The first two results of the season won't have done us any favours as regards attracting new talent.

Blackburn Rovers, ah yes I've heard of them, didn't you win the League once?

Where are you in the table? ........... ah - would you would you excuse me for a moment I just have to go and powder my nose......

Best move of the window now must be to keep Samba, until January at the least, we do miss him when he's not playing.

Think our entire backline isn't good enough, Agbonlahor was all over Salgado, Olsson is a left winger and Hanley isn't quite ready. Nelson is lacking match fitness and obviously it was his mistake for the last goal. We needed Samba to match up to Heskey today - Everton is a must win game next week, I aren't bothered about Wednesday - its about getting points at the moment. We need players in early this week, no messing around now.

Did Petrovic get on today?

Venkys just have to spend now.. we are in serious serious trouble 2 wins in 16 games is dire form.

Manager: Anyone with some experience

Defenders: Wilson on loan if Bruno isn't up to replacing Salgado, Yobo (3m?), Onuha (4m), John as a backup.

Midfielders: Any experienced enforcer.. JJ would be ideal but ffs I would take Joey Barton (and I hate him) or even Poulson on loan atm :(

Strikers: Someone who isn't currently injured is a must, forget Isisivic unless we have an experienced striker already lined up

Whatever happens we can't keep just buying youngsters.. look at Arsenal they apparently have some of the best young lads in the country and they are struggling, you just can't play half a team of 20 odd year olds and expect a result.

Yeah and he played well.

I think they should have played him and Formica today and gone for a 4-5-1. Last week we should have gone for a more orthodox 4-4-2, Keen's an idiot and like most others just can't see what Venkys see in him.

Roberts and Goodwillie are our only strikers. Even if we manage to bring in another top class striker, I don't think that will be enough.

I honestly think it's too late.

I wonder if the reason we are looking at all there attacking midfielders is because we want to play junior up front?

I do think thats where he'll end up and if will be effective there.

Still that would have some logic to it and there seems to be precious little of that in kean's thinking.

Formica, Rochina, Blackman? Thought they were all strikers.

Still need some positive news though to cheer me up.

Kean should have been personally thanked and then sacked by Venkys as soon as the season ended. This was obvious to everyone, you don't get anywhere being nice. Wish they would get their act together, hire a proven manager + backroom team and regain our club some respect.

So at least someone else see's that we are woefully short of strikers, Hoillet for me is a player that you stick up front when you have only 2 strikers in your squad he is a right winger or can play off the striker - he runs at defenders and isn't a natural finisher - more of a creator for me.

We need to get 2 or 3. I heard that @#/? Kean say that we would defo buy a defender to replace Jones and a Striker.

I think the pundits rarely get it wrong and everyone of them has said they are worried for us, we're the fans and sometimes we are blindly optimistic but even an idiot can see if we stay on this course we are going one way out of existance.

The current uncertainty and league position may also affect how players eg Junior and Robinson, will concider their options prior to signing new contracts

And why is going to Villa such a step up exactly?

Sorry but answer is simple! Villa will be in top flight next year and we won't, certainly not under this idiot. I assume he has FIFA coaching qualifications but what price those?

I am not convinced Junior will be at the club on September 1st..........

Joke? There's a reason he got sacked by Hull, guys a tosser.

He has injury problems and was on a huge contract. He's actually a good player, when fit, and seems like a nice chap from what I have seen.
