why do you keep calling him Selgado ? I thought he was good for us last season, yes he has some weaknesses, but so do our other full backs on the other side of th epitch who all gave away goals with mistakes. He tries to get forward, plays intelligent football, is a leader on the pitch - his legs are slow, and he doesn`t jump as high, but he makes up for it with his knowledge of the game and guile - i really like Sally

cos my spellings crap thats all.

i like him as a character but he is past it as a player, he still has good tecnical ability that will never leave him even after he does retire, but his physical attributes are gone and as for his experiance and knowladge that didnt stop him giving away a poor pen against wolves and then passing the saved ball right to an oppo player to score.

Translated:

LONDON - Blackburn Rovers have officially reported at Ajax for Mounir El Hamdaoui. That has coach Frank de Boer announced Thursday.

Ajax was reportedly approximately five million euros to receive the Moroccan striker, who after several collisions with De Boer is no longer part of the selection.

A concrete offer has not yet within Ajax. ''Many clubs are interested, but sign up on only the guardians of the player. Ajax is currently in talks with anyone'', said a spokesman.

El Hamdaoui previously played in England for Tottenham Hotspur, a time that he loaned to Derby County. Ajax would still like to attract a new striker, but must first El Hamdaoui for a nice amount to get rid of.

Lol - they won't be getting 5 million euros from us!

Hoilett has 47 games and N'Zonzi has 55 games.

That's less than a season and half's worth of accumulated games each. I'll repeat that...less than a season and a half of Premier League games.

Complete and utter desperation to claim 21 and 22 year olds with less than a season and a half's worth of games are your experienced players. Like I said, highlights just how bad the situation is.

Is it worth me repeating the difference between having experienced something and being experienced at it? I thought it was a fairly basic concept. Try applying for a job that lists "experience" in the title and tell them you've done it a couple of times so you do have experience of doing it.

Compare to new players coming from a different league, and the experience of playing in the league is good enough to warrant the experience tag. It doesn't matter whether they 20 years old, fact is that playing for a year in the league, you are somewhat experienced. I get where you coming from LeChuck, but once you get to know the ins and outs of the PL, then you are able to pass this experience on to new players. You have to start somewhere, and you have to gain the experience at some point by learning. It does seem, that the perception is, that if you are young you can't be classified as experienced.

Hoilett's likely to get the #7 you'd have thought, particularly given they're pushing to get him to sign a long term contract. It's not a big thing of course but it's probably something they'd throw in to the mix to reflect how valued he is to the team now.

Hoilett's been assigned a number already so wont change, I imagine Vukcevic will have 7 and Ibisevic 9.

Kean has said that he could sign further players from the SPL - well, beware of Greeks bearing gifts, especially the cheaper options !

To those who couldn't wait to register their minus, it's clearly gone over your heads !!!

Never mind, might be clearer come 01 Sept.

Unfortunately, there's no vaccine yet for stupidity.

LT at 11. Kean wants A but clock ticking and will soon go for B instead - wants A though... also answers the prem experience debate

im thinking he wants Vedad Ibišević but with time running out he might have to go for option b who is El Hamdaoui

Real Betis have signed Manchester City's Roque Santa Cruz on a one-season loan.

bullet dodged........convinced he'd end up here.

Hope there are more defenders and a defensive mid still to come after these strikers, no guarentee these strikers will amount to much so we definitely can't go on shipping goals as easily as we do.

You'd think a member of Mensa would be smart enough to read the posting guidelines, especially when it comes to personal insults.
