Kean calls the shots?! To be honest aslong as we sign a goalscorer, a defender and maybe JJ on loan - then im not too worried for now. We can look at that after the deadline day has passed.

Agree there Hughesy. we need 3 or 4 signigs in before the deadline tomorrow at 11pm.

Still need 1 striker (maybe 2 strikers imo), centre back, midfielder and full back.

Wouldn't be too disappointed with that - when there was only him and Torres at Liverpool and Fernando was constantly injured he looked like, given enough game time, he could turn into quite the prospect. Amazed that he's only 22, too. Him and Dann would be fine with me.

I agree. plus he has got pace and scores goals.

Wonder if we could sign 2 strikers and Dann plus a midfielder and full back. probably trying to be too positive tbf. :rolleyes:

Is the deadline 11pm chaddy ? Is it not 12 ?

Sorry to ###### on everyones parade, but an Arsenal fan on another board has just told me they are v close to annoucing a signing from a premiership side in Lancashire, and he is adamant it's not Cahill. He reckons theres alot of journalists on twitter syaing it although I haven't checked. I really really hope that's not true.

Is it just me but do we need to spend 5 million on Dann? We have 3 good centre halfs at the moment someone like George would have been fine IMO, the dire need is for a good striker would it not be better to invest most of your budget on that?

That's Kean thinking. You build from the back. We need both is the fact of it.

As I said earlier, Dann only makes sense if Samba leaves. Otherwise the money would be better spent on a striker, with someone as George John filling the backup void. However I cannot imagine Samba being cheaper than Cahill, so if he was their first choice it sounds a bit strange.

That is correct. Wonder whats NOT gonna happen for Rovers tomorrow!!!! Just hope we can get Dann on board and Id be happy as I think Goodwille is showing promise already. He did more in the time he was on than Roberts did all last season and things started to happen when he was on with Formica

As I said, start of the week we are leaked positive news, fees agreed, talking to players.

Then weekend comes we get beat and the so called imminent transfers dissapear and the whole cycle starts again.

Also, someone tweeted that danns agents are still offering him to other clubs because maybe his agent dosnt want him to come to ewood.

And apprently QPR have had a bid accepted.

I was afraid of this. Warnock or Kean? Whom would you choose?

Not an overwhelming experience either way but I'd go with Warnock. At least he's a manager.

Not an overwhelming experience either way but I'd go with Warnock. At least he's a manager.

It's not all about the manager, more often it's where they prefer to live and according to some reports he prefers us as we're nearer to his Merseyside roots.

Not going to get to excited, how many times have we had this over the summer, Also isnt nicko the one saying there's nothing in Danns?

His agent doesn't care where he goes. It's his job to get as many clubs interested as possible to drive the wages and therefore his commission up. If he comes to a "relegation certainty" then he gets to do it all again in 12 months.
