donnermeat Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 According to Sky looks like Arsenal are in talks with Mertesacker. If this is true hopefully it would end interest in Big Chris. Edit-Nelsta beat me to it
Hughesy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Nicko saying Dann is loan with view to buy later, Yak is crap and a much bigger deal going on...,,
lukey Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I'd be happy with Dann whatever the circumstances in which he joins us. On the striker situation...... I guess all we can do is hope.
Nelsta Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 i asked Nicko wether the striker was N'Gog, Yakubu or Beckford. He said "No, Sexier than that"
stu07 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Nicko saying Dann is loan with view to buy later, Yak is crap and a much bigger deal going on...,, This would be better, if the fee is agreed now. Good news that we are looking for a better striker, I wouldn't mind Andy Johnson from Fulham. He and Maynard would be good, but i think Ngog would be more likely.
Scott18 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Just showing Spurs transfer special odds on SSN, has Samba always been 13/8 to join them?
BRFC_Pilkz Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Just to let everyone know, Jerome Anderson is on TalkSport in the next hour. Do they do phone ins?
47er Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 It's not all about the manager, more often it's where they prefer to live and according to some reports he prefers us as we're nearer to his Merseyside roots. Wow--good news! Hope you heard right.
sharpysharps Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Did Trezeguet ever find a new club? Just a thought
A cup of beans Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Wouldn't be too disappointed with that - when there was only him and Torres at Liverpool and Fernando was constantly injured he looked like, given enough game time, he could turn into quite the prospect. Amazed that he's only 22, too. Him and Dann would be fine with me. unbelievable! ngog 19 goals in 94 apps! we were interested in him a month or so ago.. but then changed our minds! sums up this irritating window. rovers indecision is final!
stu07 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Do they do phone ins? Not with guests, i think they do read out email questions. But if your going to ask him questions make sure they aren't seen as having a go at him cause they wont read them out. I would probably ask about what types of players we are going for and why the deals have broken down.

Fife Rover Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 The Dann bid is very real and was made today, and the striker is also closer to home, have a little look around Goodison Park, you may just find him I just hope and pray you are not referring to Jermaine Beckford. That useless lump is worse than we already have.
A Tugay Substitution Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I just hope and pray you are not referring to Jermaine Beckford. That useless lump is worse than we already have. I can't imagine Everton selling Saha unless he is perma-knacked, but would be happy if we got him! I'll stop dreaming, I think I'm resigned to big names being mentioned and nothing at all happening because of the clueless gimps we have in charge. All it would take though is two signings, even if one of them was just a decent defender on loan, to make this the most promising transfer window in ages! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it really is hard not to grasp at any straws.
Del Bhoy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 hes on now... http://www.talksport.co.uk/radioplayer/live/
Fife Rover Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Here in America most managers don't decide which players to get, so it's not necessarily a terrible idea. But it does raise the question-if Kean isn't calling the shots on transfers, then who is? I think we ALL know the answer to that one.
King Kenny's Magic Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Could the Raul deal be back on? Just a thought...
newfan Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 anderson saying wenger look at samba technicality and may not sign him asking about rochina now(about the whopping agent fee) "rochina valued 7 million euro at that time" "many clubs in europe were monitoring him" "Sir alex said kean where did you find that player" (after the reserve match against manu last season)
garnersfags Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 anderson saying wenger look at samba technicality and may not sign him asking about rochina now "rochina valued 7 million euro" Was this in response to a text question from a listener, I only caught Anderson's response? I thought he stuttered slightly over this response....
Guest TheArtistFormallyKnownAsJB Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I find it hard to listen to that snake of a man. How on earth he can justify the fact the agent was paid 5x the transfer fee is beyond me. We as fan's should be more worried as a collective, fans from all teams should see that this is simply money being taken out of football. Agent's and so called Super Agents, need top be kicked out of football. I wish the FA, and Fifa would grow a pair - Come up with a way of getting rid of these blood sucking pricks. Fair enough, players benefit from it, but cap the sodding agent fee's, make it a standard fee for all teams.... What Jerome basically said was that even though Rochina's transfer fee was 400k - Rovers had to stump up the extra money for the agent to bring the player to us. This cannot be right! Jerome can say that "Ruben Rochina is worth 2m"... I would probably be the first to agree with him in that sense. But the way that Snakes like him can "engineer" moves, without the club even knowing is beyond me. (and the worst part of it all, whilst admitting to that, he had NO SHAME.. Like engineering people out of their contracts for monetary gain is an honest living. Does the guy even know what Ethics are?) I cannot see how this can carry on.
stu07 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 He's covincing isn't he. If he's telling the truth, then we should be fine with the Rochina deal. I'm not sure if thats the case. He is right we have an outstanding talent there for 2 million.
newfan Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 key making mockery of rovers champ league with 5 million anderson "if they said so then no "
