Makey - you have been quiet and lurkign in the background and your info is usually spot on - can you share anything on the last day pls buddy ?

Kamy / Glen(ns) - are you likely to divulge this new list today as it doesn`t really matter than much after today i.e alerting other teams etc.

Also, do you expect the signigns to be today or is everythign going to be last minute - I`m concerned that we don`t really know or heard of people having medicals the last 2 days, so what the hell happens if we try and sign them today in relation to medicals ?

I am really nervous about today as our squad will struggle to get out of the relegation zone, this is a massive day in terms of Rovers premiership status and I hope Venkys and the team get it right and don`t let everyone down again and sell our great club short.

Pappe Cisse looks to be staying at Frieburg because they can't replace him this late in the window. Gutted.

Wright Philips appears to be going to QPR.

I'm not sure about Luca Toni, would take Yakubu as a backup striker. I fear if we do get him, it means we are settling for two average strikers, instead of 1 quality striker.

If we are after 2 lets get Andy Johnson and Nicky Maynard - I think wages combined we would be paying out far less than Toni and Yakubu and would get more goals.

As for Gignac, good player - he would have bee good for us, but Fulham appear to signing great players for when they play us - i.e. pointless after 4 games

Gignac is a French international who was heavily linked with a move to us two summers back (I believe that was when it was). He's hardly someone that most won't have heard of.

From what I've seen of Gignac since his name first popped up a few seasons back I wouldn't be to disappointed if another side sign him. He looked awful for France against Ireland in the last playoff games and his scoring record isn't exactly amazing especially in Ligue1. He also strikes me as a bit of a sulk.

Couldn't agree more philipl. We've all known what was needed since the final whistle blew at Molineux in May. Yet here we are, on the last day of the window, scrambling around like, if you'll forgive the pun, "headless chickens". So much for careful planning on behalf of the owners and the manager. Let's just hope that whoever we manage to grab is able to hit the ground running at Fulham on Saturday week.

Scott Dann would be a big bonus. With him in I'd say our defence is reasonably strong. One decent striker and a loanee and I'd be satisfied with the window in terms of transfer activity.

Not a bad back four once its confirmed - I think Samba and Dann would be an ace partnership in the centre.

For me we need a back up or first choice right back, coupled with 2 strikers who are of a good standard and NOT Luca Toni FFS ! if we have anything left in the locker, then a JJ replacement - smaller, mobile defensive midfield enforcer and that would give us a nice balance throguh the team with strenght to bring people off the bench barring injuries.
