JAL Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Marco Ruben. Now that sounds a lot better especially if we already have young Formica here.

Nelsta Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Aswell as Ibisevic, and hopefully pushing Roberts to 4th choice striker.
Eddie Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Aswell as Ibisevic, and hopefully pushing Roberts to 4th choice striker. What do you base that on?
Nelsta Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Andy Cryer said “Ibisevic is comming along nicely and Keans gone talking to another striker to bring in."
roversfan99 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 A comment underneath the LET article: DINGLESCUMHATER says... 5:24pm Tue 23 Aug 11 kean as gone to Greece and has gone to talk to Kevin Mirallas from Olympiacos F.C. about a loan to us and thats a fact and from a good source from greece
RoverPedro Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Aswell as Ibisevic, and hopefully pushing Roberts to 4th choice striker. Roberts has blocked me on twitter. Hehe. Hopefully he does drop down the pecking order as he is no way good enough for the prem anymore or ever was. Lets see how positive he is when does start being put on the bench or in the squad at all. I can only see him throwing tantrums like he did last season
youandwhosearmy Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Has any team in the history of the premier league signed as many unproven players in one transfer market?

Saw him a decent amount when he was at St Etienne and he isn't an out-and-out striker. On top of that Olymiacos only signed him on a full-time deal last season (he was on loan there for a while at the beginning of the year). I believe that he has done fairly well there, although I haven't tracked his career since he left St Etienne. He is young and I believe he starts for them, so I can't see why they would then send him out on loan, especially to a superior league.
adsfortheblues Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Has any team in the history of the premier league signed as many unproven players in one transfer market? One team had a signed a lot of crap players in one season that's for sure blake, ward, daily etc lol

donnermeat Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 All the bullshit aside, Jimmy Bullard is an excellent footballer. Free, short term contract on low wages make that one a no brainer. I think excellent is definitely an exaggeration.
donnermeat Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Read the bit where he says if he can isolate a full back, all they will do now is double up on him and we dont have the quality to make the numbers and space count. Maybe he should do this to help out his own players out? (Salgado)
chocky Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I think excellent is definitely an exaggeration. I think he's a knob. A second rate footballer and always injured these days.
daveoftherovers Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I think he's a knob. A second rate footballer and always injured these days. Get off that fence can you chocky LOL Pay as you play and Sub would be the most I would tolerate. He is a good player, but obviously has straw for a brain, excellent set piece taker, tend to have always had him in the "What a waste of a talent" pile.
duffbear Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Regarding Bullard I would be happy signing him if it was something along the lines of £10,000 and week and maybe £20,000 for every game he plays what does everyone else think?
wandel77 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Regarding Bullard I would be happy signing him if it was something along the lines of £10,000 and week and maybe £20,000 for every game he plays what does everyone else think? We need strikers !
Torgeir Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Whatever happened with Rondon? Too expensive apparently.
Commondore Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Regarding Bullard I would be happy signing him if it was something along the lines of £10,000 and week and maybe £20,000 for every game he plays what does everyone else think? I wouldn't be against another central midfielder, but Bullard is neither not the answer. A comment underneath the LET article: DINGLESCUMHATER says... 5:24pm Tue 23 Aug 11 kean as gone to Greece and has gone to talk to Kevin Mirallas from Olympiacos F.C. about a loan to us and thats a fact and from a good source from greece Mirallas was considered very promising a few years ago, but never really fulfilled his potential. He's a decent player from what I've seen, but he's more of a second striker/offensive midfielder than the main striker we really need. If he came here he would be competing with Formica, Vucevic, Hoilett, and possibly Rochina and Dunn for one single position.
AmazinTim Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Still astounded nobody has snatched up Michael Bradley.
4000Holes Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 What are we going to do with all our midfielders now, the balance of the squad is awful, no wonder we are leaking goals, Jimmy Bullards had his day, wonder why no one else is in for him!! Incredible, 3 defenders, 3 up front, 27 in mid field. Lets guess he hasn't gone out for a forward, it's another one in midfield. No format, no shape, no hope! HE HAS GOT TO GO!! PS. will reply when I work it out?
John Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Remember there is likely to be 2 loan deals done (domestic) however these will be done at the end of the window.
Ossydave Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Why the hell does Kean have to travel all over the world to negotiate transfers and contracts? I've never known it happen like this before, ever. Fair enough if you manage a top class team and have a chance of signing truly world class players you should do everything you can to sign them up. To sign the calibre of player we're in for its a joke though.
Nelsta Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Marco Ruben on the bench for Villareal tonight. The plot thickens.
AJW Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 We need strikers ! we need defenders!! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11698_7065847,00.html its an old story but he still hasnt moved ... i think a very decent player and could be Givet's replacement and i;m sure would be a reasonable fee
