AmazinTim Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Bentley coming in, if true, could signal a move up top for Hoilett.

brian nelsen Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Why, oh why has it come to this? Whoever is writing this script is one sick basket. Make or break tomorrow, and let's be honest, why would we expect else but break. Anyway, 23 hours or so and counting.
Hughesy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Makey, Glen, Kamy are all hinting at something much bigger & better than Toni....so lets just keep our fingers crossed. I think if Bolton move for Dann then we go for Onouha - it will be one or the other. Bentley on loan & Lansbury on a permanent deal & perhaps JJ on loan? Then add a goalscorer and sell no key players = happy!
ChrisyG Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Sorry to be negative, but from what I have witnessed so far, I will be amazed if we manage to sign one player tomorrow.
steo Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Bentley coming in, if true, could signal a move up top for Hoilett. Or worryingly a move away let's not forget he has not signed a new deal which imo is a disgrace on rovers part, all my faith has gone and yet again today we get no answers, have we bid for Dann, has he had a medical, have we even contacted brum
RoverMad86 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Bentley coming in, if true, could signal a move up top for Hoilett. Or to the left wing, with Formica in the middle and a really good striker up top. We can all live in hope. One day to shape a season.
Sverre Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Bentley is a good and proven PL player. But where does he fit in? We've got plenty of midfielders.
Hughesy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Bentley is a good player. BUT But where does he fit in? We've got plenty of midfielders... Shift out MGP & Diouf tomorrow and a spare slot for him...
steo Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Bentley is a good player. BUT But where does he fit in? We've got plenty of midfielders... if we were to sign bentley we would need to buy a target man similar to roque Santa Cruz which worryingly makes signing Toni a feasible option,no point signing bentley when you have Roberts upfront.
texasrover Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 hopefully the Bentley thing has nothing to do with samba going the other way.
glen9mullan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 No bids for Samba yet, which is Vital for our progress, Have asked his brother just now his thoughts, and his reply was Samba is STAYING, Whoever comes through that doot in the next 22 hours, will not be better than the news big Chris is staying IMO
lukey Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 It was a loan apparently wasn't it? So I doubt uts got anything o do with samba.
bigbrandjohn Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Bentley is a good and proven PL player. But where does he fit in? We've got plenty of midfielders. Love to have him back but if he fell out of love with Hughes first time round I wouldn't bet on him falling in love with Kean second time around.
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 A couple of things nicko has said on twitter late on tuesday When questioned on possible midfield name..... Midfielder name of Steven Davis does keep coming up. No idea how that can happen When questioned who Yakubu is still in negotiations with.............. with Rovers On Dann.... There's an attempt to take him and pay later ... When u get rest of Phil Jones money. Reasonable idea

Do you ever sleep?
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Have asked his brother just now his thoughts, and his reply was Samba is STAYING, You sound suprised.....been telling you for the last few days he isnt going anywhere, as isnt Olsson or Hoilett.
Brfcrule1 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Could either Hughesy/Kamy/Glen/Makey or anyone else in the4 know have deals been definitely lined up & what is the latest on Dann did he have his medical today? How likely is it he will sign?.
Nate Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 You sound suprised.....been telling you for the last few days he isnt going anywhere, as isnt Olsson or Hoilett. Especially as Arsenal have apparently signed Per Mertesacker
BangkokRover Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Or worryingly a move away let's not forget he has not signed a new deal which imo is a disgrace on rovers part, all my faith has gone and yet again today we get no answers, have we bid for Dann, has he had a medical, have we even contacted brum Was Keans idea to leave till after the season ended. MASSIVE mistake if he is not going to sign he should be sold instantly.
glen9mullan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Good grief man. Do you ever sleep? Never on transfer deadline day I'm due a rest and will certainly be taking one come Thursday.
brian nelsen Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Never on transfer deadline day I'm due a rest and will certainly be taking one come Thursday. forgive my ignorance. I may have missed something, but what actually came out of 'Fan Day' or are the repercussions still ongoing/under wraps?
glen9mullan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Could either Hughesy/Kamy/Glen/Makey or anyone else in the4 know have deals been definitely lined up & what is the latest on Dann did he have his medical today? How likely is it he will sign?. Things have changed dramatically in last 48 hours, New agent's are now feeding on the cash cow which is significant, as a new set of targets are emerging. It is all very cloudy surrounding Dann, with conflicting info coming out/ but I have been told that he has already agreed terms with Rovers and was at Rovers as early as Monday with his agent, although the fee is still yet to be finalised. My reading of is its a permanent transfer and NOT a loan. (This is what I strongly believe is the current standing on the Dann deal) Others are saying its a loan with view to permanent , some are saying we have not agreed a fee, and some are sayimg he has yet to to enter dialogue with the club and has not been to Rovers yet. So I guess its down to what sources you trust ect or the nature of where the info came from.
BangkokRover Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Things have changed dramatically in last 48 hours, New agent's are now feeding on the cash cow which is significant, as a new set of targets are emerging. Forgive me if I don't hold my breath but how many times have we heard this?
glen9mullan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Forgive me if I don't hold my breath but how many times have we heard this? I can understand your concerns as we have heard so many things this summer only for the goal post to be suddenly moved, It's my understanding that Pini Zahavi is now in the loop, what this leads to, I don't know, its very early days
steo Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 How are most of us going to work tomorrow, if we sign no one and samba leaves in last minute job to spurs it will be death to venky's all round I just hope they know that,i got way to excited when I heard about the Dann deal because he is a top class defender and paired with samba and givet at left back would make us strong but salgado is now a liability so we need a right back aswell, hope we sign a proper goalscorer and not just get a loanee in,venky's splash the cash.apologies for the spelling, this fone has a mind of it's own
