texasrover Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 How long have we been talking to this Ibi guy? I feel like a Visa should have been tied up a while ago.
modes98 Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I feel like a Visa should have been tied up a while ago. It's normally not an issue. Especially if he is just coming over for a day or 2, as he would have to leave the country should he need to apply for a work permit. Seems a bit strange that this would be a major issue when you have agents, etc involved who do this regularly. Maybe he isn't so sure that he would pass a medical and wants to leave us with no other option but to just sign him.

Having Visas issued is an issue regardless how big the agent or how experienced they are. Consulates around the world have huge backlogs and even backhanders only get applications pushed up the ladder so far.
Hughesy Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Ibi getting his 'working visa' says to me that its all done & dusted, except for Medical. He is clearly confident of that if he wants that before he comes over....fair play. Shame we cant buy both strikers though. As for Samba - he will cost MEGA money to prise away from the owners.......

Josh Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 That's not something we didn't already know really, if clubs bid the amount we'd be looking for if we were to sell Samba then obviously they would evaluate the offer
braddock Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 That isn't news, that's olds. Someone pays the asking price (which is very high) for Samba and he's free to leave. We know that. Thats the same for any player.
Guest ljb Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Blackburn-Chris-Samba-to-face-Everton-in-what-Steve-Kean-admits-could-be-farewell-performance-article791186.html nicko twisting keans quotes to try and make a story and headline , cant wait till the window is shut and we can get back to getting points and climbing the league table
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Well put, can't wait just to get on with the business of playing football matches. Not denying that we're in need of a goalscorer but hopefully that gets done and we can move on. Silly season usually excites me but this one has been a strain. Rovers 2 - 1 Everton
Aussie.rover Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 cant believe we havent or didnt make a play for scott parker or joey barton and we should b going all out in my opinion to get roman pavlyuchenko or a cheeky bid for david ngog atleast we know they r capable of playing in the premier league
67splitscreen Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I don't see anything that has been twisted, Kean's quotes, just pointing out that if he does leave it is not his decision, he wants him to stay, by putting the onus firmly in the owners court, if he is sold then that tells another story. One which some already believe to be the case. As for Samba being grumpy, I can believe that two, not been communicating with his fans since the beginning of July, no firm offer, he must be well miffed.

Grumpy because of his niggling injury too I think.
canuckroversfan Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Any news on any defensive help, i know Boyata has joined Bolton so we can cross him off our list.
braddock Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Grumpy because of his niggling injury too I think. I think that was more what Kean was alluding to.
67splitscreen Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Of course he was but he is also not going to come out and say he's grumpy cause noone thinks he's worth the asking price. 90 minutes Saturday will put a smile on his face as long as we win.

I think Kean KNOWS Samba is staying to be honest

OJRovers Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Yet another week gone by with Kean's claims of 2/3 new players arriving turning out to be nonsense. Rovers biggest problem last season: lack of goals. Number of strikers signed: 0 (with 3 leaving) Shambles.
Guest ljb Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9219810.Samba_ready_for_action_for_Blackburn_Rovers/?ref=twt more or less what was in the mirror and the same quotes ,but it doesn't mention anything about being grumpy cause he wants to leave, just proves nixon twisted and missed out important parts but most of you still think the sun shines out his backside

Have you read this thread over the past 4/5 days?? The reasons for the delays are, for once, out of Rovers hands. As long as something gets done by Wednesday that is all that matters.
