Kean is a big problem, but getting players in is, at the minute, a bigger one. We can change a manager whenever we like, we only have a small amount of time to get players in. I think everyone is in more or less the same boat with Kean, he isn't the man for the job, but right now we must concentrate on getting players through the door while we can.

Absolutely, 100% agreed. I am amazed how many people on this board fail to appreciate this point.

Who at the club (in a senior position) has the power to push former players as managerial candidates? All the long standing Directors are all but gone from the club.

The owners would say Tugay who?

Nobody at the club has their finger on the pulse regarding actual football concerns.

But what qualifies Tugay to manage a PL team?

Ex players aren't the answer, it's often a crowd pleaser but little else

I am hoping for 2 or 3 new signings. A win against Everton...a draw against Fulham. That will make a mid-table position before the tough bit of the early programme. Then a chance to build the team spirit against the big teams at home(and the crowd). Then we consolidate.

Now that is calm. Its realistic. And its not about the kind of knee jerk,self-destruction on here.Any one would think that our away form pre-Kean was good or even average. We are re-building and its a hard League to do that with naive owners.

I know it's all a matter of opinion but Souness was a great manager. He got us promoted, won us a cup and our first season back in the prem we played outstanding football! When Uncle Jack died i remember him coming out to the Blackburn End fans an hour after the game, told us to stop singing his name because that day was about Jack. He said some very heart felt words about him and our club, clapped us and shook our hands... Proper footballing bloke. Yes, he sold Dunn... But bought Tugay! Yes, he left for Newcastle (thank god he did else...) but all things considered he's a Blackburn Rovers legend. I for one would take him back in a heartbeat.

Back to transfers... Not that Messi could make a difference with this idiot in charge.

You make alot of valid points and when you put it the way you have I have to agree. I think I do what most do and look at his last season and a bit when he tried to break Yorke's legs in training and pushed Dunn out the door. I was seething at him, however his respect towards Jack was amazing and he was honest about when we were playing tosh and when we played well. He knew football, I wanted him to leave in the end and could see why he wanted to go to Newcastle. I think we may have gone down that year had we not got Hughes in, he could see we needed defenders and Amoruso was rubbish.

We were much tougher to beat though, kean has made us easy to beat, Wolves have never had an easier away game.

So desperation can actually make one hope for 2 losses. Mad - but if thats the price for Kean getting sacked...

Dont quite believe it though

What a moronic thing to say, to hope that 'your' team loses 2 matches, no matter who is in charge is a disgrace.

I sometimes think that too many of the members of this board base their opinions on their experience in FIFA or FM. Transfers rarely happen that quickly. Sometimes they do, but most are fairly drawn out and take well over a week, even towards the end of the window. It is really only in the final 24-48 hours that you see deals fly through...or everyone could just ignore that and continue to be critical of the club for conducting its business in the same way as every other professional team.

Players like George John in the MLS make almost no money. He's probably earning something like $50,000 for the year, so I can't imagine personal terms are going to be that difficult to sort out. He could be the lowest earner at Rovers and he'd still be getting a huge raise.

Surely if he is traveling from America the personal terms would atleast have been agreed in principle,he does look like a good player and his strength and composure on the ball is impressive,i thought vukcevic had his medical on Thursday yet people are saying he had it today what's up with that

See the link here: MLS Player Salaries

He's on $42,000 for the year. Not per week, per year.

the state we are in, appointing tugay may possibly be the only option available to the raos to appease the fans............i could take a losing streak with tugay in charge, i just cant stomach kean a second longer

Seen today that Cologne have rejected a move for Podolski from a turkish team.

We should go all out to get him not Raul.

Norwegian manager Ståle Solbakken - former FC Copenhagen is under a lot of pressure after a horribble start on the bundesliga. Doubt he would sell his star now.

That's also in USD, if we offer him 5k/week in GPB then he'll make back his current yearly salary in 5 weeks. Shouldn't be much in the way of this I'm hoping.

It's sad, he makes less now than Rooney, John Rooney.

dont know about sad. i wish i could earn that playing a sport i love

Tugay? Loved him as a player - but - a manager who never talked to the press? Are you serious.
