Don't get your hopes up with thoughts of any worth while signings. Our manager and owners aren't capable of pulling off anything of th like.

My predicion is maybe a loan signing but nothing ground breaking. But our fantastic owners will tell us how our current squad is good enough for a top ten finish and that Keans got a job for life.

Gibbs is always injured.

Don't think Martin is ready for a top team yet, defensively he's a bit all over the place - not too dissimilar to Clichy. Will play a very important part for us this season, don't want to lose him.

Just to cheer everyone up, Nixon describes are current efforts in the transfer market as 'Trying. Failing.' By that, I think we can assume that this aging striker thing has not been successful. Big surprise. Also he agrees with everyone on here that we'll only sign Scott Danns if we sell Samba. Silver lining is that there's 'nothing doing' on the selling Samba front.

This needs to happen as much as a new striker. As it stands we have two barely recognised strikers, one of which is unproven at this level and the other has been proven to be absolutely terrible. How on earth has this taken so damn long. Its not as if we didn't have these problems last season. Absolute shambles.

Where does it leave Givet? Olsson was very good against Everton and won't be moved into midfield with the likes of Hoilett, Vuckevic and Rochina already battling for those places.
