Had a name thrown at me today from a couple of different people suggesting we have an interest now in a Moroccan striker currently plying his trade in North London,

I'm trying to chase up if there is any truth in it, but certianly a suprise to see him being linked with Rovers.

Chamakh. I wouldnt want him. He missed half of last season through exhaustion. We couldnt afford that risk. Plus would that mean a swap deal involving samba? Hope not.

I'm thinking of smashing in loads of strong sleeping pills enough to see me out for around 36hrs, I bet I wake up and we will have signed....................not a bean.

Found it incredulous that we tried to land the Yak, even more incredulous that he turned us down !!! Just about says everything in many ways.

Both Mertesacker and Vermaelen are at least as good, if not better, than Samba, and Koscielny and Djorou are also solid defenders (although they (have) struggle(d) with injuries). Can't see them going for Samba if they get Mertesacker in.

Hope I'm not jinxing anything by posting this!

Solid defenders? They just got walloped 8-2 with those 2 clowns at the back

Personally, I think it was B.S...but there is so much out there it'shard to know what may be credible and what is just made up by bored journos..

surely it can't be Chamakh,arsenal lack strikers would they let him go maybe on loan but not permanently,what a great striker though but lacking in confidence at the mo

Not a snowball's chance in hell of him joining Rovers with Kean as manager, IMO.

Burton's window will be full of bare arses if he does !!!!

chamakh would be very very good, easily a 15-20 goal striker if he plays all games and gets plenty of chances.

Chamakh is a very good player in my view. I think he would come to rovers if he get 1st team football.

But I will wait and see who we sign by tomorrow at 11pm then judge whether it has been a good transfer window for us or not!!! Only 27 hours and 12 minutes left of it NOW!!!

Still trying to get a further confirmation on Chamakh, Nico had no idea on Dann or Yakubu despite me being informed Dann held talks yesterday, and me breaking Yakubu last night.

There may be nothing in it, but the source of it was quite strong

It is in balance. He was one of two yesterday and today. Mind u there could be more with this mob.

Couldnt comment on that as I don't know who Niko is referring to, and i'm still chasing up confirmation on Chamakh.

That many names being thrown in melting pot, its hard to work out the enquires from the solid interest

Surely he is the sexy striker? Although its hard to tell. He uses too much in the way of hair products for me.

bendtner is neither sexy or a striker, more of a waste of space, if its him i will pull my hair out

did nicko say that the sexy striker was a free transfer? if so, i cant see arsenal letting chamakh go on a free
