Cisse available for 13million and Onuoha 3.5million I doubt the compo for Kean will amount to 8.5million.

Your probably right, and I must say I don't disagree with your choices either, both are good players and Hughes is a fine manager, but even looking at your figures do you think they have near £20million to do what you suggest?

What was that, about judging on 1st September? Me thinks by that time, it will be way too late. We have had months to find players, and now we find ourselves scrambling for new players. I really wish the fans would go out there, and really start a major protest. We could really do with a new manager, somebody that would get things going immediately. However, once again it must be said, but the owners are too stupid to know what a mess we are in with baldy in charge.

If he wants all the money he would receive in the last year of contract, I wouldn't make a deal with him,I would make him stay in the team for another season and make sure he sees the end of his contract...

Dunn and Pederson injured, this will test our squad and if we lose guve Kean an excuse that Venkys will swallow.

I think them being injured is a blessing in disguise. Dunny's done OK but is always an injury risk, and MGP plays like he can't be bothered. While they're decent bench players neither should be starting. Not good enough.

Haha, I was explaining what their reasoning might be whilst saying I don't necessarily think that reasoning is wise and you give me a minus one. Thanks for that.

I'm unsure as to why they have done those things. Maybe with new targets becoming available in other areas they decided to shift budgets. Maybe they were expecting further sales to support the purchase of another striker. Maybe they were ensuring they got at least one of the targets rather than missing out on both, as they have been criticised for doing in the past. Maybe they simply changed their mind on one of the players but are holding out in case one of the players proves themselves or the other doesn't come.

We will sign another striker unless something major goes wrong, but the deciding factor on us not getting another striker won't come now, it will come at the end of the window if we haven't already signed one and then another slipping through our fingers at the death due to other factors. One things for certain, chill the #### out now because it isn't going to change anything and what you say is all conjecture anyway. You can overanalyse things as much as you want but what will happen will happen and you'll never know the full story, you'll just decide what to believe after reading biased (either positively or negatively) comments on here and take that as fact. That's all people ever do, they never really know the truth. For your own sanity, just wait it out.

Blimey you talk a load of Tosh.. why may I ask do you support Venkys like you do???.. and what over analysis have I done.. and what biased comments have I read.. Unlike yourself I am basing my comments on direct quotes not imaginary maybes.

I agree that no one will know the full truth of matters.. especially as Venkys will gag any former employee (standard business practice.. not conjecture).

Have you read the offer document on the Rovers site?

Was Phillips and Nickos stuff about the bank issues conjecture or was it backed up by Kean after Venkys are quoted as saying it wasn't an issue?

Are ALL the Pundits and the so called experts (including bookies) wrong?

Did we not have all summer to sign players in the positions Kean and Venkys identified?

Is leaving it to the last 2 days of the transfer window not a bad idea?

Have Venkys lived up to any promise they have made?

Is getting rid of 19 players and signing 6 youngsters really improving the squad?

Is starting a game with a player you have just released (Emerton) a good idea?

Why do you think no successful team ever starts with 6-7 youngsters?

Do you really think 2 wins in 18 games is good form?

Did Salgados comments not back up the fact there are backroom issues?

Can you name anyone outside of defense who is a leader/communicator on the pitch?

Do we have a chairman yet?

If we have finance issues.. why did we give away the sponsorship?

Fact is I base my opinion on a variety of sources, us lacking a leader/a goalscorer/overall experience is backed up by the opinions of most professionals, pundits and allot of people on here.

The reason I post this is out of a hope that Venkys read the forum and realise before it is to late or my fellow fans decide to do something about it (sensibly).. what use will Rovers be as a marketing tool to them if we are in the championship.. what will happen to us then??????

So like a broken record I will reiterate we need an experienced manager, a solid proven defender as backup, a proven and fit goalscorer, and a leader/communicator further up the pitch (pref in midfield) at the bare minimum. As with any profession young lads can be inspirational on their day but experience wins in the end especially when the chips are down because it takes years of doing it right/wrong/winning/loosing to be able to cope and properly inspire in the long run.

Sorry, it's not bad luck missing two penalties.

The only bad luck was conceding one - it was never a penalty - but that shouldn't have made any difference, as we should have had the game won before then, against a desperately poor Everton side.

They say 'you make your own luck' well we are doomed to failure with SK in charge. I'm afraid he isn't a 'lucky' manager in the same way Kenny was, and still is, and maybe Moyes is too with today's evidence.

If no changes are made in the managers chair I feel we are in for a very long hard season.

Time for some experience at the helm - I'm open to suggestions - but I want an experienced 'lucky' manager like Moyes. Go on Venkys, throw some money at him and show the fans you care, and prove us all wrong.

After the Everton game i still think 2 full backs needed, and definitely a replacement for Roberts, hopefully the signing of George John will help the centre half problem.

Plus points definitely Formica, give him game time and we may have found a real gem.

Goodwillie a much better option than Roberts, needs a run in the team.

Petrovic given a run in the team could be a quality addition.

The lad from Sporting Lisbon all the indications and people who have seen him point to him being a very good player.

Kean has signed these players and now needs to back his own judgement and start them on a regular basis.

People here said million times that those player are not going to get experience in bench.

Lets see if he starts Formica next game, because he said "Formica WHEN CAME was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT and created lots of space for himself" .

Was devestated yesterday and I'm still very concerned - the games coming up are worrying.

I think we played very well yesterday, it was great to see us playing attractive football, however if yesterday indicated anything, it's that we need a striker. Roberts isn't good enough. Kean says he's only getting one striker in, I think on yesterday's evidence we need 2 just for the variety. Everton were poor. We need to Onouha in as well.

With what we have and the John transfer we should play the following team against Fulham:

Robinson

Salgado Samba John Givet

Hoillet Nzonzi Petrovic Ollson

Formica

Goodwille

Would bring Vuckcevic and Rochina as first subs. I feel as though that it is a strong side, but i've lost faith in Kean's ability to motivate them. I have done coaching and it has to be said i'm not cut out to be a manager, i'm too nice and I think Kean's the same. You need to be abit ruthless, I would keep him in charge till thursday, start speaking to managers now. I.e Hughes and Curbishley see if they would come. I fear though that Venkys will say trust us we have a plan and we let you down. Too late for that venkys our attendences will drop and they need to remember we are the club, without us their would be no club - the majority of fans want a change, Kean still has his supporters but he was never the man for the job.

I would have the same, but eitehr Vuckevic or Rochina starting instead of John - and have Olsson at left back. Givet and Samba at centre back yesterday were very good - but I have no idea at all why the ref didn`t give to fouls against Samba for blantant fouls on the edge of our box - it looked like he went for the man both times rather than the ball !

A player I have seen a bit of this season is craig mackail - smith, who currently plays for brighton. He is likely to be playing for Scotland in the next few weeks. Gordon Greer (ex-rovers) has also been playing pretty well.

I remember Greeer he never got a chance 4 us. WE should have got Mckail smith, he would have done it in the premier league, far better than Roberts, but the thats not hard.

Do you think this will happen though Kammy? Would be good player for us though.
