Let's hope it's the former.

The deadline is on Wednesday? Rovers still need to strengthen, we need at least one defender (maybe two if Samba goes) and one striker. It's going to be a tough job for them to get those areas sorted out and at the same time fight off any interest in key players like Samba and Hoilett.

and don`t forget the 2-day medical - FFS we are screwed ! especially if we keep starting with the lone wolf up front.

Not sure whats happened last few days, am i right in assuming 2 days ago we had money and deals lined up and now that money is unavailable and all potential deals scrapped. Has someone (a) realised relegation is inevitable under kean so why spend any more (B) samba needs selling before we buy © Hoilett contract taken transfer fund (d) Just been lies in public and asset stripping in the background treating the fans like mushrooms

i'm thinking (e) they'll sell the ground before we buy

Remember Mrs D talking last December about leasing players as the way to go?

Let's get praying we get very lucky with our two loan slots and that we fail to shift either EHD or Grella because we probably need all four of them.

I think it fair to say that the bridge was burnt long ago with Diouf so we can forget him.

What I can't figure out is why the deals have been ditched so late in the day, the deals must have been sanctioned to get to the medical stages, Hean said Thursday Ibisevic had 24 hrs fair enough that past, with a no show, what had gone on with John god only knows, last night Kean's statement we will .......... Striker and CB ....... Wednesday ....... something has clearly gone tits up since last night IMO.

The two loan deals that were teed up allegedly Onuoha and Gibson look like goners also.

I'd love see JR top his glass back to half full after this shambles. Pissing clubs, players and agents about does noone any favours, who'd want to loan us a jock strap after this charade let alone a player.

havent these morons being doing this all summer though? getting players on the verge of signing then pulling out at the last minute? have they just been pretending to almost sign these players just to keep the fans from going into meltdown? they clearly have no money and are just leaching off the club, i want them out.

Perhaps the owners watched Jason Roberts performance on saturday and though 'we cant sign this Ibisevic fella, we need someone who can play now, instead of this sh!t player'.

Here's hoping anyway!

You cant help but love your optimism, your clearly insane.... but it's fun to read.

Manager Tanner Ibisevic another Hoffenheim The possible change of striker Vedad Ibisevic the Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim to the Blackburn Rovers of the English Premier League is still in limbo. "He still turns on our training ground his rounds. He still is one Hoffenheim, "said manager Ernst Tanner. The Bosnian national team after a muscular bundle plan further training in the building. A flight to England for the mandatory medical check failed because of lack of visa. "It is in the works. We still have three and a half days. It has to fit everything, "said Tanner. Ok realistic head then - they saw us against Sheff Weds & Balaji now thinks we are the new Barcelona, and is about to hand Kean an improved deal

I get a bad feeling that we are done for the window now.

Given the amazingly long amount of time it seems to take for anything to get done at Rovers thesedays I doubt we can wrap up a permanant deal, maybe get a loan or 2 in and take a hit on the wages/fees to get them here.

Just completely dejected about the whole situation bring me the days of the Walkers and Big Sam anyday.

I can't see us signing -anyone- before the window closes. Deals seem to fall through at medical stage, which is ridiculous. What is more baffling was the fact that Kean confirmed to media that players would complete their signings within x amount of hours. Yes, Kean indicated that the ibisivic deal might fall through, but still! 4 days before the window shuts! How on earth are we to complete any signings when we have struggled so much this whole summer...?

I'm sure that our reputation amongst clubs and agents has been tarnished with so many potential tranfers being cancelled at very late stages. Not to mention all the interest we have had in dozens of players that have resulted in nothing.

In addition to this, Hoilett's contract should have been taken care of months ago. Delaying the securing of our best offensive player is preposterous.

I'm not reading much into a Mirror story to be honest.

Probably the same journo who put his reputation on Rovers spending £50m in this transfer window

Both stories were correct at the time they were written Andy.

Nixon wasn't the loon but it transpires he was writing about loons unfortunately.

Why dont you try reading other threds? Is it because you dont like the title ? or is it because it does'nt meet with your ever optimistic approval.

We are in the ###### and I bet not one more player is signed and our most expensive players ie Samba, Givet still have a chance of being sold.

To me the transfer thread is a good place to hide while bigger fish are fried, things are happening to our club while so many fans whine about signings, we have put the stoppers on two transfers that were incoming, maybe you will ask why soon.

On Friday we had two deals in place. One a 'Formality' the other a fee agreed with the player coming over for a medical but with a temporary hold up of a visa to enter this country. 48 hours later the 'Formality' is now back in the USA preparing for a game on Tuesday and we have pulled out of the other transfer. Thats two deals now dead and we fans are again left filling in the pieces. Its amounted to a lot of speculation in the Jerome Andersen thread. It makes for grim reading. Although some of the speculation does not add up, in fact I cant buy any of it for the simple reason, how on earth do we fans or ITK guys know about something the FA don't and trust me if the FA had a sniff of this they would be all over it as the speculation is leading to the illegal use of an agent which is a very serious allegation. We would be under investigation and a transfer embargo would be in place. Thats just my opinion on that. Back to the facts of having pulled out of two deals in two days. Friday deals in place Saturday we lose with the owners present to witness a half empty stadium and the sound of boos towards the under pressure manager at the end of the 90 minutes, which brings us to today deals dead. If we throw more facts into the picture of this week just gone, we have two new directors at the club, Jerome Andersen was surprisingly present on Wednesday nights Carling cup game with the owners, before that we lost to Aston Villa in a poor fashion and on Tuesday Steve Kean was given a dreaded vote of confidence. If I put the pieces of the puzzle together I know what picture I am seeing based on the facts of the week just gone. The owners clearly have long term interest in Blackburn Rovers for good or bad. They brought an expensive mansion in Lancashire also employing two new much need Directors to our board one of which is a close family friend and lets face it Blackburn Rovers is the size of Dawn French compared to the small size of Victoria Beckham being Venkys. If the Owners fail Blackburn Rovers and put our club in serious trouble that will have a knock on effect to their family empire which will in turn fail. These are smart Business people that are being judged because their poor knowledge of football. We are in trouble massive trouble and maybe just maybe Mr Invincible is going to face the inevitable.

Thing is the FA don't jump on these things for a long long while and they are hard to prove.. take portsmouth, Wham, Leeds or QPR.. they let QPR off the hook on the last day of the season, Wham and Portsmouth both took a long while to sort out despite the rumors being around for a long long while.

Keeping my fingers crossed someone (namely Mrs D) has finally got a grip and Tuesday will be a new manager, some funds and a new start.. but hey that's just me dreaming most likely we will end up with a couple of loan signings at best.

For me this is the key to the first half of the season. Two players who could make a difference and go straight into the first team.

The way it's currently looking i'd go for a right back and a striker. I think we have more than enough players to play "in the hole" or out wide. But what's the deal with international loans? We had two players on loan from the Premier League last season and J Jones....
