No way will we ever play that shape, we'll get battered. We could rearrange that personnel though...

Robinson

Salgado Samba Givet Ollson

Nzonzi Petrovic

Hoilett Vukcevic Rochina

Goodwillie

Looks frightfully frail though, I wouldn't fancy taking that team away to the likes of Stoke, Wolves, West Brom etc.

would look a much better side without signing anyone...............just take salgado out. Would look even more solid If jones replaced N'zonzi and givet replaced ollson, although it is nice to see formations that don't include pedersen or roberts....grella/dunn/andrews/hanley

Rochina looks the better of the two at the moment. Hoilett and Vukcevic will be guaranteed starters if they are fit.

I don't think that Rochina is quite ready for starts in the EPL in my opinion.

Junior, Simon and Formica behind a striker, all interchanging positions. Sounds pretty exciting.

Read somewhere that Lakuku was heading to Stoke on loan but not until January.

As for Patrick Andersson, it can be difficult adapting at centre back in the EPL and I don't think we gave him enough time. Maybe easier coming in at full back then moving across a la Berg.

The centre back at Barca didnt do it for Man U either

Barton's gone to QPR and Parker looks like he's going to Spurs. Two great midfielders who I fear will destroy our midfield when we play those respective clubs.

Would you now like to list the Citeh, Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea midfielders who will destroy us.

Barton has never done it before, neither has Parker. One is scum and one is over-rated.

Neither would have come here.

Paranoia is setting in.

personally i'd like to see us play a much more attacking 3-5-2 when at home at the very least.

Nelsen/John Samba Givet

Nzonzi Petrovic

Hoilett Vukcevic Ollson

If thats your opinion fair enough but i disagree. I think Parker is a class midfielder - writers player of the year last year and they don't usually get these things wrong. West Ham suffered alot when he was injured. Quality midfielder.

Barton I think has played well over the last 2 seasons. Scum of the earth, but better than alot of our players.

Could possibly have meant as when barton punched pedersen.. ^^

Trouble is we undersell our own players, Hoillett, Formica could destroy defences, but many fans seem to ignore the positives.

All right. Not waiting. Ibisevic is stuck in Germany still. No visa. ElHamdaoui is set to go to Lille. But will go to Rovers if he gets call

I would be happy with either striker. both good finisher and are not going to cost a great deal of money.

I am guessing Kean will go for that formation as well but with Formica instead of Rochina and Simon on the left/right.

However the team has NO leadership or communication skills beyond defense and it's been proven over the years that this is essential for any team to do well.

For those fools who keep ranting "what do you want 6 30yr olds".. err no I would like one proper leader and an experienced goalscorer... some people have that confidence and swagger and communication skills to be able to pull a team together (Savage, JJ, Tugay et al all can do that) and we need it especially as we are going to have to get allot of kids from all over the place working together very quickly or we WILL be relegated.

Communication may also be a bit of an issue.. French/English, Scottish/English, Serb/English, Spanish/English, Canadian/English is a frightening combination.. it's subtle but it still is an issue.

Would feel much much more confident with JJ or another player with quality leadership AND communication skills in there as well as a fit natural goalscorer.

Language may be an issue - but after seeing Petrovic only once - I can't say whether he will be a leader from midfield or not - you obviously have greater insight than me. Also Nzonzi does seem to lead by example these days.
