I'm losing the will to live.

I've no idea who this could be. Pauline Calf maybe? Either way, unless this has been bubbling away quietly for a few weeks its bloody ridiculous to be making fresh moves this late in the day. We passed up players like Witsel and Piatti becasue we were worried about value for money, and now we're making fresh attempts to lure an expensive big haired ego to the club!

It's not just now, chaddy; I fear we're reaping the whirlwind of several months' mis-management at all levels of the club.

I've got really mixed feelings about 11.01 pm tomorrow - one one hand, the window will have shut and, apart from loan players and players who aren't on the books of any other club, that's it till January. Which means none of us need spend so much time on here reading and recycling rumours.

On the other hand, I fear [and I know I'm not alone in this] that none of the gaps we can see need to be filled will have been filled.
