not a hint.. just an idea. not sure kean has (m) any:angry2: im frustrated with kean's lack of forsight. he isnt shrewd either!

No he isn't.. seemingly he lacks logic as well, you can't say publically we lacked experience then go out and buy a 24yr old defender from a weak league and expect that to fix the experience issue in defence... nor will a 25yr old loose cannon from a weak league fix that issue further up front... in openly stating the issue and not looking to fix it he is making himself look even more of a fool.

Resigned.

"The Hammers looked a certainty for relegation when he joined but after a brilliant second half of the season West Ham escaped relegation on the final day of the season with a win over Man United at old Trafford. The following seasons were more difficult for Curbishley as he grew annoyed by the clubs transfer policy and as speculation mounted he resigned his position in September 2008."

Wasn't it all around the time of Kia Joorabchian involvement.

he was never one of my ideal managers in the past but! ...... how times have changed.

I know exactly what you mean......but just at the moment ANY manager worthy of the name would be a huge improvement on Kean. I'd even back John Coleman from Accy Stanley to do a better job. He has proved over the years that players will jump through hoops for him.

Err.... Not that I am saying he is the one to go for..... just that he'd be a huge improvement on Kean; that's all. ;)

As expected Vuckenic to sign shortly according to the BBC. Good signing but we need about 5 more this week. Boyata seems to be going to Bolton as well.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/9569798.stm

Look at 13.46.

Whoot.. "It's no secret we need another defender and a striker" Kean.. so our first announced signing is another attacking midfielder :)

Anyone get the feeling that we don't have the staff to survive a deadline day frenzy? Hell 5 days to complete this signing, similar for goodwillie and even longer for Petrovic, near 2 months for Bruno and Rochina and Formica also took a while.. :(

early this week.. hmmm lets see about that, normally takes about 4 days for the medical, then 3 days to try and get a work permit, then another 2 days to get his visa, then they let us wait another couple of hours just to ###### us off

Now people are talking of Salgado as manager. You lot are ###### mad...I can tell you are because you're agreeing with Phil.

I am not saying we SHOULD be looking to replace Kean with Salgado, but if we did he would be a huge improvement (anyone would come to think of it).

I think Salgado has all the right qualities of knowledge of the game and players worldwide, plus he has undoubted leadership and would have the respect of the other players IMO.

I think with the new additions of a footballing director etc things are moving slightly faster.

But compared to the big clubs who often complete transfers in one day, we are extremely slow, which is frustrating!

With the greatest respect for you views, I believe next doors cat could do better than Kean, he is totally clueless and so far up the backsides of the owners, believes he can do as he wants, he's had twenty six games to prove by results, he is the worst manager in Rovers history, he doesnt need time, he needs a brain, all the crap he came out with after the Villa game is from the tongue of someone deluded, wallowing in the chaos he and Venkys have created and still thinking he is a decent manager, a decent manager prepares for the season, Kean has simply been a puppet for Venkys!

Anyone taking over would be an improvement on Kean!

Spot on...every word!!

thats how it should be done.. if the player is healthy, and he is fit, then what the heck is this 2 day medical all about? do they 1st do his lower body 1st, then check his upper body the next day? or do they check limb for limb, and every finger and toe? do they check to see if his teeth are straight, and if his hair is the right lenghth?

Unless Salgado has the required FIFA badges such scenarios are probably unlikely.

In any case, Kean shouldn't be sacked before the window closes in my opinion, unless an experienced manager is approached with extreme haste.

The reason for that is that the window could POTENTIALLY be good, IF Vuckevic, Petrovic, Goodwillie, John all deliver along with needed loan signings. It seems though that Ibisivic would be injured in the critical period that lies ahead, which is unfortunate. I just hope that we sign or loan a proven & injury free PL striker, even heskey...

That we know of, take a look at the Lukaku transfer confirmed allegedly 10 days or so ago same press conference with Romeu.

Vukcevic 2 days for a medical returns home allegedly for a visa, (try getting one over the weekend) probably back today or tomorrrow. In all fainess we probably could have announced the deal Friday ..... but! ....

Once again I'll say if Kean is a puppet his successor will be too, so why would you want another puppet?

Braddock,

I really dont see how you can seriously defend the pratt, he is unreal, Walter Mitty style!! I am at least pleased you are admitting the guy is a puppet!

A good manager will tell the woman in India, You look after your chickens and I will sort out this football club and save you millions of pounds, by the way Mrs D, I am not charging over to India every 10 minutes, I need to be sorting my team out for the next game.

We need to strengthen the squad there is no question about that. The problem I see is that even if we bring in another 3-4 players it won't make much difference under this manager. Kean is very tactically inept from what I've seen and by the looks of it he is struggling to motivate or control his players.

Sign the players yes but we also need to sign a new manager.

Sure thing, the manager is an employee, unless you are RFW or similar you do as you are told.

Could this be a woman thing.

A manager is paid to manage, his reputation is based upon results, the owners can lose all their cash and get relegated with this clown or they can listen to someone who knows what they are doing, they clearly havent and thats why we are in a mess with Kean as manager!

As for this being a woman thing, no, none of the family know anything about football!

It helps if a club can also say at the outset-" £150,000 a week tax free suit you sir"- tends to hurry transfers along.Roversby total contrast seem to want to squeeze every last penny out of a deal even if it means players missing the opening four or five matches. Come on get your finger out Rovers-we need two wins this week.
