Poulsen is awful. Jermaine Jones may well have been the answer, and may well still be.

Personally I'd look to play Dunny alongside one of Petrovic or N'Zonzi in the short term.

What about Vukcevic?

At the moment they do form part of our strongest midfield. This may change by January when we have seen Formica Rochina and Vuckuvic play, but at the moment they are part of our strongest midfield.

If we are that screwed with Pedersen and Dunn playing why havent we been relegated yet? I cant think of anyone apart from Emerton (and even he played right back alot) who we have lost from midfield who was an important player.

And if anything the teams cwho came up this year are worse than last year!

Callum,

See where you are coming from but would just ask one question to most on here, why do you think Rochina is a midfielder?

Representing Spain at under 16, 17 and 19 he has always been a striker and his movement and striking of the ball suggests to me he is the best one we have at Rovers.

Heres a comment from just one Barca fan when Rovers went in for him!!

'Quote'

He is really one of the best strikers we have..

yes he does not start is Barca B but soon he'll definitely! Because fellow cules you are missing the point! NOLITO is going to Benfica so he is surely to earn his place in he starting XI with Soriano

I honestly think he has a future with the club moreover more than Soriano because he is much younger!

Not that I'm disagreeing but I saw JB at 60k pw.. which is a lot for a player who is a complete and utter tosspot.

Our problem from midfield is our players either make runs TO the ball and then rather than turning players they just pass it right back where it came achieving nothing except they're now slightly more tired. Or the make runs AWAY from the ball but nothing pacey or clever enough to lose their marker. The number of runs Goodwillie and Rochina made against Sheff Wed where they set off then stopped leaving the ball going free was ridiculous.. everyone needs more time to gel and to learn how all their teammates are likely to move and react. We need a Tugay character in the centre to run the midfield someone who really can pick out the right passes and always knows exactly where the players want it.

You could argue that this player needs to be experienced.. but you could also argue it just needs to be a player who's willing to put the time in to learn his teammates in training. Premier League experience is good to learn the pace of the game etc but the gelling and experience of the team is even more important in my opinion. Bringing in a young crop of players who are going to grow up together and learn each others moves for years to come can only be a good thing.

Barton will apparently be on £80k per week if he signs for QPR.

Just been speaking to a friend from home who plays sunday league with Stoke's Andy Wilkinson - apparently as of the weekend just gone we have been in discussions with him/Stoke.

I know this was rumoured a few weeks ago, but perhaps there might be something in this to explain allowing Brett to leave now

P. Jones and J. Jones.

Should make Nicko happy as he was wearing a Patrick Thistle jersey at one time, if only on loan.

If you'd read the thread title and description it says 'for all OFF TOPIC transfer stuff' money, who we need etc..

The other threads are to discuss the incomings.

Ahh yes you are quite right, should have read the small print and not just the big letters :wstu: will try better next time.

Don't be silly! Haven't you read the posts on here? He doesn't have premier league experience so he can't be good enough! Olsson and Hoilett have 100 appearances between them and they aren't experienced. Nzonzi won player of the season his debut season and he isn't experienced enough. No no, Jermaine Jones clearly can't cut it in this league as he's proven with his lack of experience. We need another team to buy him and play him for a few seasons, then we can safely purchase him when he's 34.

Sums up how daft some are being quite nicely.

Hoilett has 47 games and N'Zonzi has 55 games.

That's less than a season and half's worth of accumulated games each. I'll repeat that...less than a season and a half of Premier League games.

Complete and utter desperation to claim 21 and 22 year olds with less than a season and a half's worth of games are your experienced players. Like I said, highlights just how bad the situation is.

Is it worth me repeating the difference between having experienced something and being experienced at it? I thought it was a fairly basic concept. Try applying for a job that lists "experience" in the title and tell them you've done it a couple of times so you do have experience of doing it.

What onouha deal???

My guess is, the only way we will be after onouha is if samba leaves.

Agree..John is the P. Jones replacement, with onuoha only coming into the picture if Givet/Samba leave. God help us if they both do.

I still feel we have the makings of a good squad provided we keep hold of Samba.

Robinson

Bunn

Salgado Samba Nelson Givet

Ribeiro John Hanley Ollson

_________N'zonzi Grella

Hoilett_________________Vukcevic

So by YOUR logic JJ is not experienced enough having only played a dozen or so games?

I would question your friend, from my knowledge, professional footballers are not allowed under the terms of their contract to play for any other club, what if they got injured?

Even in non league football, if you have a contract, I would be amazed if the club would allow them to play!

I think it goes on though. I know someone who knows Brayford at Derby and he told everyone about when he was signing for County from Crewe, way before it happened as well. Rob Hulse was a guy who use to get in a pub near me and he told strangers what was going on at Crewe. Also know about what happened in austria a few years ago with the Stoke players as I know Carl Dickinson, footballers don't always keep their mouths shut.

I'm not saying its true just that it could be.

My bad, I ommitted Wilkinson's brother

It does go on though, I've played against Anthony Gardner in a kick around, and my friend completely owned him

I've played against Dunny in a kick around. We were under 13's at the time though, or something around that age. On Rishton Prime Time for Great Harwood Rovers. He was the best player on the opposition side...
