happening (personally think he has a batphone to Mrs D ) I like to sit back and watch unless someone has the wrong story then i'l correct them
chris Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 and both PSG and Malaga have oil barrels of it. PSG got a billionaire then?, well not a Venkys billionaire and Man City billionaire.
Hughesy Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I like to sit back and watch unless someone has the wrong story then i'l correct them Well rather than sitting back & watching, get a wiggle on and find out what the script is with our signings, any going to be complete today? Any official move for Boyatta/ Lansbury yet?
BangkokRover Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 PSG got a billionaire then?, well not a Venkys billionaire and Man City billionaire. On 31 May 2011, Paris Saint-Germain announced that Qatar Investment Authority bought a controlling 70% stake in the club, ending months of speculation about who the Ligue 1 outfit's new owners would be. Colony Capital and Butler Capital Partners, who bought the club from television channel Canal+ in 2006, remained as minority shareholders. Association PSG, meanwhile, held one share.
Steve Moss Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Also the Givet rumour may also have legs, as Givet had a massive bust up with Dunn during the Kilmarnock game which resulted in Givet demanding to be substituted, Rovers reasons for Givet not playing are highly debatable Am I the only one who thinks Dunn has become a liability and should be moved on?
glen9mullan Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I like to sit back and watch unless someone has the wrong story then i'l correct them Have you heard anything regarding Givet Makey?
RevidgeBlue Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hmm. I'm undecided on this. If we see who has left and who has arrived/might be arriving as a replacement since the end of last season, it looks a bit like this: Phil Jones = Nedum Onuoha Gavin Gunning = George John Jermaine Jones = Radosav Petrovic Keith Andrews = Henri Lansbury Mame Diouf = Simon Vukcevic Benjani = Nick Blackman Nikola Kalinic = David Goodwillie Roque Santa Cruz = Vedad Ibisevic I can't think who else has left, although I'm sure Kean said eleven recently? None of the players in the left hand column apart from Phil and Jermaine Jones made any real contribution last season and the latter was brought in along with RSC by the new regime anyway so any new additions wouldn't exactly have to set the world on fire for us to be stronger than at the comparable point last season. The direct EHD replacement is surely the recently emerged Hoillet (vast improvement) whereas Blackman is of a similar sort of profile to Mame Diouf. As things stand, much will depend upon whether Goodwillie can make a more significant impact than Kalinic's five League goals whereas we still desperately need at least one other quality striker to replace Benjani and RSC. Though how many League goals did those two contribute between them last year - was it three? Vukcevic Formica and Rochina really would be equivalent to outright additions as we didn't have any players of that type twelve months ago. "Thicko" mode on. Not sure where Philip has got his figure of seventeen departed players from, if he is including players like Rigters and Zurab in that it just how continuingly and pathetically desperate he is to sling mud at Venky's and the "evil" Steve Kean at every possible opportunity. The reality is that it would have been nice to retain Jermaine Jones, (although the younger Petrovic might be just as good or even better)and we will probably not be able to get anyone in as good as Phil Jones. None of the other departures are any great loss at all whether it be eleven or philip's exagerated figure of seventeen.

BangkokRover Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 The Middle East is ruining the game of football. Sure and Venkys are a real example of how to run a football club.
