chris Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 cisse scored another 2 goals today, thats 5 in 3 games, just to think we were actually linked to him, he could have made the difference Apparently we offered 6 million when he was valued at 13.5 million. It was probably a PR stunt.
adsfortheblues Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I think it's getting to a certain point when chris is sounding peed off, he's usually quite positive but sound really naffed off today
ABBEY Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 cisse scored another 2 goals today, thats 5 in 3 games, just to think we were actually linked to him, he could have made the difference Weve been linked to everyone ,all in the name of free publicity for the V's
Wilsbowski Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Beckford a target apparently http://www.people.co.uk/sport/2011/08/21/exclusive-moyes-willing-to-sell-stars-to-raise-funds-for-desperate-everton-102039-23359799/
RoverMad86 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Martin O'Neil is out of a job. Worth a shout if Venkys decide that to save their investment and give Kean the boot. As for the playing side of things: experienced and good players are needed urgently. 40 points is a long way off right now.
JAL Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Beckford a target apparently http://www.people.co.uk/sport/2011/08/21/exclusive-moyes-willing-to-sell-stars-to-raise-funds-for-desperate-everton-102039-23359799/ Can it get any worse ! run the clowns out of town now before its too late. They dont know what they are doing.
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Beckford won't be coming, nobody else will. Same ###### different day. Unless we find a spare £40m we won't be tempting O'Neill....and I can't say I'm disappointed.
Roberto Policano Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Daniel Guiza joins Getafa on a free. Your scouts have probably never heard of him.
G Somerset Rover Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Beckford won't be coming, nobody else will. Same ###### different day. Unless we find a spare £40m we won't be tempting O'Neill....and I can't say I'm disappointed. Don't worry Brian, no doubt come Monday all the talk will be of the "many arrivals before the weekend". Whose the next ex Galactico that we will go for in an effort to take the heat off Kean/Venkys for a further few days?
Guest ljb Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 looking at david moyes in his interview on motd he is the only one i would take from everton right now he looks like he had enough, perfect for venkys on a small budget
Roberto Policano Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Beckford a target apparently http://www.people.co.uk/sport/2011/08/21/exclusive-moyes-willing-to-sell-stars-to-raise-funds-for-desperate-everton-102039-23359799/ Bilyaletdinov not the worst.
michaelthomas Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Bilyaletdinov not the worst. Hardly the best though, is he? He cost £10m or so and has done very very little since moving. I think Beckford for £2/3m could be alright, he started to show his talent near the end of the season after a slow start.
67splitscreen Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Your scouts have probably never heard of him. Linked to him last window or the one before 'Nicko' ran the story. May even have his own topic on here somewhere. Hows the day job doing. Not you wanting 3m for Nasri.
T.J.Newton Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 jack rodwell would be perfect if hes goin for a reasonable fee, need defenders and a striker desparetely though.
sweet Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Unless we find a spare £40m we won't be tempting O'Neill....and I can't say I'm disappointed. Not sure where everyone has this idea that O'Neill will only go to a club if he has millions and millions to spend. Yes, at villa he spent alot, but that was because the money was given to him. I think he only left because he was convinced he could take villa to the next level if he was given more to spend, but wasn't given that chance, so just like hughes with us, felt he had taken his club as far as he could. He barely spent much at celtic, and took them to a uefa cup final and had them running away with the league year after year, definetely the best celtic team in years. Also he had pretty much nothing to spend at leicester and had them as a comfortable mid-table side and took them to cup finals and a stint in europe. O'Neill would be absolutely perfect for us, because just like hughes he is a motivator who gets players playing above themselves.
LeftWinger Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Bilyaletdinov not the worst. I know Everton fans that think he's poor.
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 O'Neill spent more than any Celtic manager in recent history and benefited from facing some of the poorest Rangers teams in years in his time there. He left Villa when the money dried up so how could we tempt him? Finally better jobs than Rovers have been available over the last two years and he took none of them.
matduggy Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Beckford a target apparently http://www.people.co.uk/sport/2011/08/21/exclusive-moyes-willing-to-sell-stars-to-raise-funds-for-desperate-everton-102039-23359799/ No better than what we have in Goodwillie. We desperately need a striker who will make an impact like Bellamy, Cole, McCarthy did.
savage90 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 An injured ibisevic doesn't seem like the answer for rovers right now. There is little or no relationship between the current owners and the fans, who tend to remain patient throughout in comparison to other clubs. This is terrible when things appear to be going so wrong. We get no reassurances and no apparent action! The summer has been a total failure, when we deserved and expected much better. Venkys have let the fans down.
King Kenny's Magic Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Kean hopefully won't be the manager when ibisivic is back from injury. I just hope whoever comes in is a fan of the new signings.
bigbrandjohn Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 He has injury problems and was on a huge contract. He's actually a good player, when fit, and seems like a nice chap from what I have seen. Read some of the reports. he did some bad stuff on tour I believe.
imy9 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Hughesy did you get a mention in Nicko's article? Told a fans forum? Was that not Salgado telling you lol!
