Apparently we offered 6 million when he was valued at 13.5 million.

It was probably a PR stunt.

Beckford won't be coming, nobody else will. Same ###### different day.

Unless we find a spare £40m we won't be tempting O'Neill....and I can't say I'm disappointed.

Don't worry Brian, no doubt come Monday all the talk will be of the "many arrivals before the weekend".

Whose the next ex Galactico that we will go for in an effort to take the heat off Kean/Venkys for a further few days?

Not sure where everyone has this idea that O'Neill will only go to a club if he has millions and millions to spend. Yes, at villa he spent alot, but that was because the money was given to him. I think he only left because he was convinced he could take villa to the next level if he was given more to spend, but wasn't given that chance, so just like hughes with us, felt he had taken his club as far as he could.

He barely spent much at celtic, and took them to a uefa cup final and had them running away with the league year after year, definetely the best celtic team in years.

Also he had pretty much nothing to spend at leicester and had them as a comfortable mid-table side and took them to cup finals and a stint in europe.

O'Neill would be absolutely perfect for us, because just like hughes he is a motivator who gets players playing above themselves.

O'Neill spent more than any Celtic manager in recent history and benefited from facing some of the poorest Rangers teams in years in his time there.

He left Villa when the money dried up so how could we tempt him?

Finally better jobs than Rovers have been available over the last two years and he took none of them.

An injured ibisevic doesn't seem like the answer for rovers right now.

There is little or no relationship between the current owners and the fans, who tend to remain patient throughout in comparison to other clubs. This is terrible when things appear to be going so wrong. We get no reassurances and no apparent action!

The summer has been a total failure, when we deserved and expected much better.

Venkys have let the fans down.
