I think the big risk is that Kean loses his head, if he's ever had one to lose, and starts signing players, who don't fit the bill, in desperation.

For example, I'm still not sure where Rochina and Formica fit in.

I can see Formica playing in the hole but based on Kean's strange 442 yesterday, where is the hole ?

As for Rochina, the lad has skills but where is his position ? The same as Formica or wide left when, seemingly, we are trying to sign a wide left player.

As for how poor Anderson is, seemingly there were some very embarrassing moments in his reserve appearance at Norwich this week, we have a defensive crisis and he can't even get near the bench !!

As for Goodwillie, if he is a mere 11 stone then I'm 21 again !!!

Very worrying times - in fact, it would have no reality even if written as fiction.

It's still a bloody poor country though.

Interspersed between the blue chip companies are people living in tents with no shoes.

Yes, don't get me wrong, there is the super rich, the rich, the middle class, the poor and then absolute poverty and then a class below them as well.

It's a disgrace, when you see it, it makes your stomach churn, and they live cheek to jowel so to speak.

I didn't say I liked it, quite the opposite, but I just asked that you bear in mind that the top 3 categories are very big already and growing fast.

Lastly, this is one of the biggest transfer weeks in our clubs history, if they balls this up, January amendments will be too late, and it might be game over...

Kean should use Rochina like Barca used him, as a striker. Not a wing or whatever he uses him for.

dont expect any of the signings to have any impact and if im being brutally honest dont care about transfers while kean is here.

j jones aside there is an argument that we'd possibly have been better off without any of keans signings to this point, could have played anyone else even bunn instead of santa last season and he could'nt fail to have a bigger impact.

injured striker, usa nobody, vucinic never played in a top league, rochina/formica very lightweight, goodie suprisingly heavyweight, anderson inexplainable

they all seem to add up to a whole load of "why bother", end of the day everyone was carried away with raul etc and down on the likes of robbie keane, i'd have wagered keane would have had a bigger impact than all the above combined, and we still have a threadbare squad where the players here 3 years ago are still the first choices.

Kean says we are discussing personal terms with other players, anybody know who that is?

Isicivic isn't it the currently injured striker.. George John the other...

The BBC interview with Kean made me really cringe one quote stands out though "we are trying to add some quality in certain areas and I am sure by the end of the window we will have a competitive squad".... the other rubbish was a joke..

I still can't believe he thinks a couple of signings is enough, he mentions no experience then talks about adding a defender and striker not a much needed experienced midfielder.. waffle about us playing well (when in the first half?)... the chap has lost the plot.

I am still trying to work out some stuff in my head.. if the bank took the cash from the Jones transfer what happened to the rest.. Kean was quoted before the sale of Jones that we had one of the most cometitive budgets in a long while.. even if the bank took the Jones money surely we had the cometitive budget still left in the bank or did we know the Jones transfer was about to happen and banked entirely on that?

Huge week for rovers about to begin which could dictate our season

Wed- game against sheff wed- we need to bring some structure to the side and get some confidence back into the lads and this is a perfect opportunity.

Transfers- We need to get the right players in which will improve the STARTING 11 its no good Kean putting our new signings on the bench and relying on the same old. Desperately need a Proven goalscorer that can guarantee us goals. Try and look for some good last minute loans that will add strength in depth. Although I think its more important to try and get the right personal in that will be starting. Also a true test for venkys and kean is to keep Samaba, under no circumstance should we let him go. Spurs have done it before and will do it again a last minute bid which if accepted will leave us short and without our rock.

Injuries- Get samba and nelson back fighting fit this will bring the structure back into the team and give us a fighting chance.

Everton on sat - A fresh start at Home against a team with as little confidence as us, but with our home support and hopefully new signings in that will boost morale. Get the shape back into the team and get the 3 points to kick start our season Huge week which could prove to be a triumph or one that could signal the end for Mr kean.

Keep the faith !

Couldn't agree more BUT Nelson and I am sorry to say this, has probably gone on (lost what pace he had) Salgado similar but able to read a game. On Saturday, what happens, muppet plays Goodwillie on the right leaving Salgado even more exposed.

SK is absolutely incapeable of organising a team and as such is not capable of signing suitable players as he has no idea of shape or what he is trying to do. Afraid it is championship for us as I cannot seeing the owners getting rid of the muppet because they would lose face and that is a very big call in Indian culture. Only hope is they can become humble enough to realise their mistakes, get rid of SK and move on but I am not optimistic: We are bottom now and I fear we will be next May.

How about this for a senario? Salgado for manager (not sure about his coaching badges) and Raul as player assistant? Only dreaming!

Bingo!!

DFont know who you are 4000 but that is 100% correct, shape and organisation, whoever your players are is the most important aspect of the game, if you are not set up correctly you have no chance!!

Not just Allardyce, but as an example, each player knew their roles and the shape of the team, it is a team game, regardless of individuals, you go out and if you keep a good shape, defend and attack as a team, you have a chance.

When I did my coaching badges, shape was the first and most important aspect of tactical play, I was told there are three moments to a game, when in posession of the ball, when not in posession and when posession changes - this is important that the players know how to react quickly in each of those situations, if they dont, you are goosed.

When you lose the ball, you have to be quick to react to get back to your positions and become narrow, when you have the ball, you open out and stretch the opposition by making the game wider, its basic yet we dont appear to be doing that and as 4000 states, without cover, Salgado and all of the back four become exposed, caught in two minds and dragged out of position.

Points well made.

And another thing - Why are we still being linked with attacking players when it's plain to see we need strength at the back?

Teams with ordinary midfields and forwards are a chance of staying up.

Teams with ordinary defences are down by Christmas.

true, according to various media reports we've been "closing in" on those players since Friday.
